To me, Archie has nailed it. The beauty of the accomplished treble chorister before it all changes forever. Thank you, Archie.
Thank YOU so much!
I love his very pure and natural voice. The classic treble sound.
Thank you for being so supportive.
I used to sing this as a chorister at my local church many years ago, beautiful piece
Do you like Chinese music? Fauré imitates traditional Chinese music. This is unbearable for the European ear.
I can listen to it only thanks to the performer- the world's prime boy soprano Archie White.
I sang it when I was in Magdalen College Choir but not as a soloist. This is the only time I sang it as a solo. Where were you a chorister?
Archie White, the owner of a voice unique in beauty and super purity, has been the best boy soprano in the world since 2021.
God save Archie!
You are so very, very kind! Thank you!
It is not for man to judge but for angels to applaud holy music such as this.

Archie shows us the perfection in God's creation. Just absolutely perfect in each and every aspect.
Yes!
I feel humbled by your generous comments. Thank you for your kindness.
This is stunning. What a beautiful voice made for Faure requiem. Be blessed and continue singing to God. Wow!
Thank you so much!
Beautiful !
Thank you very much!
When I die, Archie, I want your beautiful rendition of Faure's requiem played at my funeral. X
God works in mysterious ways. It's dark-haired Gabriel. No one knows what he looks like.
I wish you a vey long and happy life!
@ARCHIE beautiful ❤well done. I enjoyed this and most importantly bringing us all closer to God! I hope you continue singing and sharing your gift.
This is very kind of you. Thank you.
I am not at all into lithurgical music but this gives me chills. What a beautiful voice you have, Archie!🤝
Thank you. That means a lot to me. I won't have this voice for long, though.
@@archieomwhite9147 Adulthood kicking in! But i’m sure you’ll keep a beautiful (though lower) voice. We will keep hearing from you.
Magnifique interprétation. Bravo.
Thank you for your generous words!
Very beautiful singing, Archie! Thoroughly enjoyable to listen to, thank you.
Thank you very much!
A sensitive and beautiful rendition.
Thank you so much for saying this and apologies for not seeing your comment until now.
Tout simplement magnifique.
Thank you very much.
Thanks for helping me for school singing lessons
Your the only person I can hear properly
This has made me really happy! Thank you.
Lovely light vibrato in just the right places, and a ridiculous amount of practice, memorization, and rehearsal. Thank you for a beautiful moment in the middle of a demanding day.
Thank you so much! I know there is still much to learn.
Thank you!
Great singing.
Thank you so much.
vraiment la plus belle interprétation - quelle pureté !

Wow! Good job!!! 😃 Very well done!
He makes me cry every time I heard his voice on this song ❤ good bb
I use for praying 😂
Danke für den schönen Beitrag.
Thank you for your kind comment (with apologies for the delay!)
I know this but to a different tune. Very beautiful indeed, Perfect Archie.
Very many thanks! You may be referring to the Lloyd-Webber setting, which is often sung by trebles.
@@archieomwhite9147 Thank You Archie from Australia.
it’s awesomely epic! sooo good and this song is so sweet and one of my favorites!
so amazing! 👏
Thank you so much. It is very kind of you to say this.
you are exceptional! even the new videos with the different voice are magnificent, music always of a very high standard @@archieomwhite9147
Thank you. You made my night full of peace.
Thank you. That is a lovely thing to say.
maravillosa interpretación. Gracias
@@Alexander_Goosev No coincido.

Beautiful. Thank you. Subscribed.
innocent voice + innocent looks = angelic presence 😇
How voice can be innocent? :)
@@Allilya Hahaha I do not know either. If that does not make sense, my apologies...
Thank you!
Great
Thank you!
A few years gone, anyone know why there were faults?
More than 11 000 views since March 2021 ? "Wow!...:)
Thank you! It is quite a surprise.
Nobody was still better...
That is very generous of you.
This is wonderful. But there has been no news on Archie's Baroque project for over two months. A brief update at indiegogo would be greatly appreciated. Hoping all is well.
I am sorry for not keeping you in touch with progress. We are getting close and the master is ready, pending some small administrative details. I will be able to send out a download, as soon as I have the finalised tracks. I have posted on Indiegogo and will keep everybody informed with the timescale. I will shortly upload one of the tracks (pre master) to Indiegogo.
@@archieomwhite9147 It's one month later: there have been no promised posts to Indiegogo, and no pre-mastered tracks are anywhere to be found.
If the project has collapsed, please have the dignity to admit it to your sponsors.
@@erichgroat838 The CD is ready to go to pressing and a website for sponsors is being set up to release the tracks, which are now ready. I will update Indiegogo today, with apologies.
@@archieomwhite9147 Wonderful news! Thank you.

So beautiful but try not look so so sad Jesus gives us rest Always - it is a beautiful message - find peace in that "Dear Jesus, give us everlasting peace"
He's not sad. He's shy and a bit nervous at a competition. He will grow more polished presentationwise if he continues as a soloist. He certainly has the voice.
Actually one of the reasons he creates such a beautiful sound is because his mouth is relaxed.
Thank you for this. I did feel the sadness of loss when I sang this but I understand what you mean and it does make a difference to how I think about it.
I am working on my presentation and realise now that I am not just singing for myself.
I have a great deal still to work on technically but this is very helpful to hear. Thank you. I know that my replies on this thread are two years late but I was new to this side of things when I started the channel so I am working on that, too!
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. Yes, it was very slow! I will know for next time.
Archie has a beautiful treble voice, and wonderful musicality, but the organ registration here is much, much too heavy and is distracting. It intrudes onto the peaceful mood of this piece. Love listening to Archie, tho'.
Thank you so much for commenting so kindly.
@@archieomwhite9147 _haha_ ... *yes*
Archie, you have such a beautiful, pure treble voice, and this is my favorite Pie Jesu version - Fauré. I've just subscribed and I've been reading the many comments here. If you get the time, take a listen to my Christmas playlist on my channel, particularly "O Holy Night." I'm mainly a baritone voice. Please continue singing and developing your beautiful voice as it changes, I'm sure you'll discover an awesome adult voice! 🎵🎶🎤
Thank you! I will listen to your playlist now.
Archie do you sing in Libera? Very beautiful voice how old are you now?
No, not in Libera. I used to sing in the choir of Magdalen College, Oxford but now just sing when I have the opportunity. I have regular singing lessons, though, with Maria Thompson.
So sensitively sung.I wonder what he's doing now?
ua-cam.com/video/xqr8381WttQ/v-deo.html
Thank you so much! Still singing but a lot taller...
@@archieomwhite9147 Yes! Like Cai, who is very tall, now, and enjoying his baritone development! Keep going,Archie!xxxx
pure natrunal
Thank you!
Good effort though a bit nervous, probably due to a competition. Does he sing in another choir now?
Thank you. He now sings solos and in small ensembles.
I agree beautiful performance but a bit intimidating i’d imagine with those judges on those ridiculous thrones: they have dumbed down the format there for sure :/
Tu as quel âge ?
I am fifteen years old now. I was 13 or just 14 then.
That was beautiful, where can I get your CD?
Thank you so much. I am having difficulty with replying to emails through the website but have received your message. If you could send your email address via the website, I will reply to you asap.
Thank you for your email. I have tried replying but it isn't working. Please would you send another email, writing down your email address, as it is not showing it from the email. Many thanks.
👍💫😌👍
Yes treble sounds better with piano or haprpscord
normally I clearly hear when an instrument disturbs, or is predominant,
but the organ here did not disturb.
Oh my darling grandson, loved from the second you were born, when I held you 2 minutes after you were scooped up from the birthing pool. How could you do this to your Grandma who has always been there for you?
I am not sure if this was meant for me?
Usually sung by a female soprano ..but nothing sounds quite like a young males voice singing this..
Thank you! I have enjoyed your piano videos, too.
Shame on the audio mixer. Much, much to much organ. Lovely classic boy treble. Well done Archie. Nice control.
Thank-you. I hadn't thought of that. It was recorded live and I don't know whether there would have been mixing? I will listen to my own audio recording for reference. Really interesting.
@@archieomwhite9147 it depends on where the microphone was...
Anyhow,
the views here are all subjective, including mine.
I would maintain that some people are selfish in what THEY WANT TO HEAR,
so they do not recognize how fine the organ actually supported Archie.
.
your opinion is interesting (you did not remark anything, as did I)
*Archie's opinion would be actually the most interesting,*
_and not those opinions of externals with their wishes and expectations._
@@influencer8757 To be honest, Archie felt supported. This was his first public performance. He was not close to the organist and had lights in his eyes, so he was dealing with many unfamiliar things. He had only met the organist that day, so there was little opportunity to develop an artistic relationship. He certainly felt he was in safe hands and was being sensitively accompanied. Microphone placement may have some relevance but I think the most challenging thing was tempo, as communication was difficult in that setting. This resulted in the performance being slow, which meant Archie needed a lot of air!
@@archieomwhite9147 I totally agree with you. The organist was great, he is a great master. The slow tempo was only good. Archie showed some class, his gentle vibrato was absolutely irresistible. I haven't seen so many praiseworthy reviews from boy soprano experts since Aksel Rykkvin. Archie declassed this jury. You could file a protest with the BBC (😀).
вау
Thank you.
I am sorry but I do not think ti was that good. He breathed where he shouldn't have and some of the end notes were cut short. Perhaps he was nervous. Perhaps he chose the wrong piece.
Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to write this. I am always hoping to learn more. Perhaps you could say specifically where you thought the breathing was inappropriate and which notes were too short? Many thanks
Of course, Archie is worried and admits technical blots. But even with this excitement, the extraordinary beauty, strength and purity of his voice is clearly audible. How could you not hear that? At the moment there is no more talented and bright boy soprano soloist.
You can listen to his other great recordings (in a more relaxed atmosphere) on this UA-cam channel.
@@Alexander_Goosev There is no such thing as a boy soprano... a soprano is a woman. as for trebles, their opportunity to shine is so short-lived but he is one of quite a few..........
@@outlookesp It is very annoying to read such superficial comments of a listener without a musical education and a developed musical ear in relation to this outstanding boy soprano soloist.
You might want to read the Wikipedia article "The Boy Soprano" before making your confident remarks. English-speaking musicians, as a rule, use the term "boy soprano".
The boy soprano is the purest of all human voices. The best boy soprano soloists surpass all the best female sopranos in the purity of timbre without exception. It is for this reason that the art of boy soprano singing exists (despite the technical shortcomings associated with young age). And this is the most important reason in classical music.
@@Alexander_Goosev I am a native English classically trained musician and know what I am talking about. A boy singer is not a soprano but a treble. English-speaking musicians, as a rule, do not use the term "boy soprano", only the musically uneducated. However you are right i n saying that is the purest of all human voices. The best boy treble soloists surpass all the best female sopranos in the purity of timbre without exception. It is for this reason that the art of treble singing exists (despite the technical shortcomings associated with young age). And this is the most important reason in classical music.. I would add thought that Andrea Haines of Voces8 comes close to it.....
