To start with nice looking truck guys look at the A/C vents and so on they are cool and you installing the sound system was totally nice seeing someone do a professional good you rock.... 💯👍🏼
Good stuff. Love your tool reviews especially when you,re looking out for affordable quality tools like tekton. Keep it up you're really helping me out in starting my new hobby of modifying my car to look better, go faster, and last much longer. thanks
I'm considering using tin snips for making a door hole bigger in my 1994 Bronco. How thick can the metal be for the tin snips? I'm afraid the door sheet metal would be too thick. Thanks!
IDK if it was the tin-snips I was using but they would not cut through my door, so I had to use a death wheel😑 now I got to figure out how to round the edges
Great job on the installation of the speckers But you didn't say, show or explain how you protected the wires coming out of the door jambs and entering the doors themselves. Could you please show how you protected the wires between the jambs and the doors and what you used to do this.
What was used for that grey putty like material to cover the door holes. So far, no one explains that & using the original wire pass thru on my 2014 mustang involves many difficulties so cutting a new how is way easier. But what to use to seal the hole. Not found ruber grommets so far.
The speakers I used are made of plastic and rubber.. So water/rain will not damage them... The only speaker type you don't want to put into doors are ones that are made of foam and paper..
What material did you use for routing the speaker wires between the door/door-holes and the cab of the truck (the door jam)? What material is covering the holes? Seen at 3:05.
Thank you. But it looks like there's grey putty a suction cup over the door holes. What is that stuff? I need something similar to cover holes I will have to make and keep water out. Thoughts?
Good question!... Many times I take some stuff out of my videos because some say they are too long.. So I try to focus on what I think people need the most help with..
@@doityourselfbri yes, so far, no one has ever shown sealing those holes with putty or grommets. would you suggest drilling a seperate hole in my 2014 mustang or trying to get new wires thru the original oem pass thru. that pass thru seems very crowded. oem's most often use very thin 18 to 22 gauge speaker wire .Would you go with 12 gauge new wire or use the thin oem wire? many suggest the sound would be not noticeably different, 18 or 12 gauge, although in home stereo thicker wire w less resistance is always better thicker wires, less resistance, loose less power from my jl audio 500/5 75 watt amp but I doubt the speakers are power starved.
That is a concern for people who care more about keeping their vehicle factory looking than they do about the sound system in their car. Never been a concern of mine.
@@seananon4893upgrade??? LMAO!!! what are you smoking??? give me some... there are so many options now a days that do not require you to cut and DESTROY your door panels... but then again... you said upgrade so I wouldn't expect you to really know anything about rides.. you probably think stick on hood scoops from AutoZone are an upgrade also 😂😂😂
2:00 You found tin snips easier? Looks like you were struggling a bit to me...
Very simple and clear guidance. Great vid!
The install looks great.
On a side note loose the wasp nest around the 3 minute mark.
+Shawn Patton Lol I was wondering if anyone was going to pick up on that...

Everything after 4:14 LMAO
hella buzz kill lol
Amazing how diamond audio speakers come with polk audio grills lol
Did you install any sound damping or just the speaker install?

Nice Job Brian!
Thanks!
My question is, how do you set the gains on the amp? Im really curious on how to set this kind of speakers up. Awesome job BTW!
Can you explain the speaker wire rerouting for a 4-channel amplifier?
Underneath the carpet amp. Must have a low load to stay cool enough to function.
Nice video , but how you are going to waterproof the speaker in case of rains.
Bryce Ramsey ?

Do It Yourself Bri ok thanks
Rain won’t get inside that door. It’s a Chevy, not a Lada.

A hanger to push wire thru, and split loom over wire.

no spacers?may i ask is there any significance?
Can't believe you cut those doors.
You better believe it
So.... Why skip showing running the wire out the door and sealing it?

How to you get over cutting perfectly good doors
That is a concern for people who care more about keeping their vehicle factory looking than they do about the sound system in their car. Never been a concern of mine.
my speakers are to thick for my doors!
Alexander p look up shallow mount speakers
Or get spacers!!! They will look great.
wow
Please don't cut a classic car door !!
He did an upgrade. It’s not like he ruined it.
@@seananon4893 he could have used some kick panels, instead of hacking the doors up.
( and it would have sounded better anyway)
