Cuba without Fidel (Documentary of 2013 from the series "I Love Democracy")

- When we think of Cuba, our minds land on Havana or the country's folklore. There is, however, a deeply controversial and complex political history behind Cuba's current situation today, especially since Fidel's brother Raul took the reigns. As the country’s general elections are heating up, this film, which takes the form of a road movie, allows us to travel across the island. A journey made at a key moment, as the debate surrounding post-Castro Cuba is more prevalent than ever before; Raul Castro himself has declared, “The country must change to avoid sinking.” It has indeed been a year since Cubans started being able to work for their own bread. Another proof of the “revolution” prompted by Raul Castro, Fidel’s brother and heir to his throne, is enabling his fellow citizens to legally acquire and sell their homes or even their vehicles. What impact does that hold upon the daily lives of Cubans? From Santiago de Cuba, the nation’s second most important city and starting point to its “revolutionary pathway”, we’ll be meeting a hairdresser who has just began working independently, a state-employed single mother from a backwards town in the mountains who is struggling to make ends meet, a former administration executive who left his job to try his hand at agriculture, and even a priest whose celebration of the Virgin Mary equals that of the nation’s flag. Our journey across the sugarcane fields towards the nation’s capital will help understand the inner workings of a worn-out socialist system desperately attempting to jam its unavoidable decline, at least economically, by visiting a factory that has long been shut down and whose reopening is awaited like the Messiah. Our narrative will also include striking videos recorded by dissidents as well as archival footage. Beyond the revolutionary fables, what is there to be said of the school and health systems still considered brands of the regime? What do a 20-year-old’s dreams look like in Cuba? From a former barracks converted into a school to the hospitals’ interiors, the film demonstrates the gap between reality and bygone revolutionary fantasies. As we go through shops, marketplaces, we witness firsthand the Kafkaesque effects of the dual currency system the Cubans must deal with to satisfy their most basic needs. And all along our journey, as we also decipher what went on behind the scenes of the shoot, what with our local guide who was as much an assistant as he was a censor, we draw as close as possible to the complex reality of a political system clinging to its last breath… Our road movie broadens its reach through the interviews led by Daniel Leconte with important political figures, intellectuals such as the Eduardo Manet, or even the Cuban journalist Julio Cesar Galvez Rodriguez.

Moncada is Brain Wash Institution that the Dictador is a "Hero"
They brainwash the kids at school with communism with no other choices from parents. Not private school no religion for the first 40 years
Please give Cuba credit for everything they did to survive the sanctions blockade and other nasty things happened to them

In the meantime the Castro family and friends are living it up. They've never gone without and traveled the world in style.

I'm a Pro -Independent Government , Free HEALTH CARE AND FREE EDUCATION ,The only thing that is choking Cuba is the 60 yrs Embargo , Lift that Embargo and let Foreign Investor build Hotel and open resort and Cuba would be the Meca of Great Health care and Hospital treatment for cancer , Cuba has the Mind , the will , but lack Money due to the Embargo that can cripple any country to its knees .
Actually that statement is bullshit. A flagrant lie. I am a Canadian who has had a 20-year relationship with Cuba. I see these things stated by North Americans and there is no evidence of such. Have you ever noted how many days Castro was out of Cuba unaccounted for? Granted a few crumbs drop here and there. But that's true everywhere.

The committees for the defense of the revolution (CDR) are not regulated, there is only one person in control and that person determines how quickly you obtain resources, favor or if you receive resources at all, so in essence, that person is a dictator with no way to remove them
That person determines whether or not you get a job, a referral, a reference or a raise
moonbeam - January 1, 1959. Fidel Castro first order of business. Send his useful idiots, thugs soon to become "Los milicianos" to confiscate all guns and jail all gun owners who refuse to hand them over. He used lists of gun owners from gun owner registrations enforced by predecessor, Fulgencio Batista. Ever seen people executed in the streets? My family did and I saw pictures taken by one reporter friend of my dad. The reporter later disappeared. Does that answer your question?
love di choreo - I remember what we "Los gusanos" called the CDR no just ñangaras but "chivatos"
After we got the visa to leave Cuba, the CDR rats came to our house to do their "inventario" The noted everything we owned from bullshit nick knacks to jewelry. If anything went missing before the day of departure we would not be allowed to leave the country. We were not allowed to give away any of our belongings to relatives or anybody, in addition, they dictated what we could or could not bring with us to the US including some family pictures and airlooms. I had a violin I had to leave behind. The more I think about this as I write the more enraged I get and the stronger my hatred for Communism grows.
Cuba has been embargoed since the 1960s when Eisenhower cut all import and sugar and oil. Cuba then turned to Soviet Union for crude oil but needed refineries which were US owned. They refused to refine Soviet oil so Cuba nationalized them. The US then fully embargoed Cuba under the Kenny administration. Then in 1990 the Soviet Union fell. This documentary makes a lot of jabs about "the system" and basically regurgitates Communism bad, Capitalism good. Yet these people are rich in culture, repair everything and are extremely resourceful, get free education and are fairly well educated and are friendly and relatively happy. Could you imagine if our oil was embargoed and china cut all trade with us? Cuba has some social problems but to me it actually seemed like state socialism / communism is working reallly well given the conditions it was put in.
Amen
Cuban government not only nationalized the oil industry, they nationalized all industries without paying the owners or paying ridiculous sums, that was the reason for the embargo. The Soviet Union came to the rescue and they inject a lot of money into the economy paying high prices for sugar cane and practically providing free oil and machinery, Fidel Castro mocked more than once about the embargo, they said it had no consequences since USSR was our ally at the time. After the Soviet Union collapsed they started blaming the embargo for everything.
What they did with the money before of those years? They trained and armed almost every guerrilla in the continent and went to fight wars where thousand of Cubans lost their life in Angola, Congo, and Ethiopia.
It's true that the education and health care were good during the "good times" while USSR poured money asking just for loyalty. But saying is free is nothing than a lie. We get paid one of the lowest salary in the world, for example, I was paid 50 cuc a month which equal about 50 dollars and the foreign company paid for my position to the state 2500 dollars a month. That means the state kept 98% of my salary to pay for health care and my "free" education, who in the world pays 2450 dollars a month for health care and education?
On the other side we have the lack of freedom of speech, association, press, election. We were not able until 4 years to sell our own houses, or to buy a cellphone, or go to our own hotels. There is only one party, almost 20% of the population has fled the island, I can keep going on and on hope this clarify a few things to people who are not well informed about our reality.
Max Cavalera Honestly Fidel Castro only nationalized after his hands were tired. The rest of that paragraph is true. However the wars were intended ideologically at stopping imperialism in those countries and in a way Cuba protecting itself.
Now at this point you've characterized the USSR as just a big handout to Cuba and that's not true. Education is still relatively good and healthcare is moderately okay. Keep in mind that Cuba has been without many resources for 2 and half decades. To say USSR was the only reason isn't a very good comparison because most countries would have all but failed under the conditions Cuba has been under.
Your tax comparison is not accounting for the other things the gov spends money on. But I am really unsure what you mean the company paid for your position?
Cuba is authoritarian and is in a state of semi-planned state socialism and incidental isolationism. The way education and healthcare become free is by supporting the worker such that he is able to contribute more to the economy than without that it pays for itself. The problem is that Cuba needed to have vast trading partners and more diversified labor.
penguins forall I worked for a so called mix company, Italy investor paid the government in dollars for each position and the government paid us 2 or 3 percent of the total. Same thing happen on Tourism, Healthcare, biotechnology, etc.
I think at this point is a matter of opinion, the fact is that the rafts are going in one direction, out of Cuba...
Max Cavalera
I still confused as to how that's budgeted. Is the investor paying in for assets? If they were paying in capital but based on a per employee basis then 2-3% sounds about right even for an American business assuming you did the same for stock investment and divided it per employee. The only question is why weren't you part of the investment?
I love the Australlian's pov! Thanks for filming his perspective on the effect of capitalism on the world. Outsiders can learn from what the Cubans have done. Everyone appears happy in the film, and technically they aren't missing out on anything. It's beautiful to see everyone get along and live together as one. Wish we could do this where I'm from. Long live Cuba!!
special lechelle - That's just wonderful. Living in a country where the government forces you to tell them how much and what groceries you have bought for the week/month so you don't buy more than what you are allowed and if you ran out or the milk soured that's just too bad when most food is rationed including bread. That does not account for the times you've stood in line for an hour or longer to find out when you get there they didn't have the potatoes you wanted. But you go on looking happy enjoying the music because that's what we Cubans do. You cry in silence at night wondering if your dad or husband was sent to another part of the island to work or if he was taken to prison or executed as a traitor because he cursed the wonderful government. Still the next day you sing a guaguanco because that is what you do, it's in your nature to celebrate life no matter what.
Yes it's a wonderful happy life in Communist Cuba.
So.... when are you moving?
What do you know!!?

I wish i could write more about my experience but we must visit Cuba and give our support they need help from all of the Americas. Blessings to all who watched this
what i dislike very much about Cuba is that after visiting Cuba for many years and upon my return to canada i decided to send some beautiful people I met there some items well needed there. To my surprise i tried to get a b ox together with those items and to my suprise after sending the box which cost 40.00 dollars here, my friends had to pay at their end and since this is out of reach for the people retrieve.
They told me the only solution was to make sure it was not over four pounds to combat this. As anyone know that would be about 2 tee shirts, and with that costing 40.00 dollars, What would be the reasons to send so little which cost so much. does anyone have a solution for my problem. I would love to be able to help some lovely people I have met there as I love the Cuban people. They are so dear to my heart. The women are wonderful and the men could teach our Canadian men how to b e gentlemen.

Yes, : Pesos Cubanos for the people,to pay their basic things when available. CUC's for the Tourists when exchanging dollars, to buy some items in special shops, paying for a fake burger or good local food in familiar restaurants. DOLLARS for the Government/Communist Party members to live their lives in luxury, considering whats in offer inside the island, nothing compared to our countries. Ration Book for the people to get a minimum of ration like 2 kgs of rice, 1 kg of beans, 1 lt oil, 1/2 kg sugar, 1/2 of fake coffe, 1/2 kg of chicken and a few more itens PER MONTH !! Wow! The buildings in Cuba are in dire need of repairs and painting. If the government doesn’t take actions soon, all the structures are going to come tumbling and crumbling down, and Humpty Dumpty will have a great fall. So let me get this straight. Medical facilities are suppose to be clean and sanitized, because of germs and bacteria, but in actuality they are the dirtiest? How are the patients going to have good health returning home, if everything around them is filthy? Dear GOD, please help Cuba. How much more suffering can these folks endure? The Cuban Revolution was not made by one individual. The literacy campaign, the achievements in health and education, the giving of material aid to liberation struggles in Angola, including 425,000 troops, the sense of dignity, were not all granted by Fidel Castro. Or Che Guevara. All were due to the herculean efforts of the Cuban people. The masses of people make history.
Look at Vietnam today. They have no hatred toward Americans. They welcome tourists, investment, all airlines land there. On the street level, its a market economy. Cuba could do the same. Keep the good parts of the revolution. Like education and health care. Just like we have here. Times change, people change. Quit this old cold war crap.

Let's not forget the sanctions and many countries have imposed on Cuba since 1959. Imagine a small country not being able to trade with the majority of the developed world. Of course you'd have a weak economy and thus a harsh standard of life. Yet they have many things which even the USA doesn't have like a good healthcare system. Just blaming socialism or "communism" (remember, there's no state and classes in communism) won't really address the roots of problems cubas and that of many other countries

Miguel, remember that the true criminal is the American government, that's been posing the most horrific embargo to Cuba. And why? Because Cuba dared to break up with the chains of the colonialism of the USA... It's sad, but that's how they act, they chased and killed Che because he was a threat to them... Just like Rome killed Jesus because he was a threat to the Jewish scholars. That's what empires are good at, getting rid of threat, and they criticise others if they do the same. Cuba was a dictatorship under Fulgencio Batista, but they had the USA blessing, because Batista let the USA in and do whatever they wanted there. With all due respect, I'm not Cuban but as a Brazilian, I just dream of my country to be able to break up with the chains the USA have on us. I just dream and hope the USA will fall soon... Hopefully Russia, China and others will unite to break the USA economically... In the great America their citizens already experience hell in certain levels, such as big rate of unemployment and homelessness, no public health care to take care of all, poor education, poor diet, you name it... If Cuba was free to trade with everyone, they'd be so so much wealthier than the USA citizens... Capitalism is a plague.
Oh i wish that they don't get swallowed by US and capitalism. I almost want to come as an economist and to help rebuilding the economy. I have some ideas but I must be there to make an ground analysis how the current situation is. like state factories, the self employed sector, housing, philosophy of the people and so on. I hope that I can get in the situation/possibility in the next months to sent an application.
We definately need some capitalism
But whitout the help and capital, billions of $ from states and friends, Cuba and the beautiful people there, would have collapsed at the longest. Don't forget this fact my dear economist.
They do not expect one thing, with the private business comes money ,with big money comes organized crime, big crime brings big corruption ,the only hope is that they are a small country on the island..and Cubans smart people.

Cuba has been a beacon of prosperity, health, and happiness ever since those evil capitalists were pushed out. Pay no mind to the native Cubans in this video speaking of dwindling food rations, third world (ie. unsanitary and nearly nonexistent) healthcare, and rampant unemployment. Cuba was just horrific before the revolution and now it is a pinnacle of Utopian bliss (except for that pesky crumbling infrastructure, archaic industrial capabilities, and the chronic need to import 80% of the country's food).
How feeble-minded to criticize the Cuban revolution and subsequent communist/socialist experiment. We surely must be missing the big picture here....

Yeah look what it's doin for China; another rat hole. A rat hole that the US has been sold down by our brilliant leaders. Sure embrace the neo con version of capitalism & "free" trade and enjoy your bright future at 7-11. Don't be a yutz not everyone's as well off as you pal!

Ummmmm?... You cant facetiously say "embrace capitalism" in an attempt to say that "tyranny and communism" are a better option than capitalism, then get butt-hurt when I give a joking yet in-plain-view example of why capitalism is a better option. Also, using China (biggest communist nation on the planet) as an example to tell me that capitalism doesn't work proooobably isn't the best route, wouldn't you agree?
Here's what you did: "See! Capitalism doesn't work! Just look at Communist China!"
You're better than that... I'm sure of it.
Furthermore, I'm an accountant at a university, not a 7-11 employee. However I have the utmost confidence that any 7-11 employee I ask would most likely prefer food, healthcare, and job security over dwindling food rations, third world (ie. unsanitary and nearly nonexistent) healthcare, and rampant unemployment (and lets not forget the small stuff like running water, basic electricty, and a working sewage system).
Let's not get into this. We're probably saying the same thing differently. Unfortunately, I wish this country was still a capitalism and less of a plutocracy. China, a communist country, yes, than why the heck do we do so much business with them; we've lost TONS of jobs to them. This discussion is way WAY beyond micro blog or 22 lines of youtube comments.

Fair enough :)
Have a good one!
it is possible to see such scenes and poverty in USA as well.
+Silvio Novaković You can find this kind of scenes as the exception in the USA NOT as the commonality! This is a bit more honest remark isn't it. We do not make the exception (poverty and despair) the norm. Do we??? Kind of justifying a relationship full of everyday screaming and anger with the fact that all relationships argue from time to time. Take care!
+Silvio Novaković In the US people earn $20 an hour not a month. You are just talking out of your ass.
+latengocomoburro And how many Americans are jobless and homeless!?
Silvio Novaković Not as many as in Cuba, that is for sure. Most homeless here are because they drink alcohol or take drugs, those exists in all societies. Homeless in Cuba are like that because of the government.
Is it possible to see Americans risking their life in order to escape and go to Cuba?
This vid is 8 years old, don't know how much has changed since then, but I do know these ridiculous sixty-year-old sanctions on these people must end!!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
End the sanctions, the embargoes against Cuba and the Cuban people. Cuba without Mr. Fidel Castro is the greatist mistake. People don't forget to love the Almighty God and serve the Almighty God.
Viven en un mundo donde se tienen quedarse callado! una juventud con su necesidad y viendo cómo sus paisanos viven bien en Miami con todos lo mejor del mundo!
cuba has given asylum to a lot of black nationalists from america including tupac shakur's god mother. viva
Cuban black were brought by Spanish white colonial power of 500 years
Cuba got lots of intelligent people and very kind but poor because of capitalism or better to say richer dog who control they’re after
remove the embargo and see what happens....why do you judge a country that can't access outside markets??.....China too is communist.. have you talked about them????
C'mon dont be dumb
Thanks for sharing what the truth about CUBA'S LIKE AND NOT LIKE, HILARY CLINTON TOLD THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HOW GREAT THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM WAS LIKE.
can someone please tell me what is the name of the song at the very end ? or singer?
You want free healthcare , theres your "free healthcare " hahahahaha 😂😂😂 same thing with education! So, I rather pay my insurance here in the US than have "free healthcare" luke I had when I was little. Thanks my friend for this video ! Thank youuu for showing the real Cuba , and I can say its the reality bc I lived there. The CDR never does anything good
This is what 'Social Justice' and free everything for all looks like. 😂
I will never forget the guy I worked with once. He had come to the U.S. from Cuba. When I met him he had only been here for 30 days. I still remember that ghastly look he gave me when I asked him what Cuba was like. Apparently there are 2 types of Cubans. The ones that are so happy Cuba isn’t westernized they don’t care how crazy life is there. Then the other, which sees poverty as unnecessary and absolutely stupid. Who cares if you aren’t westernized when living conditions and the level of modernization are a joke. Thx goodness and I am so grateful I am American. I’m the luckiest person in the world!
The embargo did great damage to Cuba
Not nearly as much as Castro's repressive economic policies.
Lived in Cuba the first 16 years of my life, All I can say this regime is a nightmare. I lived the oppression, the lack of everything specially freedom. I encourage all of those who defend socialism to live it in their own flesh in cuba as a regular citizen, not a tourist. I am sure within a month will be crying to wake up from the nightmare.
Unfortunately, the country which you are living in now and you are proud about is causing all this misery or a part in causing it to the Cuban people.
I was helping my 11 year old son with his report on Cuban education. Upon reading about the high literacy rate of Cuba, I became curious. I know that videos here in youtube.com could be biased, I still wanted to sample some. I find that the claims they have regarding education in Cuba is not really that true. The education was so lacking in primary grade most especially in far remote places in Cuba. I was also so excited to find out from my research that Cuba produces a lot of medical doctors. So I researched a little bit more about it. I find it deplorable that there are two types of medical help in Cuba. One for the rich and one for the poor. I come from a poor country, the Philippines. I thought our medical system was so bad, not so. After seeing some of the videos of hospitals in Cuba, I feel that the Philippines still has far better medical care for the poor than in Cuba. I just hope the videos I saw were not true at all. I deeply wish that Cuba will be able to rebuild now that it has been opened up to the west.
Nope, they are all true, in fact, it's against the law to film without a permit either hospitals or schools. You probably only watched 3 or 4 videos that were filmed with a hidden camera or a cell phone. It's really sad, I wish my english was better to write about my grandma and our experience taking her to the hospital, it was a terrible episode in our lives.
this is so skewed! i have seen tons of docs highlighting the trials and tribulations of the cuban people why not highlight some of the positives? Cuba is unique in many ways both positive and negative but this doc has a certain ideological bent that is against the Revolution.
What do you want applauses for the government? You realize that it is their fall everything happening g to the Cuban?
That is the reality of Cubans everyday
@@aidamatokko7027 most of Latin America is utter shit. Cuba punches above its weight by those standards, I’d rather live in Cuba than most Latin American countries which are torn apart by extreme poverty and narco violence
5:17 Their state run businesses discourage people from working for the state when you are earning $.10 on the dollar, the salary becomes too small to live on. I see why they start their own businesses to obtain "my own account" Is their goal to only have privately run businesses there? Do they have to pay the government from that account as well? I'm not sure I understand what the goal is
The translation on the video was wrong, own account ( private business), is what it is. And yes they have to pay to keep the permits and stuff, and they have to pay the government some sort of taxes.
I love Cuba and its People. Mi Bisabuelo era de Cuba. Y llevo su nombre y estoy orgulloso de ello. :)
Let me tell you something folks , there is no right government , but not to become a communist !
Happy for you, Juan. I love Cuba too, and one day Cuba will be free to trade with all countries and it will be much better economically.
He worked for one peso a day in 1958. The Cuban Peso was worth one American doilar, That would be a wage of about $2000 US dollars in today's money per year assuming he only worked 200 days per year.
Is the Aussie guy sober? If he likes Cuba so much, he could stay there, I would love to take his spot in Oz
Anybody knows the name of the music that stars at 39:50?
This truth video sure makes Cuba look sad. Now you'll have to do the same for the U.S.. The healthcare system is a disgrace, the education system a RIP off. The inner cities look like a war zone. The great America is not a lot better.
Dear ‘docs’ - I would like to send money monthly directly to one of those people you featured that has a farm (and connect with them online) - from what I read online it should be possible to etransfer money - I just need to get connected??
I hated watching this .... only an ignorant person would swallow this propaganda nonsense.
You think the Cubans haven't experienced capitalism before?... Of course they have and it was a painful experience... If Cuba's youth embrace capitalism again they too will be disappointed because they would quickly find out that they have ruined something was worth keeping.
Cubans enjoy a better health care than American people and they have it free of charge.
Smart people all around the world understand that over consumption doesn't lead to happiness or good health and looking at Cubans I see a very healthy nation who has learned to share the resources of their land .... If they throw it all away they would become just another USA satellite colony.
The narrator should definitely put some work into his 'unbiased translation' skills. At times, he completely butchers what is being said by some of the speakers, and when he's not doing that, he significantly manipulates the tone and words of the speaker so it can appeal to the narrative of this documentary.
This announcer cannot pronounce "mausoleum", OR "Guevara"... and that is just the tip; very poor.
Dam sure not the best place in the world to live but not the worst. I guess its very individual. If you have what you need and not what you want good friends family what more does anyone need. Americans have way too much. Why dont we life the embargo and ship donations.
A friend of mine went to Cuba, a very shallow girl when she went but left most of her belongings there , which she can replace easily back in the UK. She was forever changed. I never forgot that. I aim to do the same if I ever get to visit.
Jéssica, if it wasn't for the criminal embargo against Cuba, she wouldn't have to do this. I hope you are aware of it. They are very close to Florida geographically, they could have anything an American has if it wasn't for the criminal sanctions imposed by the USA and others, including the UK.
@@samiapassos9659 But what can I, an ordinary citizen in England do about this?
@@JessicaMiller-pc4dj I don't know, my dear, maybe we should start a movement to pressure the politicians about this matter... It's ridiculous what the imperialist countries do to Cuba! Their crime was: take a dictator down (Fulgencio Batista) who had the blessings of the USA, and say enough is enough to a regime of exploitation and colonialism... That was Che and Fidel's crime. Who do they think they are? This matter makes my blood boil.
I was born in cuba raised in usa since I was 8 years old I cant imagine living in cuba now .i became a usa citizen and I love my new home and my new flag God bless america 🇺🇸
Good for you. Dont curse the bridge you crossed. You will never be truly accepted as a "real" american when push comes to shove. Viva TRUMP

what is the name of the song at 23:05?
It is shocking to see these so-called priests singing that godless Fidel anthem on the steps of the church. I have lost all hope for Cuba.
really - why the long and continued critique--so didactic
If imperialism returns... We go to war (Cuban soldiers and retirees) Viva Fidel, Viva! Viva Young Pioneers! Viva!!

It is all yours

If you like Marxist fascism, you'll love Cuba.
@@DrCruel I LOVE CUBA..
I think lot of problems just because of America sanctions
Riling against Castro without talking about the crippling sanctions raised against the people for supporting a revolution that at least at the onset gave a better option than the Batista puppetry has become the pastime of Western parachute documentaries. It's a shame not to talk about the ignominious role of the West against every society that demands a different system than the touted 'democracy'. Western attitude is akin to the attitude of the mouse that wastes what it is unable to devour. The world would be better when we remember that every nation reserves the right to chart whatever path that is good for them. If we don't like their choice, at least don't muzzle their existence and make it look like they've done something horrible.
Your absolutely right. Every nation deserves the right to choose their own path to success. However, this also means every country should take care of themselves. No country has the right to impose their beliefs on another country. This also means every country deserves the right to be free from intervening on another's behalf. Unfortunately, this will never be the case. Every single country that is in danger of failing will always expect others (such as these evil western countries) to come to the rescue. I believe every country should choose their path, but every country has the right to refuse to be part of that path (whether good or bad). But that'll never happen. Everyone loves to hate capitalism until they need something. Then these evil countries will always be expected to come to the aid of every country with their hand out. It's sad. Yes. Choose your path. But accept the good and bad consequences of that path.
One of the best documentaries on Cuba ty!
this is a disgrace to Cuba
United States Embargo and heavy sections have made Cuban citizens suffer.
Very 60 yrs of anybody Forbidding to Sell Cuba goods , Imagine that on any other Latin America country , they would also have a revolution .
So nothing to do with Castro? Where do you people come from?
Have they seen China? Open windows and let fresh air come in. Systems shd be dynamic, not static. Got to move with time.
Chinese model can not be replicate due to culture and politics.
I love Cuba . I plan to visit in Sept. hopefully, if he virus leaves us.
Basically everything in this documentary hearing was stating on how we're going to help Cuba open up their small businesses in 2013 button 2020 and in 2021 if you open a small business that you've had opened you've had business licenses for you have paid all your taxes on you'll go to jail like what happened with the sweetest Swedish immigrant and Michigan on Friday
