In the comics when Jean sacrificed herself, the Phoenix created a cosmic clone of her to do the Dark Phoenix while the real Jean was in a cocoon created by the Phoenix to rest & heal her body. I know that sounds completely far-fetched (& trust me it is 100%) but that's comics for ya.

What I love about the "neutral" phoenix force is how selective its work is. It should have enough power to erase virtually all those threatening it, but doesn't do that here. Instead, it chooses very specific solutions, undoing only what is no longer necessary. There's such beauty to an unimaginably powerful entity making carefully considered choices. Great power and even greater responsibility.
Is there anything more satisfying than seeing a sociopathic monster beg for the mercy he never showed anyone else? The moments where revenge and justice overlap are some of the best storytelling.
It's like history repeating itself. Jean Grey becomes the phoenix force and then ends up in the bottom of the lake. Nice. I hope spider-man will finally find Mary Jane .
Except Phoenix Force fire isn't the typical fire that just burns. If you had watched the original series, you would have seen how Jean/Phoenix actually enveloped everyone in Phoenix fire when she teleported or shielded them. In this episode, you can also see that Jean is completely made of Phoenix fire herself while surrounded by water. The water raptor manifestation the and blue aura were used to show that this was Jean in control and manifesting the Phoenix in her own way.
Sinister's reaction was priceless. It's a meme. He is a narcissist and he met the worst fate for his type of person. But I don't love Jean tapping to Phoenix Force again.

What I love about the "neutral" phoenix force is how selective its work is. It should have enough power to erase virtually all those threatening it, but doesn't do that here. Instead, it chooses very specific solutions, undoing only what is no longer necessary. There's such beauty to an unimaginably powerful entity making carefully considered choices. Great power and even greater responsibility.

Except Phoenix Force fire isn't the typical fire that just burns. If you had watched the original series, you would have seen how Jean/Phoenix actually enveloped everyone in Phoenix fire when she teleported or shielded them. In this episode, you can also see that Jean is completely made of Phoenix fire herself while surrounded by water. The water raptor manifestation the and blue aura were used to show that this was Jean in control and manifesting the Phoenix in her own way.
It's based on how she looks in the comics too
