Thanks. I bought Epic and now I have great options for adding variety to my units. Really appreciate the effort you made with his presentation. Few people do genuine size comparisons that work, for those of us not living in the UK. And in answer to your question; I couldn't tell the dragoons apart.
great that is was helpful to you and others - I can also report Peter Pig and Magister Militum compare well too but Steel Fist are the nicest them all!
Thanks for taking the time to do this and very informative. I wished I had something similar when I did a billion Epic ACW. Have a box of each Epic ECW horse and foot and like the idea of mixing figures to create a more dynamic base and hence battle field.
Steel fist? Never heard of them that’s neat. I recently bought some Essex miniature 15mm polish hussars to accent my Pike & Shotte Epic 30YW army. You’re Essex video helped me make that determination so thank you
On the subject of Warlord's Epic Battles scale, may I also give a shout out for Kallistra? Their ACW is a very close match to Epic's ACW and possibly good for the filling out your armies with the less required items (e.g., command personalities, guns, limbers - but NOT their wagons which are not good, period wise, imo). Their guns (artillery), for example, are more accurate sculpt wise (e.g., number of spokes on wheels), you get 3 times as many gun barrels as you need to give you the choice of 10 pdr Parrot Rifle, 3 inch ordnance rifle or 12pdr Napoleon barrels and a lot cheaper.
yes I have heard that about Kallistra - if I ever get into Epic ACW I might try them although i have a pretty large 15mm army already so I doubt it will happen soon!
I went the opposite route: I backed the Steel Fist Kickstarter and purchased many packs for games of For King & Parliament... and then was delightfully surprised when I saw that Warlord's new release fit them perfectly. 🙂
@@BootsontheTable My Steel Fist order was enough for one side of a battle. I purchased the Push of Pike big box. I'll keep the delightful pike and shotte minis and sell/donate the rest! My first troops are painted up and look fantastic!
They are close, rather like the Kallistra were with the ACW, It would benefit some manufacturers to deliberately do a similar scale as part of the plans for income stream.
Great video I don't know why people get so work up about the size as I have 28mm Indians and 25mm they look ok to me as real people are not the same size when going to battle unless the size looks to different with some other stuff. 🤠🤠🤠
So what rules are you intending use to game with these figures. How many years will it take you to finish your Epic project then Dom? Did you look at the Peter Pig ranges?
i'll use Pike & Shotte as i do with the larger scale. They work well. Working well through the box, I seem to have a flow. Yes I am waiting on some Peter Pig too
Thanks mate. Just ordered some to go with my Epic ECW. Will also be ordering some village people to mix in. Thanks.... Greg
Enjoy the project
Where I have required larger musket to pike ratio I have added steel fist musketeers in firing poses in front of the epic strips.
That would look very good. Nice idea
Yes, cuirassiers are really the main problem. They were quite iconic in early 30YW. I hope they have some of the figures in stock again soon.
You and me both!

Glad it was helpful!
Always good to see scale/figure comparisons- kind of the bane of the wargamer's life!
true
Dom this is a great video you have done here. I love when people compare miniature ranges as you are doing a service for all gamers!!!
I appreciate that!

Great it was helpful. Steel Fist are lovely sculpts
An excellent comparison dom, surprisingly ive never heard of this company
some lovely minis mate
These are nice. I will probably also look to peter pig for some odd things, like clubmen and storming parties.
they work well too
Thanks for this - just ordered some Steel Fist cavalry to go with the Epics. Will be interested to see your other comparisons.
Hope you enjoy them!

If I didn’t have a big box of Epic I might have used the Steel Fist cavalry and epic infantry

You need to check out old glory miniatures both us and uk 15mm I think you will like them sir! Thank you for the video and keep up the great work!
Thanks, will do!
Good information there Dom.
Glad to help

Agreed. Clearly Epic is a success so I wonder if more companies will look to match the scale moving forward
Great video, Steel Fist Miniatures it is!
It sure is!
