I grew up on a farm and if I ever left hitches in the dirt to rust I’d have gotten one large boot applied to where it hurts often ! We had to find a chunk of wood to set it on to keep it clean my “boss” was OCD ! You know ! I can’t imagine where you would find a chunk of wood around there ! Love your family and channel.
To those that give a "Thumbs down", I am really just curious as to why? Is it the content, the music, you expecting more "how to", or what. I think the Outdoors with the Morgans is one of the most refreshing, family oriented, channels that are out there! I admit that I wonder this same thing about most of the UA-cam channels that are out there. I watch MANY different UA-cam channels of all different variety of fare, and I MAYBE gave three "thumbs down" and it was because it was just a real waste of time and not as advertised. Although very few in numbers some people just hate us, most people that way I think are unhappy with their own lives and think by trying to bring others down will somehow bring them happiness. Unfortunately for them it doesn't work that way. Also I have to block certain people, usually a couple a week, most of their comments get held for review and nobody even sees them. Nice how you converted Cliff,s place into a renewable energy processing center...I agree 4...snows inevitable but that grass will grow under it..you threaded the needle nicely around those obstacles and I,m sure Melissa will get into the SWING of things once processing begins
Always a pleasure guys... Please, please make the $1.49 investment & put a bail clip through the hitch coupler lever on all your towables & use those safety chains... If your towing on the road, it is an absolute must, but even around my steep property I always, without exception lock down the coupler lever & hook up the safety chains at ALL times... ( the 1/8" hole above the coupler lever is there for a good reason! ) Okay, that's my rant for the day, Bill on the Hill... :~)

I just always put a trailer hitch ball on my draw bar. I had a 1 7/8 on one side of the bar and a 2” on the other side of center of the bar. That covered most of my trailers. I could also wrap a chain around them and drag wood. A draw bar is indispensable around a farm.
Mike with all your attachments you should really look into a quick hitch for The RK 37 & 55 you just throw two levers drop your top link down and you're good to go. Just a suggestion.

Have you ever considered going into the landscape business. You did a great job around the pool house and pool. It's finally gotten cooler here in Alabama, for now. Probably won't last too long, but it's football weather to me.
Sweet well thought out process. Have similar set up myself. Filled 31 cages just like what you have. I have an Outdoor central boiler and go thru 24 to 28 cages a winter, so I always like to have a little cushion with 30 or so.

Mike/Melissa - the tongue on that splitter switches to the back so it can be pulled from the other end. No need to risk fingers wrestling it in position! For your purposes (all off road) you ought to use it from the other end all the time
Don't forget those safety chains, they work on the tractor/RV as well as the truck. I've never had anything come unhooked from the truck but I've had serval things come unhook from the tractor! Don't you love fall!!
I hate to disagree with you Mike, but I would guess 7-9 cords in that pile. I learned from a rental yard worker that when moving a splitter (like your old one) by hand, it is easier to do if you leave the piston extended. It's more balanced. Not sure if that would apply to the larger Wolf Ridge splitter, but it might be worth a try. Melissa: keep being you, you're very funny!

Mike, when you hooked up to the tractor, I thought you might hook up the splitter first, and with another reciever ball, hook the conveyor to the splitter, that way you did it all in one trip. . but then again the conveyor may out weigh the splitter enough to make it go airborn, just an idea. try and see if it works.... I dare ya too
Put a hole in the front bucket of the tractor to put a ball in. It is easier to see and maneuver equipment into place. Don't get hurt wrestling equipment. ✌
Mike can you arrange things so that you can pull the splitter with from the engine side with something, then put a hitch insert in the opposite end, and hook the conveyor to that? Kinda like pulling double trailers? Then things would be oriented how they would need to be for use..

Do you get any real strong winds around your area? I would think that with the conveyor sticking up in the air might cause some problems in very strong winds. We have been getting some very strong winds here since last night. Some gusts have been hitting 45 mph and have caused my mobile home to rock a little bit. So far, have been pretty lucky in that it hasn't blown down my metal pipe wood stove chimney or caused any other problems. One good thing is that I think the wind has removed the rest of the black walnuts from my 3 trees and I can finish cleaning them all up.
I was sincerely hoping for the tripe or even quadruple tow as you were getting set up at the beginning of the video. Given that its fairly close by and on back country roads. Love your vids. You need to put a hitch in the back of the conveyor for the splitter. For short trips it would save time.

Yes you can do that I think, haven't tried it yet but there are receivers at both ends
