Thank you! I’m fairly new to growing orchids and my main problem is root rot. I’m still learning about which media is best for my environment for various species. I am learning from the mistakes I made, but it’s not been easy regrowing new roots. Adding to the problem is that I travel frequently for work. I found out the hard way that it was best to leave them alone rather than expect an inexperienced sitter to take care of the orchids. I now have some under grow lights, and some under grow lights with heating pads.

yes the only real way to learn is to see what works for you in your environment with the time you have available to care for them .
