Thanks they sounded good without an amp im just in the prosses of fitting ALPINE SXE-1750S 6.5" in the rear and Alpine SXE-1725S 6.5" in the front, with a pioneer 50w per channel head unit, they should sound good !
I've seen these on ebay for around 80 dollars which is odd considering how much they sell for else where. I got mine at best buy for $129 on sale and I had some discounts so they were $100 for me. Your price I'd say is pretty good. Enjoy them!
Got a set of Open Box For $52.00 the box had a rip in it. other than that brand new un-used. swapped the tweeters for type-r for $35.00 from malaysia. happy hunting
Any ideas how these compare to other speakers like alpine type r or Hertz Audio DSK 165.3 I looking to replace my stock speakers from Corsa C . I would be thankful for your help
im thinkin on putting the tweeters in the same place where you have them can you give me some advice on how to do it ?? what do i have to use and what do i need and is the clearance good behind the plastic pannel and the door panel and the tweeter ?? thanx
The best way to do this is to use a drill with a circular saw drill bit (I think it's 1 inch but I'd double check). I suggest removing the door panel as well. There is enough room behind to place the tweeter flush and run the wire.
I use a carbon hole saw set from ace hardware. Connect it to a drill with a good rpm at less 750 and up. Because I use a 600 rpm it did the job put take longer.
amazing speakers for a stock replacement but they do not cost $100, at visions they are $350, somic electronix has a sale for $159 so i'm picking up a set for my integra
I am installing the same speakers in my Smart car, but am not knowledgeable about the wiring connections. Where does the crossover get installed? Is it between the woofer and the tweeter, or does it get installed between the stereo and the woofer? Thank you.
I'm pretty sure the factory wires get connected to the crossovers, then from there they go out to the tweeter and woofer. Double checking the manual might help as well.
If you can fit 1" MDF for your speakers to mount on you won't know ya self trust me, I'm doing the same thing but using stock head unit and it creams my mates setup and he runs 4x mb quarts with amp, and I only run 2x 6.5 comp
Not true. I ran type r mids and blew them, didn't wanna spend the money again so bought s type and i beat the shit out of them daily for 2 years now! Clear and loud on 100watt rms. Weird huh.. 🤷🏻♂️
dont amp it..you'll blow the tweets..returned twiced and my new set is still sitting in the closet waiting to be used..these are far yet the best sounding component set up i have seen so far for its price range....type r's are over rated...even the type e's sound good
I used an alpine power pack running at 45x4 rms that just hooks up to the radio wire harness and it does help at higher volume to improve clarity but I haven't done much else after that. Bass heavy music will cause clipping but I mostly listen to rock.
don't amp it? why not if they're rated at 110 rms each? I have mine getting pushed by a hifonics zues at 125w rms a channel! and it's awesome! with the gains turned up about 60%
ekim andersom a couple years late but no its not its actually the other way around. To much power will burn or blow the speakers too little power would only dmg the headunit or whaterver your tryin to power itby stresing it and speacially if you push the gain.Think of it this way they is no way your goin to clip it when is greatly underpower unles you didnt set the crosover correctly.
This vid is silly. You don't even know what HU you have. And the sound is no better than what my OEM system sounds like in my '03 rav4--underpowered, crappy sound quality, muffled sound. What a waste of money
10 years later I still have this set up in my civic without any issues. Added an Element and Model 3 to the family since then.
How did you mount it on your door?
best mic ever
i just bought these speakers. will be installing them tomorrow on a 4 ch amp! thanks for the video, it gives me a good idea what to expect
Wow! Window cranks! Don't remember the last time I saw a set of those! Great vid BTW!
I swapped them to automatic with a kit from ebay haha
Thanks they sounded good without an amp im just in the prosses of fitting ALPINE SXE-1750S 6.5" in the rear and Alpine SXE-1725S 6.5" in the front, with a pioneer 50w per channel head unit, they should sound good !
These sound really good, i'm putting a set in my drift car.
just replaced my set up with type s 6x9 and type s 6.5s . Absolutely love them. powered by a Rockford fosgate r400.
midbass aint bad at all you can actually hear the bass guitar vibrations in the song.
Sounds great on my .5" laptop speakers lmfao
Do you think these would be loud enough to put on a motorcycle with a good amp?
sounds great.

these sound really good! what head unit are you running? and any amp to power them?
Any ideas how these compare to other speakers like alpine type r or Hertz Audio DSK 165.3 I looking to replace my stock speakers from Corsa C . I would be thankful for your help
Both of those are even better than these.
Nice. Have the same cd player. Thanks for the video.

ok thank how did yo mamage to keep them in place ??
floridaboys13 There is a piece that holds it in place behind the door.
like a metal thing .. can i just super glue that lol
you can but then youll have to cut it out
Is there any subwoofer or is the bass all coming from door speakers
Hey mate do you know the exact model number of these speakers? Thanks
SPS 610C
Jango Bango Awesome, thanks mate, and to be sure theres no subwoofers in the back of your car or anything? Just the 610c's?
At the time I only had these and Alpine type S 6x9 in the car.
Give them 80W RMS each and you are good to go. Ps. Don't forget to sound deadening the doors, is very important.
How did you cut the holes for the tweeters? i'm about to do this on my 2000 honda civic sedan
I use a carbon hole saw set from ace hardware. Connect it to a drill with a good rpm at less 750 and up. Because I use a 600 rpm it did the job put take longer.

Are the tubes directional?
Nice car there and nice sounds too....what's the title of the song that u used for your test?
Safe and Sound - Capital Cities

Thank you
Think I’m gonna whack a set of these in the front of my outlander just need to decide on a good set of coaxials for the rear
How good is the bass for the S-S65C?
Mid bass is tight but light on low end
If you can fit 1" MDF for your speakers to mount on you won't know ya self trust me, I'm doing the same thing but using stock head unit and it creams my mates setup and he runs 4x mb quarts with amp, and I only run 2x 6.5 comp
you have components in the rear and front
Song name??
darrude sandstorm
Sweet!
Nice video...
Bass i love you Xd
Get a dsp.
Type R or nothing...

i have a 4 channel Rockford on mine. They sound amazing. The amp is 75x4.
I have a JL Audio 300/4 pushing mine @ 75w per channel. Sounds pretty badass

They're hooked up to an Alpine KTP-445U Power Pack, currently on head Kenwood KDC-x998. This video is so old lol
You're really comparing cheap ass oem speakers to Alpine aftermarket? You sound dumb af.
Bass i love you Xd
