A native Gambian lady said it best. "Africa is made up of tribal communities ...until African American diaspora start working together as a tribe, instead of as individuals, life will be extremely hard for them in Africa." You need to be a tribe or join a tribe. 3:45

And that is why Chinese, Arabs, Europeans succeed in Africa- we form our own "tribes" and support each other as communities economically and socially. I'm Irish and that's always how we have succeeded when we've emigrated to the US, Australia, UK etc.

I adore your courage. I was born in Kenya, but immigrated to Germany several years ago. I love Kenya and Africa by extension from the bottom of my heart, but I still find it hard to deal with people back at home, including some family members, but especially the government institutions. It's just frustrating. So I adore how brave you are and how long you have persevered. Thank you and Godspeed na ubarikiwe sana!

I needed to hear this . Even in the U.S. when you relocate to a new State it takes some time for locals to accept you. It's as if they can smell you're new.😂. Acceptance or Not, If you know what you want and keep your head on a swivel, and spend like the local everyday people you will be o.k. Also, a genuine smile and hello can go a long way. Mark you said it right PATIENCE....KIDOGO.SLOW SLOW ..I AM ENCOURAGED... THANK YOU MARK❤❤..yes I'm on the continent..so i can relate 😊

Loo, you are intellectually advanced beyond your years. That is actually a compliment😊. I have not watched your channel in a long time because I, myself, finally made it to the continent, ie. Ghana. You are so right about everything you said. I've been here over 2 years and I'm ready to leave Ghana but I can't leave yet because I started a business here. There are times I wish I didn't start my business here, there are times I wish I didn't come here, there are times I wish I didn't have to go through what I went through here but as you stated, I'm paving the way so that things can be easier for those coming after me. Though I wish it was the other way around, lol. But with all that being said, I prefer to be on the continent than the plantation. We come from comfort on the plantation but there's a cost to bear for that. On the continent, you have to create your own comfort and there's more of mind here.

I am in TZ but I only came and am only staying being the LORD spoke it to me to move here so I’m being obedient. But I feel isolated, frustrated, feel like everyone is trying to use me for money because they think I’m a “rich American“ . I don’t trust any of the people here and I really don’t want to be here anymore but going back isn’t an option. This is really hard.

Hi my friend, I felt that a little myself even though I was here in Tanzania for two weeks. It was a great visit but as Mark stated everyone is looking at you as money and trying to get anything from you which can be difficult if you don't understand the culture. What part of Tanzania are you living in? I'd like to do some farming with an organization that I am working with but not sure if the land will be purchased or not. Just remember everything will work for your good and hope the best in your situation. Believe in yourself and the skills you have and you can make your dreams come true despite any setbacks.

As an African who just moved back home 3 months ago after living in America for over 30 years. I agree with everything you said. I know of other Africans who moved back home to help build..... but within few months or few short years they leave and go back to America, angry, bitter and frustrated. They even try to discourage me and many others from returning home. I love my country & continent enough to put up with the abuse, cheating, hating, lies....

Are you people serious. Yes there are lies and deceit everywhere. Unfortunately that is part of the human condition. However there is no place more deceitful and full of lies and contradictions and hate than America and some of the West. Some of you act as if you are unaware of colonialism and Imperialism. If you are going to be critical please save some of your criticism for America. Look what is happening with the Israeli Palestine War with thousands of Palestinians being slaughtered and most of the Western Governments, including Germany standing with Israel and its Criminal acts. If you think most of these countries care about you I believe you are delusional. Africa has a lot of history to overcome but you will not find a more tolerant people anywhere, generally of course.

Greetings, brother, Mark! I have only been to the continent, physically, one time. I was in Uganda. I know that some of the Europeans and Asians come and make it work, my host, who is born and raised in Uganda, feels that this is partially due to the fact that these Europeans and Asians are treated better. It is definitely true that many of them come organized and with social economic plans instead of seeking refuge, I find it interesting that even a need, if your garden feels that these foreigners are treated better than the native people, and in too many cases, often treated better than other African people. This means that a lot of spiritual and psychological work in examination remains to be done. Thank you for being an encouragement.

Being enslaved in your own country and not able to have confidence in your government, because it is controlled by other nations that does not care. This is why other nations can "make it work" , they CONTROL with money and resources taken from the people and land in Africa. This is called living off the backs of Africans labor, money and resources.

The problematic Caribbean diaspora have filled prisons in the Caribbean, Canada and the UK since the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and all the 2000’s because they don’t understand economics, culture and mannerisms. It’s problematic that you’re hyperfixated on people unaccustomed to scam culture instead of the scam culture itself. God has to exist in the place for anyone to enjoy, why because God is our creator, we must look to God and put our trust in God to have fulfillment. Let God laws and teachings lead us and not we ourselves. You see a lot of us lost our knowledge and wisdom of God, we don't understand how God is our savior and salvation, that God is greatly exalted. A lot of us say we Godly but don't practice righteousness and uprightness, we wake in evil and sleep in evil. Blessed is a nation that worship the lord almighty God. God bless the righteous and perish the wicked. Mark, never put your trust in a man but only in our lord almighty God. Believe, trust and worship God day and night for your blessing.

For the diaspora when you are coming to Africa, you must come with the mentality that you are coming to build your homeland. Come with no expectation. But with the mentality to build and together Africa will be great. ❤from Namibia 🇳🇦.

Let's not forget America is the same way. If we can tolerate the abuse from America we can deal with Africa. No place is more daunting than America. You have to keep an open mind about what your vision is. Why your going to Africa. You are going for your healing, and not bringing your American mindset, traumas you go for a new beginning, a new chapter. I am on my way to get my healing and get together with my brothers and sisters to heal.

Hi Mark thanks for touching on this topic. Living on the continent is really not easy. Especially when the people who look like us don't embrace us like we thought they would. It hurts to see how they embrace the white man. Who have for many years divided us. Africa is waking up but we have a long way to go. Let's keep hope alive.

You have to put in the work and learn their language and culture and also show you are there to invest and build in Africa, show long term commitments to the continent and not just "give it a go" for a year or whatever and work consciously to assimilate in order to be embraced and respected. You can't rely on skin colour alone to create bonds and respect.

There are good and bad people everywhere, but it does hit different when you think you have found a new home and some people make it unbearably difficult. But, we do have to find our own trusted people who will treat us well. If I did not have a support system of local people, it would be crazy difficult for me too. I have confident expectations that it is possible for many to come and find peace on the continent.

One thing you mentioned, how do the other race managed to leave there and make wealth? That’s is very good question…. What I know they do come to Tanzania/Africa with less expectation and being humble with the local… learn the language… do several visitings to make there minds where to settle and what to do… I’m Tanzanian leaving abroad, but I have not seen the best place like Tanzania/africa and will be back shortly there…

I didn’t stay for many reasons.. 1 -being that an immigration officer told us to go back where we came from because they don’t want us there. I’m sure you’ve heard all of the stories. Everyone leaves Tanzania with a few! 2- it was not about money. I actually left with more than I came with. Doing ones due diligence is being boots on the ground! You have to be wherever you plan on living! Definitely have an open mind!

One of the issues that blk people may be having that I see is that we are not coming over there as a tribe. And most are trying to assimilate into other tribes and their culture. We need to do what our ancestors did after slavery. 100 people coming together to build a village/town with our own Soul culture. Instead I see most people going to Africa just to build a big house with no black wall street. That most peoples priorities I see on the UA-cam front at least. Everyone is all about themselves not the tribe. Therefore they have to buy from other tribes constantly that only see you as the next fool to be taken advantage of.

Mr Mark thank you. I really understand that your personality is genuine. It's mature and valuable. This vlog said it all. Only those that will have the humility for change will understand. Even though Darwin wasn't including blacks in his survival of the fittest theory western ways which create competition, comparison, jealousy, and greed is the total opposite of what we are symbolized (America land of the just and free). NOT. I guess we were supposed to be but the Truth always prevails. Getting back to you, your maturity and willingness to learn and grow speaks volumes. Thanks Mark you make so much sense to me and I am a Happy Elder who is headed that way. I still trying to convince my hubby to come with me...just 2 visit that's all. We're from St Louis- hubby and Cali- myself.
