A lot of people who didn't read the comics never truly understood Magneto. He's always kinda been the hero of his own story. Like every hero, there have come points where his desire for vengeance overwhelmed his desire for justice. He's had his moments of going too far, but for the most part he's been in the right. What made him a "villain," more than anything else, was the willingness to do utilize force when words would not suffice.

I love this so much. It’s a powerful thing seeing magneto completely vulnerable and incapable of action, and it’s solely in the face of his own pain. So desperate for healing but fear it’s not possible. Only until Xavier fully sees the depth of his torment can he fully pull him out. Not just pull him out but give Magneto the strength to pull himself out by reminding him of who he is the mutant races greatest advocate and savior.

Whenever I picture Magneto, I picture the man who's strong and powerful. Someone who's sure of what he's saying, a leader by all mater of the word. But seeing him in this scene, afraid and feeling so lost is a reminder that while he's got the will to lead there's a vulnerability to him.
Dude this scene was so powerful. I still think about the Charles and Magneto team up against Trask set up in The Wolverine that was admittedly rushed into Days of Future Past. But that middle movie I was so hyped over! I can’t wait to see the two together, finally, leading the X-Men in S2
Professor X coming in being the X Factor!! I love how Stan Lee made the most powerful mutant a telepath that could not use his legs. It really shows a strong mind is the best thing you can have in life.
Charles isn't an omega level mutant, he's alpha level. While alpha level mutants are nothing to be trifled with, they're not in the same league as omega levels. Charles isn't the most powerful mutant, he's the most powerful telepath, important distinction. Storm, Jean, and Magneto are all omega level mutants above Charles in overall ability. It's just that the nature of Charle's abilities make him a hard counter for 2 out of those 3.

This is my favorite Xavier and Eric scene, Xavier telling him he’d be with him even if they got overtaken and come up together is one of my favorite lines from him of all time. Xavier is such a good fucking character

The belief that someday, people will not care whether someone is a mutant, they will just be another person like them. Xavier always holds out hope that people can find their way again, that they can find redemption, and if he can help in that struggle, he will gladly do so regardless of the risk to himself.
Magneto and Charles are from a different generation, from the 1928 to 45, which is called the silent generation. Back then, men still formed deep bonded friendships and were not stigmatized for it. It's not gay it's how men developed, matured, and learned skills for most of human history. Till recently for the mid to lower class, and you see the results.

Magneto was epic as always but I wish he could've got to keep his Asteroid M up there. I'd of loved to of seen him recruit the mutants like he did in the 90's X-Men TAS Sanctuary episode and have it be peaceful since Cortez wasn't around anymore to screw it up for everybody.
This version of Magneto is better than the movie version. I always thought they nerfed him too much in the movie version. And also they weren't very creative on how he used magnetism like he used it to control metal but magnetism embodies so many different f****** things like Magneto EMPing the whole planet is totally something Magneto can actually do

This scene represents what Patrick Stewart said all those years ago " Just cause someone stumbles and looses there way dosnt mean there lost forever. Sometimes we all need a little help." I believe that's wht this scene is representing not Gay crap. I know Disney has a history of trying push an agenda but this show didn't really have much of it. Am grateful it was focused on story, character development and epic music. Side not they did Gambit dirty bro deserved better. Also Rogue took away her🍑
Magneto and Xavier relationship was always respect for one another, no matter what they did, even though it is flawed as you just saw Wolverine almost dying at the hand of Magneto. The comics definitely did Fatal Attractions better because Xavier is more realistic, he is ready to end Magneto's life to save countless others. In the show you can rather agree with Bastion that Xavier is willing to let the dream of a peaceful coexistence die because of him being naive. But that Xavier is also the one who just saw a little girl dying for several days and he could do nothing about it. This one's more hopeful.
This show did not live up the hype. It had some good scenes, but lots of lackluster scenes too with poor character ark development, one dimensional and flanderized characters, and rushed pacing. The 90’s show has way more substance from the X-men universe.
