That is the coolest way to hang a shower curtain I have ever seen, and it looks great. Awesome job you two. Don't feel bad about putting the plywood on before you nailed the frame to the wall, that is totally something I would probably have done also. Cool idea for the shower curtain. I am curious on how well the liquid nails is gonna hold up on that wall. I am hoping with the additional shelves that it will still be able to support that. My heart sunk when you dropped the pipe on that beautiful tile job you had just finished. Good thing it only chipped a small piece that will be covered. Have a great week!

When you go to do the venting for the fan... you mentioned running a trunk line for another room's fan... don't do what the builders did in our house that I had to fix. Run separate vent lines to the outside. Nothing is worse than when someone showers in one bathroom and the other gets all humid and steamy. Dampers can help, or in-line fans that pull all air past the split/merge, but ultimately, a separate vent is ideal. And be sure to put a pest screen on the outside vent. Birds and critters can lift the louvers and flaps and make nests in the vent lines. Having a screen behind the louvers or a cage over them will stop that mess. We had birds in our dryer vent and 2 in our shower vents before I got that all sorted. Sheesh!
If you tie in the two vents wouldn’t you just dump the furthest one into the closest one to outside vent? Not sure just a thought. That flatulence could be a dangerous thing 😂

I did the same in my house but use stainless steel pipe and polished it then just clear coated as I was worried that if I painted it and used it would scratch off the paint.

We haven’t hooked it up to the venting system yet so we just opened the window.

Jim, hope the paint doesn’t flake off the galvanized pipe. You usually have to wipe it down with white vinegar and use an etching primer.

Clamps on for 24 hours. I would also have recommended a couple reverse clamps pushing to the wall unless you screwed to the stud at an angle.
