    Hi Andrew 🙂 So great to see you back! Beautiful dog! 🤗
    An idea for a workshop could be kindness to self, positive self talk, showing love to ourselves vs. putting ourselves down. Things like that 🙂 I try to stay positive and talk myself down from mean or negative talk, but it's easier to be mean and insulting, even though it's not helpful. So tips on being kind and supportive to self would be helpful 😊 Thank you! 💓

    Welcome back to You tube Andrew!
    Great to see you back. I was just about to hop on and see what you’re up to and start a Spud Fit challenge. I need a break. I need to go back to basics. I’m a long time ethical vegan and been doing the whole foods plant based foods but it’s still too much food, too much effort, too much planning, too much of everything and I’m not losing weight, only maintaining. It just makes sense to go back to spuds only then transition to mega foods. I believe your new program is meal planning, trigger foods, etc but I need a break from all that.
    Great to see you now have a dog! Freddie? He’s gorgeous from what I could see. 😃 Hope to see you more on here ☺️

    Fascinating topic. Love spuds. My mom swears by ashwaganda supplements. Maybe that could be of assisting too much stress/+anxiety , fear etc.

    I had an adenoma on one of my adrenal glands and it produced uncontrolled amounts of aldosterone and Cortisol. That took 15 years plus to detect. High BP Constant hunger, Only 'cat napped' (no real sleep) Had an adrenalectomy but a lot of damage was done before it was detected. I was effectively in 'fight /flight mode' non stop for 15 + years.
    Now I am 90% WFPB (Some things I am finding hard to give up fully but I restrict them).

      @@SpudFit Unfortunately I contracted a virus post op and it has done perm damage to both my nervous system and endocrine system. I wake feeling like some one has literally just stopped kicking the living daylights out of me. The day then goes down hill from there. One of the problems I have is that some signals (like the signal from the stomach to the brain) often does not work. So I can feel starving hungry even just after eating a big meal. Other times I don't feel hungry for days. Unfortunately more the former then the latter.

    Cortisol is released as a stress response and in turn raises blood sugar so insulin is secreted and fat burning stops. So if you have chronic stress in your life it can be a problem

      As I said in the video, I haven't been able to find good evidence that cortisol is linked to insulin in this way. Stress and cortisol can definitely be a problem in relation to weight gain but more because it interferes with the function of our prefrontal cortex and impedes our ability to make logical, rational decisions.

    Hello Mr. Andrew, is it alright if we intake protein worth ~ 250 calories in a day on potato diet, due to weightlifting? Thanks

    • @SpudFit
      @SpudFit  2 місяці тому +2

      I don't think that's needed but that's a debate for another time. If you really want more protein then I'd just add some beans rather than supplements.

    What is your experience with the potato diet related to nonalcoholic liver disease? It is said that people affected with this issue should at all costs avoid refined carbohydrates. Would you say that ingesting mainly potatoes could represent a problem? I would really appreciate your take on this. Thanks in advance!

    • @SpudFit
      @SpudFit  2 місяці тому +1

      I’ve helped plenty of people heal from fatty liver eating only potatoes, other whole plant foods are very good too. Id also recommend avoiding refunded carbs but potatoes are not refined carbs. More important to limit fat. I hope that helps!

      @@SpudFit Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my question. I'm very relieved, and I also think that potatoes are not refined carbs, although many "experts" say the opposite. As a matter of fact, in just about 10 days my blood sugar dropped so much that I could stop all medication. Refined carbs wouldn't do that, would they? 😉
