    You need to get portable cement road brocades to put behind pile of wood and load wood push toward that to keep from spreading out pile when using bucket for loading up

    M&M I really like the videos. Been watching for about 8 months now and I am a subscriber. Always good seeing Hunter. The great thing about the firewood bucket is that if you pick up some gravel or dirt with the firewood you just have to shake the bucket a bit and it will fall out! Great addition to your inventory!

    Also loved your comment on the "perfect day"! I could not agree more. Many moons ago, my brother and I had a firewood business when we were in college. During winter/Christmas break, we would get up early, cut and stack for a while and then hit an all you can eat breakfast buffet. We ate like it was our last meal! The cook came out and wanted to meet us in person! Awesome calorie burner.....splitting and stacking wood all day!

    Nice bucket. Looks like it would work great for removing medium sized rocks if you need to and the grapple for larger rocks. I owned a medium sized landscaping company in Tampa Bay for twenty years and have had at least a dozen trailers. Your trailer looks like a very nice trailer. Good job.Plus I love the new dump trailer. They didn't used to make the gates with the ability to tailgate like yours, such a nice feature. I know how you feel about people's great ideas, they think about it for one minute and think they know more than you, even though your out there doing the work and spending numerous hours thinking about every angle and the pros and cons. Unbelievable, but that's people! Great Job, Great Family, Great Channel!

    I like the Fire wood Bucket..a friend of mine built one about the same, used it for a year or so but now he cuts and stacks in long rows, pulls the log splitter up 10 ft. at a time and stacks the wood right next to the splitter, 2 or 3 rows wide and 4 ft. high, people come in and buy and load their own firewood, but he uses the Firewood Bucket for loading his dump trailer, what every work for you do it, his boys 3 of them do the stacking. enjoy the day M& M and keep up the good work.

    Wow, that bucket works great! My perfect day is when a power saw that's been taking a 40 or 50-year nap, after minor maintenance coughs to life and says, "Nice nap, now let's get to work!" :P Shout out to Buckin's friend in Nanaimo, "Steve's Small Engine Saloon" here on YT that has taught me much and saved me thousands by avoiding unnecessary dealer visits.

    I watched the whole thing with a smile. What a cool setup you have now. You are so efficient now you could consider one of those semi truck load of logs. Cost about $30 a facecord. Might also help you get a multi year supply on hand so you can be drying an extra year ahead of time to get the recommended 2 year dry time.

    That's an awesome bucket for firewood! Mike, you hit the nail right square on the head. The hardest thing is getting it out of a big pile and put it in another mode of transport to take it to wherever you want to stack it. You have eliminated a lot of backbreaking labor with that tool. Clay from way down in So. Texas ya'll. Concerning the conveying of green are not seasoned fire wood into your dump trailer you have explained reasons not to use it that way! If you were to conveyer all of your fire wood into you dump trailer it would suffer many blows that would probably dent the trailer floor and prevent it from dumping cleanly. Just my two cents! The fire wood bucket/fork will have uses besides firewood I'm sure you will discover them as you use it. God Bless

  • @lorenfassett3965
    @lorenfassett3965 5 років тому

    Not being critical, but you will find that the bucket will make a lot of small pieces of bark that will end up in the trailer, rather than falling thru the slots of the bucket., especially with seasoned wood where the bark has loosened from the core of the blocks. Bark also makes up a pretty good part of the volume of a cord of firewood when stacked green. A 4ft high pile of green split wood will also become a couple of inches shorter after seasoning . That perfect cord wood stack of green wood isn't so perfect a year after it was stacked. -----------Loren

    What's interesting is different places do different things and that's okay. I don't think people would suggested 50 trailers. However people around here buy wood the same year as its cut. I can relate meaning it doesn't hit the ground until it's delivered to the customer. They are set up to burn the previous years wood and the fresh cut is just sitting at there home not ours. The reason is anticipating a lower cost this year per cord as a rise in cost may occur . Some people in the business may have large volumes of customers and sell a few hundred cord and don't have a lager area to handle/store it to sell as seasoned. I love the tote thing and works excellent for some but not all. Every customer we all service has different requirements and applications. So I think it's fair to say others including myself suggested into the dump trailer off the belt as that how we droit to create less work. We all just do it a bit different. We may drop it, junk it, split it ,and deliver it in the same day. We all do our best to fill the order and fill the need. They specialty clean split business is great but it's a segment not the majority customer around these parts.

    Here is Virginia, we've had Sheetz gas stations for many years. When I have to travel to Baltimore (which has been too frequent lately) I stop at Sheetz in Winchester VA.
    My favorite restaurant was closed the last trip, so it was a double fuel stop of gasoline and a Sheetz meatball sub with fries on it. It beats McDonalds.
    I plan my trips so that I don't have to purchase fuel in either MD or PA due to the high prices, which on average are more than 40 cents per gallon higher than VA.
    Love that Sheetz stations have more than 20 fuel pumps for fast fueling and great prices compared to the big fuel companies.

    I have to admit you seem to be a lot nicer to some of these yammerheads than they deserve. You keep doing it as you see fit.

    In south Texas that would be a rock bucket used to clean up around construction sites with a skid steer

    The new bucket looks like it will serve you well. You keep mentioning it getting darker ealier. May have to invest in some LED lights for the ROPS. Hey Hunter, we may have to start calling you "the flash". Here he is and there he goes.😀

    I use to make a special effort to stop at Sheetz when I lived in North Carolina and would drive to and from home (New York...upstate, not the city). They have the best damn breakfast sandwich in the business.
