I’m dying that Sandra is probably the best interviewer of Bill Maher ever- a NANNY!!!!!!!!! WHAT?????!!!!!! Never in a million years would I have ever guessed Bill worked as an au pair! 😂🤣😂 This was so much fun and I was excited to see this pair together after decades of friendship. I remember them from when I was a kid in the 80’s. Great Club Random sesh- one of my faves! Love Sandra!

he has talked about that girl before and another he dated many years ago. He doesn't like to mention names. When Adrianna talked about the "science gal" Cara Santa Maria, he got "I'm not going there". They were cute, she was so smart, smartest of the models etc he dates. Happens a lot on Cub Radom; Bill's such a raging narcissist, I always end up learning more about him. He's pedantic, he's pompous, and though I wouldn't use the term self-deprecating-he's always kidding when he says anything negative about himself, he does seem to be aware of the fact. He's mentioned several times how he thinks he'd be perfect for the role of Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady...and he's probably right.

The only 2 shows that I could not watch all the way through were Boy George (because he´s an efffing crazy pillhead) and Burr (a phoney who drones on and on, ad nauseum, about how he loves his wife and kids and actually thinks it´s amusing to adults for a comedian to talk in ¨funny voices¨). I have it on good knowledge, that a man who truly loves his family does not mention it at every possible opportunity.

Interesting to find out from this video that Bill is Irish and Jewish; that Bill was an au pair for a rich NYC couple’s 3 kids; that Sandra’s dad is 100 years old and was beastly towards her, her mom and 2 brothers when they were kids (and is still estranged from them), and that Sandra tried to patch things up with him (but to no avail)…

Under pressure if she does cave in, she knows that she compromised her values because she was caught between a rock and a hard place. She usually walks away from the masses of asses even if they are powerful. I'm so glad that she talked about her father and family. I’m 70 and love comedy. So glad I grew up in the era that I did. And glad I’m on this side of my life and not just starting out.
You’re right about “Giant”. First time I watched it I was younger and thought it was good. Saw it recently and thought it was so long and boring. Sandra is right about the make-up. Terrible!
    I enjoyed this podcast.

I've also read that laughter is great for bonding. It was an article on laughter, and it said that there are many times when we laugh, not because something is funny, but because it's a spontaneous bonding gesture with the person(s) with whom we are talking. "Laughter is a powerful tool for strengthening social bonds. It may have evolved to facilitate bonding across large groups of people1. Laughter releases chemicals that help build social bonds, and triggers the release of endorphins in brain regions responsible for arousal and emotion. When we laugh with one another, a positive bond is created, which acts as a strong buffer against stress, disagreements, and disappointment." (Psychology Today.) Others may already know this, but it's not something I really thought about till I saw this article. It is, however, something I have always felt...

Nothing in the original comment said anything at all about hate. Bad enough without the "so much" but you went ahead and made an already terrible comment even worse. You sound like a fuuuucking child. An ex of mine did this constantly, took something I said and misconstrued, exaggerated and otherwise got it completely wrong, then tried to say it back to me like you did here.
