Hands down this is the absolute best diy video for steering wheel covers! Clean video from the right angles, great instructions- clear and easy to understand... I've browsed through quite a few videos but none was made with such detail. You obviously had the viewer in mind when you made this. Appreciate it bro.
This should be the #1 video on threading a steering wheel cover. I watched so many different videos and they all lost me.... This video tho, I understood perfectly! Thank you so much for a quality diy video!
Exactly what I was looking for before starting my project. Thank you for being so thorough and explaining every step involved in the process. Great video!
Finally found a video where someone did a fantastic job and spoke clearly in the Queens English, worth subbing and great upload. Thanks for taking time and sharing young man, appreciate.
Benefting from this video to this day! Spent a long time trying to read instructions and understand other videos watched this carefully got it straight away
Huge thanks, just what I needed after never holding a sewing needle in my life. Fingers crossed I will do your instructions justice. Wishing you health & happiness.
A man learns to sew, how refreshing! Very neat work, looks lovely! Thank you for that detailed DIY demo, lots of good tips. It certainly looks very different, and adds flair. One tip for strengthening thread, rub some beeswax on thread so it does not break, and glides smoothly without tangle.
I started lacing one on my Honda but after watching this, I find I've been doing it wrong. Thank you for putting this video up. It's really helping me a lot! Now I'll be able to do it right.
Nice video. I installed the wheelskins steering wheel cover and the design and install is a lot easier. You only need one knot and the thick dental floss thread is used single and not double. Also the needle goes directly through holes in the leather and not through thread loops
BEST TUTORIAL EVER! I've not sewn in over 15 years but watching this video made it super simple and made me feel very comfortable doing it! I just installed a leather/woodgrain steering wheel wrap on my jaguar X type as my current one was quite worn and rough. Thanks allot💫💫💫
Excellent video. Better than all the other videos I've seen on this subject. Thanks for explaining what you did while you did it. Makes the idea of lacing up a steering wheel cover much easier. Thank you.
I've had one of these covers sat on my passenger seat for about a month, probably a bit overwhelmed to try and stitch it. Watching this video has just given me the motivation and confidence to go and try it right now. Thanks so much for this video mate, absolutely top work
@@justinemarquez533 90% of the job is incredibly easy, but making it look neat around the buttons and where the wheel spokes meet the middle was hard and it doesn't look great tbh
Impressed with the results ,they really change the interior and looks much better ,I'm going to do another on my second car , thanks for the tutorial all was covered well ,excuse the pun 😄
This is the best and ONLY tutorial that was simple and clear enough for me to follow along and install my own steering wheel cover within 1 hour first try! I've then gone on to install many others simpl8bssed off this video- well done and thanks for the grest content 🫡💯 So good I forgot I left a comment already 1 year ago haha
Thanks bro for this tutorial. This inspired me to do it on my mk5 and with your help it made it so much easier. Thumbs up! However I went through each hole around the whole steering and it made it fit a lot better than when I skipped every other hole method.
Thanks mate, couldn't of done it without you. Still it was long and repetitive but worth it in the end. Better than those all in one things or a furry Shirley....
great video! i love that you explained everything and showed it on the video other videos are just like" you do this and im gonna edit rhis part out and show you the resoult" without your help i would not have a new cover on my steeringwheel
Nice one mate .like you love the feel off a leather cover .but just got a fairly new Sportage and was quite worried id go and fk it up but cheers . mate . Thanks for taking the time to help and do this video.😁
Awesome man, thanks for taking the time to show how its done... Really appreciate it lots! One tip if I may concerning ur dirty floors.... I have beige floors and mats and I hated it that they would get easily filthy, then it hit me.... Once I cleaned them to like new conditions, I then bought high quality "transparent/clear anti-stain durable floor mats" to preserve its color and making them last longer. Also they keep ur floor carpet clean, color and since their clear the original color mats will shine through plus their easy to clean than cleaning carpet mats and the floor carpet of ur car.
Great tutorial! Thanks. 2 questions: Did you skip the double-sided tape (which could be a pain if you ever want to remove the cover)? If you skipped it, have you had any flex in the steering wheel? Do you know how much thicker it made your steering wheel?
This is a really useful and detailed tutorial. After watching this im ready to try restitching the leather on my classic car's steering wheel. What type of thread would be strong enough to use for this please ?

Agree. Same...
so tidy and well shot too; agree... :)
Thank you
Agreed this was great. I did a few things diffrent for my application but this got me started on the right path
This one is so good that company which I bought my steering wheel (Aliexpress seller) uses this exact video as tutorial for their product.

There are some weird people on the Internet. Who dislikes a video tutorial like this?. Well done bro , very good video
Exactly....he did excellent job on that.
Only hate I have is that he’s up selling this kit on his website. Got the same wrap for $20
Thank you so much
You just have to accept in life that you can never do enough for some people

Thank you, your instructions are very simple and you get great camera angles so we can see what is going in. It made it so easy to catch on.
even with 500k views, highly underrated because I was procrastinating putting my cover on for months now. Huge help thankyou!
I appreciate that, thank you

thanks for narrating your process while you’re doing it,a lot of nuances was conveyed making it easier to understand
Great write-up. This makes the job look a lot more approachable.
I ordered my wheel cover recently. Looking forward to installing it.
WOW.. This is better than the actual sellers' instructional videos! Thanks, man.
I have never threaded in my life. Just watched this video and gave me some confidence
Huge thanks, just what I needed after never holding a sewing needle in my life. Fingers crossed I will do your instructions justice. Wishing you health & happiness.
After watching many how to videos, this by far is best video on how to sew steering wheel cover,
Great video mate! I bought one of these covers about a year ago and never had the confidence to fit it 😅 now I feel like I can do it. Thanks 👍

The only stitching video that looks clean. Nice work.
Well done! The installation as well as the video ... you took the time to get the camera angles nice so that details of the job were visible.
Received my cover a couple of weeks ago and just now had time to put on! Looks great! Your video was super helpful! Keep up the good work! Cheers!!
I started lacing one on my Honda but after watching this, I find I've been doing it wrong. Thank you for putting this video up. It's really helping me a lot! Now I'll be able to do it right.
I was wondering how you approach the spokes in the steering wheel. Tucking them in like you did, gives them a factory look. Very nice.

Good stuff bro, just got mine in mail yesterday. I'm about to put mine on. I feel I got this after seeing your tutorial.
Glad I could help
Thank you. The detail at the spokes look like a good solution to the problem.
I don’t even have a VW, but this was the easiest to understand tutorial and helped me do both of my Lexus steering wheels. Thank you!
Glad it helped!

How’d it go? :)

Just practice and patience. Well done for giving it a go

This is way better than the video that was uploaded by the steering wheel wrap company 👍
Thanks bro for this tutorial. This inspired me to do it on my mk5 and with your help it made it so much easier. Thumbs up! However I went through each hole around the whole steering and it made it fit a lot better than when I skipped every other hole method.
Excellent

That’s awesome. You just saved me $130 Australian dollars. I owe you a few beers 🍻. Thanks mate.
