Not sure if someone has commented on this yet or not...Alpaca does not have grease (lanolin) like sheep's wool. What you are feeling is a different protein structure. Under a microscope you will see vast differences between the fibers of alpaca and sheep. Alpaca is smoother and more compact. Alpaca is very warm and moisture resistant. Also, oddly, slightly flame retardant. But as a spinner myself, I definitely can feel the difference.

I am so glad that I found your podcast! Your knitting projects are beautiful, and I like that you explain why you chose a particular yarn, and why you made the changes you made, and even how you worked through seeing if you had sufficient yarn for the ranunculus sweater. Thank you for leaving time at the end to knit and chat. I wish you all the best in your new program as an OB-gyn!

Good luck with your new specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology. I think it will make you happy seeing the nice smile on your face when you mentioned it. Congratulations on your decision.
If you ever feel like doing an internship in Canada, I believe that you would be welcomed with open arms. But there is a reason behind the warm welcome of Canadian women that may not be a good fit for you if you want to have time to knit and have a good work and life balance. Where I live, we are very short in these specialists in Ontario, Canada as I have been waiting since July 2018 to get an appointment and I am still waiting ... All the best, Chantal

Loved all that you have made, especially your colour work jumper, looks really warm! I have had a tussel with my sock, the heel mainly but I was determined to conquer them! and i think i have now, i make mine on Chiaogoo 9" circulars , and though I have quite large hands, i am used to them now and they knit wool up quickly. All the very best next week in your new field, sounds really exciting, good luck with the decorating. And I think most knitters have passion for yarn and have a hoarding tendency!!! it is a affliction that goes with knitting! Look forward to seeing you again soon. Suze. x

Your knitting is gorgeous 💗 I am a fairly new knitter and I look forward to doing some color work....a lot simpler than your masterpieces 😊 I also love how you talk about your surrounds. I live in Queensland Australia 🌴☀️where I turn the air conditioning very cold and pretend I’m somewhere nice and cool while I knit, Thankyou for sharing the knitting love 💗

Hi! I'm new to knitting and just found your wonderful channel :) I fell in love with the sweater you showed at 28:50 and would love to try and make it someday, would you maybe consider adding the pattern on ravelry so I can buy it from you? 😇

Your cabled sweater looks amazing! I can not even imagine how you knit that colorwork sweater in a few days🤯

That Tilda hat is so so cute!! And the pompom looks great
omg I'm the same. I had two online orders coming from two different places but I couldn't wait and went to a LYS to buy one single skein for socks to give away and ended up buying another one for myself. And the LYS is on the way to work/home. It's so hard not to stop there all the time!
Usually to not waste yarn, I do my swatch but don't cut the yarn. And then I can just frog it and reuse it.
