I grew up on a farm and if I ever left hitches in the dirt to rust I’d have gotten one large boot applied to where it hurts often ! We had to find a chunk of wood to set it on to keep it clean my “boss” was OCD ! You know ! I can’t imagine where you would find a chunk of wood around there ! Love your family and channel.

To those that give a "Thumbs down", I am really just curious as to why?
Is it the content, the music, you expecting more "how to", or what.
I think the Outdoors with the Morgans is one of the most refreshing, family oriented, channels that are out there!
I admit that I wonder this same thing about most of the UA-cam channels that are out there.
I watch MANY different UA-cam channels of all different variety of fare, and I MAYBE gave three "thumbs down" and it was because it was just a real waste of time and not as advertised.
So again, this is just out of curiousity. Not trying to start anything.
And to the Morgans.......KEEP ON KEEPING ON!
    Have a day!!!

Lonnie, you don't understand why because your brain doesn't work that way. Neither does mine and it took a while to figure it out. Although very few in numbers some people just hate us, most people that way I think are unhappy with their own lives and think by trying to bring others down will somehow bring them happiness. Unfortunately for them it doesn't work that way. Also I have to block certain people, usually a couple a week, most of their comments get held for review and nobody even sees them. Nasty and Rude comments about me, Melissa even Hunter. I just click click and they gone!. They can never comment again but can leave a thumbs down. Whats funny though is clicking on our video and giving it a thumbs down just gets us more views lol

@@OutdoorsWithTheMorgans I was going to ask the same question; why is anyone giving a thumbs down? What in someone's mind would be a reason to dislike a video like this? You sum it about as well as anyone could.

It's actually .2% by views vs thumbs down. That's incredibly good by YT standards. But yeah other than a few weeks there where I was worried they might be selling out (which turned out to be completely unfounded) I'm not sure what's not to like. Something about the videos is relaxing.

Always a pleasure guys... Please, please make the $1.49 investment & put a bail clip through the hitch coupler lever on all your towables & use those safety chains... If your towing on the road, it is an absolute must, but even around my steep property I always, without exception lock down the coupler lever & hook up the safety chains at ALL times... I just always put a trailer hitch ball on my draw bar. I had a 1 7/8 on one side of the bar and a 2” on the other side of center of the bar. That covered most of my trailers. I could also wrap a chain around them and drag wood. A draw bar is indispensable around a farm.

I learned from a rental yard worker that when moving a splitter (like your old one) by hand, it is easier to do if you leave the piston extended. It's more balanced. Do you get any real strong winds around your area? I would think that with the conveyor sticking up in the air might cause some problems in very strong winds. We have been getting some very strong winds here since last night. Some gusts have been hitting 45 mph and have caused my mobile home to rock a little bit. So far, have been pretty lucky in that it hasn't blown down my metal pipe wood stove chimney or caused any other problems. One good thing is that I think the wind has removed the rest of the black walnuts from my 3 trees and I can finish cleaning them all up.
