The best Aussie compliment - Black Square Turbine Duke | MSFS 2020

- Today's episode features another bird in the Black Square Dukedom - the Turbine Duke - on two FSEconomy flights in Australia.
This is another episode where flying is almost coincidental to the experience. Personal anecdotes flow from the stream of consciousness in my unofficial capacity as a tourism ambassador.

GREAT flights Dad. It's nice to have the freedom to do what you/we want at our stage of "maturity". Every time a new plane is introduced into the sim, there are MANY reviews and tutorials on performance, start up etc. But here TFD Airlines, we get true commentary and can see the world. Life is good! !! !!!
Cheers mate. Always enjoy your contributions to the comments :) I don't know how much of the commentary is 'true' but as the great George Costanza said, "It's not a lie if you believe it."
This video found me in the kitchen eating cereal... for the record. Love your videos!
I'm glad to provide accompaniment to your breakfast endeavours. Assuming the cereal was for breakfast. Actually, I'm even more glad if you're eating cereal at another time of the day! Cheers mate.
Thank you for taking me on these journeys. Me, if I may confess to you, I am in good spirits, or the good spirits are in me, taken this morning from a shot. Not a pistol shot, but a glass shot with a transparent liquor packing 50% alcohol proof - a respectable brekkie in my humble opinion. I haven't got pissed on these two epic legs, but just in case, I had handy a handful of pistachio nuts, if it makes any sense anymore. (Earlier this morning I have embarked on the road of perdition with AvAngel's Tubine Duke, sort of a kamikaze feat:) Cheers from Sydney Flying Dad, yours Nick.
I see you got the memo about how best to consume this content. Personally, I don't bother with the glass.
Thanks for your comment mate, I enjoyed it :)
Right from my FSX days, Brisbane has been my nemesis airport for landing. I too, have always had the Orbx scenery but most of the time, landing was like a slide show and it was amazing how much could go wrong between slides.
My Aussie sources tell me that the Mayor of Chinchilla is currently considering granting you the "Freedom of the Western Downs" for your contribution to local tourism. There is one proviso however; that if you ever visit in person again you do not pee on the side of one of their buildings!
Great video and lovely views on the route which (sadly) I will have to do in a different turbine kite as there is currently no Duke on Xbox. Chin chin from near Torquay (in Devon).
Yes, your sources are on the money. The Mayor called yesterday. An offer was presented. I countered with a request for unlimited 'big melons' but am yet to hear back. The emails are bouncing and the phone is just ringing out.
@@theflyingdad I’d go for the big bouncing melons as well. An old Aussie mate of mine once described them as “simple harmonic motion” and for some reason the image has stuck!
Nice landing in Brisbane mate!
Cheers mate
Crackin good video Thank You I prefer the Piston more coplex for me anyway.
My brother from Down Under, I gotta say I don't think anyone who's watched your videos would accuse you of being woke, and be assured, I don't mean that as an insult.
Great video as usual, although I don't know how many more Duke vids I can watch while I impatiently wait for it to come to the Xbox.
Thanks from the states.
Thanks mate. I sincerely hope the Dukes arrive on the 'box one day. Heck, I might buy an Xbox just to enjoy them again on that platform!
I came for the airplane review. I stayed for the stories.
I enjoy your channel. Thanks
Thank you mate
Cheers, mate, from a fellow old man . Enjoyed your video. I may have to get the turbine duke.
