Regarding the different ship lap boards. You’ll run into the exact same problem with trim casing / crown moulding. Best to buy the plastic-wrapped 10-packs from the same vendor, even if it means over-buying so you avoid different pieces.

Hi you guys. Love your videos! ❤ When you called the ceiling fan a fart sucker I lol 😆. Then I also thought about the primary purpose of a bathroom ceiling fan that so many have never learned and instead only use it to muffle the sounds from going numbet 1 or remove the odors from going number 2. Although the bathroom ceiling fan does well for both of those its main purpose is to remove excess humidity from building up while one takes a hot shower. Showers are the biggest contributing factor to ecess humidity that often leads to all sorts of avoidable problems specifically mold! Mold that can wreak havoc on ones health.
So alwsys run your fans while showering as a preventive measure to keep healthy! 😊

Good looking ceiling. Regarding the Christmas tree and decoration: I grew up in a catholic family and I don’t know any bether than my parents removing the tree and decoration the 7th of Januari, which is the day after the 3 kings visited baby Jesus. Now I am 66 and I am still sticking to the tradition. Happy new year.

First and foremost - glad everyone is on the mend or heading in the right direction. Parvo? Ha, that made me chuckle. Lots of good one-liners to enjoy in this one. Well done!! Glad to see the return of the Mini Momentary Pressure Assertion Hootis (MMPAH = hammer). Loving the shiplap in the bathroom. Another great choice.
Watching this was a great way to spend a Saturday morning while defrosting and sipping some coffee. Thanks for bringing us along and Happy New Years Eve Eve!!
Oh, and our tree comes down first week of the January .. or sometimes February. No harm in enjoying Christmas smiles as long as possible.

They should feature your home on one of those home decor shows.
The interior is one of a kind.
It expresses what you like ( at least what Lydia likes) 😊
I love how all of it is coming together
I had never heard the term " fart sucker" before. So know that's what will be in my mind when I turn on my exhaust fan 😊
Jim has got me renaming a lot of things 😊
Hope you had a great Christmas
It's normal to leave the tree up until after New Year's.
    Lydia
It's only normal that the squirrel should be in the tree. Don't they hang out in trees outside?😊
Wishing you the best in 2024
I'll be there to see what you get yourself in to.😊
    Love you guys

Feeling your frustration with the two different styles of shiplap board. The trouble hit me in my last purchase from Lowes. They really don't make it at all obvious that they have both with the slight lap difference between them. I was able to spot the problem as I put up a piece and was able to make the final gap size look right.

We haven't had a Christmas tree since our grandkids were little. But we were known to have a valentine tree and some years a St Patrick tree. Then it got set out on the back deck and sometimes it was a memorial day tree and once even a 4th of July tree. See why don't do them anymore? The bathroom ceiling looks great. We learned that lesson about buying enough material the first time, we bought prefinished siding for our home and run just a few pieces short. But guess what, that color had been discontinued, we ended up having to paint the whole house to get it to match. Thanks for sharing.

Wife has a year round tree. She changes it for all the holidays. Halloween tree is the greatest 😆

Not to get "too religious" but, one would leave the Christmas tree up till The Feast of the 3 Kings, which is the end of the 12 Days of Christmas, so Jan 6th. Otherwise, I love your channel and what you two (three) do. Thanks for sharing your life with us.

The official Christmas season runs all the way to 12th night. If my tree isn't somewhere in the way I leave it till then.

We have the same fart sucker in 2 of the bathrooms (bathrooms with the bath and shower), and they are awesome. Turning the heater on during a cold morning just makes the bathroom so nice!
Tree came down on the 26th. Family was leaving the next day so more hands, the better! Happy new Year!

This makes me wonder how much more of this "stuff" Lydia has to put up with off camera. 🐊

They say that you should leave your tree 🌲 up until after the start of the new year, because it will be bad luck in the new year if you don’t. I would also install a light over the bathtub if you haven’t so it is not so dark while showering.

Happy New Year! Amazing job putting up the ship lap. Just one question, is the ship lap MDF or pine? Thanks and look forward to much more content.

State of the art will also have music and two way intercom as well as ability to answer phone calls. All lights in my bathroom are voice activated & dimmable as well. Every bedroom & bathroom in my home has an Alexa (10).

1/6 is when we did ours growing up and I did the same when my kids were coming up...In the Christian religion, the Christmas season ends on The Feast of Epiphany, which is celebrated on January 6. This marks the date when the Three Kings arrived to bring gifts to baby Jesus, and reportedly dictates the best time to take down your holiday decorations.

Hey Y'all, our family always leave the Christmas decorations up until the 2nd of January before we start taking (most) of the decorations down. I will reluctantly admit to leaving the outdoor lights up the year around!!!.... just for the ambiance, don't you know!!!.... Sincerely, you friend, the old Montana cowboy

Christmas Tree I like to keep up either to Jan 1 or Epiphany (Jan 7, 2024). But hey, there are folks that leave it up year round.
