@@archieomwhite9147 How very kind of you to come back to me and I do hope that you manage not to fall by the wayside as you move forward from such young success. I once had to go to the aid of a former Kings Chorister who'd got a scholarship to Eton then went to Peterhouse and almost lost it at the age of 23. I myself became of some note in the pop music business whilst in my teens and burnt out on excesses by 25. It was an hard journey but I made it with "a little help from my friends; lads I'd gone to school with, all in down to earth jobs or on the dole but still there for me when I needed someone more personal to me than family. You shouldn't feel humbled by a sincere compliment: just feel proud that your youth and talent were and perhaps still are, capable of bringing joy to someone who was once something but is now past his prime. Never feel reluctant or ashamed to lean on an offered shoulder when you feel fragile and uncertain!! That's what friends, old and new, want to give to you. Something in return!! OK? This is very thoughtful of you and good advice. I am actually not successful at all, which might help me in some ways. I just love music and singing is very important to me. I don't know where it will all go when my treble voice leaves me, as I do not have another usable voice, yet (I have some baritone notes but no tonal quality there). I am hoping to apply for a choral or organ scholarship at university, having so much enjoyed my chorister experience. I would like to have more opportunities to sing but they are hard to come by and I am not at all good at social media, which I find very uncomfortable. My singing teacher is very supportive and it is she who encourages me to put things on UA-cam, but they are almost all informal phone recordings. I have, however, been surprised by the engagement that has been possible through doing this and the kindness and support which is out there. I have also learned many things, through some of the comments. What sort of music did you make? Can I find any of it to listen to?

I watch this clip from time to time, not only for the wonderful voice of that boy, but to remember my own treble voice as a boy chorister. I think it's a great shame that boys are not taught the joy of using their treble voice. So much wonderful music. Such a short window if time to use it's full potential.

@@archieomwhite9147 The joy of singing lasts for a whole lifetime. A fact of life is that we cannot always have what we would wish for. My comfortable singing range is in the lower register. I would have loved to be able to sing those wonderful tenor parts. However, we can all strive for the best we can be.
@@tomarmstrong1281 The vocal tradition still seems to be alive in the UK. In the US years ago back in my day most private schools were all boy or girl and thus were their choirs. Now, except for some girls schools and a very few boys ones they've all gone coed. So the choral tradition in which boys learned to use their voices in that brief period is also going. Not that I was a soloist or had anything like Archie's voice but I have a pretty good idea how much work went into developing it.
Oh that is just sublimely beautiful. Allegri's Miserere and a very fine boy treble - pure perfection.

@@archieomwhite9147 My pleasure, believe me. I was a treble in my school choir. I loved it and now listening to a fine treble like Archie brings that joy back to me. I only wish I'd got to sing the Miserere back then. Lucky Archie.

Yes, this was a tiny glimpse of the rehearsal for that service.

Thank you! This video was a while ago now, when I was still singing in the choir,. I am glad you saw Max's videos, too, including the one when we were singing together at a small recital. We really enjoyed it so I am glad that you did, too.

Алед Джонс- король англо-саксонских boy soprano (мощные верхние ноты без вибрато). Арчи поёт в европейском континентальном стиле (с вибрато и украшениями).

This is the only little bit that was recorded. It is the only record of my time in the choir of Magdalen College. I do have a little bit of informal audio, though.
Best part: the confident hair flick at the end. LOL
This made me laugh, as Archie does not have a reputation for his high levels of confidence! He does have a reputation for a rapidly growing forelock, however ....

Malheureusement non. Tout a été filmé mais l'audio a apparemment échoué, alors j'ai juste ce petit extrait. Il peut y avoir un enregistrement audio de telle ou telle interprétation de la même pièce quelque part.

I am not sure that I understand this question. If you mean the channel title, then that is my name (Archie White) followed by music, which describes the content. If you mean something else, maybe you would explain and I will do my best to answer you. However, I don't know of any genre named 'white music'. Thank you for visiting the channel.
