Inga, I really enjoyed this Q & A episode, so much information and at the same time it felt quite intimate, like a good friend with lots of knitting experience passing down her knowledge. Thanks a lot !
The knit with me section is always my favorite part of your videos! It makes me feel like I’m knitting and chatting with a friend 😊thank you so much for making a video like this ❤
Inga, thanks for this video. For keeping it real and being honest. Life is busy with commitments and responsibilities towards our families, our profession/job and at times I find myself juggling with it all. I don't manage to knit as much as I would like.. Watching podcasts inspire me, however I also find myself questioning if I can ever get more productive. Thanks for the reminder that's its ok... and all that matters is enjoy your knitting. Have wonderful time with your parents. Hugs to baby Nelly and you ❤❤
Inga I never miss a video cast from you, your inspiration is incredibly appreciated and you’re down to earth attitude is very enjoyable to hear and watch. You’re always so kind and fun as well. Thank you so much
Hello Inga. I really enjoyed hearing so much about yourself and would love to know more still. You are like listening to a friend very far away yet it doesn't seem to matter. You are truly an inspiration I many ways and I hope you can keep your podcast going for years to come. Thank you so much❤❤
Thanks for another great podcast, learned more about you and your knitting and loved the way you did the answers to the questions. You are beautiful and your appearance was as pleasant as any other of your videos. Didn’t know you worked as a model before, would love to see some pictures of that time. Nelly is a lucky little girl, one day she will have so many choices to choose from for her wardrobe.
Hi Inga, I love this podcast format and learn so much hearing you answer these types of knitting questions. I especially love how you describe your lack of perfectionism related to knitting mistakes, etc, as you always make such stunning garments and other items.. I laughed out loud when you said that you don’t tell Matteus when you purchase yarn! (I often do the same with my husband) Thank you as always for inspiring me.
Inga, I so enjoy your podcast. Thank you for sharing your knitting and your life with us! I can't believe how productive you are with work and now a new baby. You inspire me! Regarding the sleeves on your beautiful red dress, in American English we call those butterfly sleeves, or if they are longer (elbow length), bell sleeves. The do look like butterflies - so pretty!
Just want to add that I am so grateful you started your podcast, and created this community. I enjoy hearing about your projects, and reading the comments from other knitters too!
I really enjoyed this video. It’s nice to get your answers all back to back like this! As a novice knitter I am pleased. ☺️ I’ve been shopping around for other knitting podcasts to follow and I must say that yours is ever my favorite. I love your pace and your vibes. Hope motherhood is treating you well so far. 💛
This was a most enjoyable episode. Thanks for mentioning that podcasts you subscribe to can be seen on your home page - I didn’t know we could do that and I will definitely check some out. One I would recommend purely for the entertainment value (but she’s also a wonderful knitter) is Chevyrell. I discovered both of your channels about the same time and am always excited when a new one drops.
😂❤ my stash is a separate hobby all on its own🥰😘 Yes! Lol .... that statement just freed me! ( My daughter is a knitter/crocheter and is a big help with using my stash and knows that it is probably her only inheritance 😂) . Enjoyed knitting with you today... on a lounger with my feet up, a cardamom espresso, and elbows propped on one down pillow and a Jack Russell.
What a wonderful session - just like having a chat with a friend! I love your philosophy of giving things a try - we grow in so many ways when we push boundaries. Constantly in awe of how much you get done in your life - juggling work, knitting, home life, and now Nelli! You continue to inspire us all.
Thank you Inga! Lovely to see and hear you ! Nellie green dress is gorgeous in fact everything you knit is beautiful! I always remember that beautiful cardigan you knitted for your Mum possibly a year ago.... and that beautiful card you knitted for yourself it’s very colourful yellow with maybe a tulips in purple I think you may have called it your Easter Cardigan.? Enjoy rest of your holiday and especially the sun! Hugs & xx 💜🧶💜
Inga, Hello from Kentucky! I only began knitting in 2020 when I found my mom's knitting needles and yarn stash. Your channel is the very first UA-cam channel I subscribed to and now I have many, many other knitting podcasts I enjoy watching! I am so impressed by you and all the knitters I watch who create freestyle. Someday I will get there but until then I will knit the sock pattern I found that fits me well. Thank you for sharing all your talent with us. All the best to you and your family!
Thank you so much. I got a lot of tips 🧶😊. My favourite yarn is also worsted spun wool sport weight. I love Hobbii Highland wool. It is so perfect and it comes in the most beautiful colours.
Thanks for this super chill and informative Knit and Chat Q&A, Inga! 🥰 I was sewing on buttons to a cardigan I knit to wear on my wedding day while watching your video. This made me reflect how much I learned from you. I got into knitting around the same time that we made the decision to move to Norway a couple of years ago, which made me look up "Norwegian knitting podcasters" and you popped up. :) Your podcast taught me a whole lot, about knitting as well as about this beautiful country. I don´t think I´d be wearing a handknit cardigan on my wedding day (in Norway) if it weren´t for your podcast. So thank you! 🥰
Thank you Inga for this lovely episode. It was so comforting to sit and knit with you. I so enjoyed hearing about your knitting tradition, with your Grandma. I bet your patients feel very safe and comfortable with you, as you have such a soothing voice and just a sweet manner. So glad you decided to start podcasting. I love seeing all the little knits always that you are making for Nellie. Take care.
Inga I had a long drive for my archaeology job today so I listened while driving. Thanks for keeping me company! Also, I have lost a wip before too. I love that while we’re the same age but not in the exact same stage of life (I don’t have kids but I have a 3 year old niece) we both knit the exact same way. I look forward to your knitting podcasts. Hopefully I can return to mine. However, I’m going to wait until I have a few finished objects. I’ve been learning a lot of lessons from all of my knitting failures. Here’s hoping my current wips go a lot better! I’m really looking forward to tackling the in and out raglan with the flower motif I’m trying to knit. I also finally am getting my hands on the sandes garn booklet in English that has the slip over pattern you love to knit and wear so much. I hope you’re soaking up your trip to Turkey with your lovely daughter. They grow so fast. My niece is just starting to speak full sentences and you never know what she’s going to say! I’m knitting the little Camélia for her in the six year old size.
Wonderful as always! My great-grandma was a seamstress and had a shop in Little Italy NYC when she came to the USA. I have a lot of her embroidery and crochet works. I still love the sound of a needle 🪡 going through cloth because of her. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
I love your videos, and I don't even knit (yet) ☺. I'm just here for the calm, cozy vibes. I do crochet, however, so I crocheted along with you this time. I'm crocheting a cardigan using a bamboo yarn. The yarn separates so easily so I feel your pain. Hope you had a wonderful vacation (if you're home) or still having a wonderful vacay if you're still in Turkey!
Hello Inga, thanks for your video. I have been watching it while my daughter was having her afternoon nap and I was knitting. It was for me like sitting with a friend and chatting. Including the sounds outside. Thanks much for such a wonderful time. Btw I was having my feet up and sipping black tea with lemon.😊
I so much love you for saying - my stash is a hobby on its own - that it is forme too - people ask? What will you knit from all that yarn? Oh if I am going to knitall my yarn,I will sit and cry - the yarn is my jewelry. And sweaters.
Hi Inga, I loved learning more about your knitting journey in this podcast. I was also taught to knit my grandmother as a young child. I still love to knit and knit an average of 6 hours a day as I am now retired. I started knitting more when my granddaughter was born and have not slowed down. I love seeing your baby knits. Baby knits & socks are my favorites. ❤
I am an artist of paintbrush and pen...YOU are a true artist with knitting needles. Breathtaking creations. Nelly is one blessed little girl. 🥰💖💕🥰💖💕🥰💖💕
I missed this live but have enjoyed catching up with your chat. I’m so pleased you started your podcast - I have been here from the very first one and always look forward to a new episode 😍
Oh Inga, thanks for the vid! I wasn’t expecting a video while you’re in Turkey! Enjoy all your time in sunny there! I enjoyed this peek into your knitting life and would love to hear more but I’m uncomfortable asking you personal questions. I think you should share what feels right to you. So I’ll leave it there. Have fun, don’t get burned and enjoy the pool! Hugs, ClaudiaSJI
Inga, you had me laughing so hard when you said 'faffy'. I've only ever heard my British grandparents and my mom say that. Brought back lots of good memories. I'm so glad that you are still finding time to knit. I found it quite hard when my girls were little (however, I never had babies-my girls were adopted at 19 and 22 months and they were not nappers unfortunately). Always a pleasure to watch your podcast. Best wishes!
In English the flowy piece of fabric is called ruffles. And the red color is soooo beautiful Inga ❤️ I loved to get to know you more. I also love black tea, te chai and coffee. I came so late to comment because I reserve your videos for my knitting nights. Much love to your family and little Nellie
The dress for Nellie is beautiful and the colour is lovely. The dress is exceptional and the sleeves are called butterfly sleeves but I am not sure. The question and answer session is so nice. Take care ❤😊
Hi Inga all your nits are beautiful. The red dress with the ruffles should be very pretty. I agree with you I like to recline when I'm knitting or crocheting.
Hi Inga! Really enjoyed the new video. You have to go to Portugal and vacation there sometime, go to the beach but also on some stroll-friendly hikes! 😄 Enjoy your time in the sun Vi ses! ☀️
This Q&A was so enjoyable to knit along to. I have a very random question, I noticed you have a Samoyed dog (I have a Siberian Husky at home) - have you ever considered collecting the shed fur and wash/spin it into yarn for knitting? I started doing it when my old boy got very old and sick, and have also been collecting from my new boy 😅 I feel like a lot of people might find it weird but I thought it'd be cute to have a small accessory to remember my dog with!
Hi Inga, i enjoyed this video very much! I'm next week in norway and my biggest problem will be my husband. He didn't know how much yarn i ususally purchase, but now he will be with me ;-) best wishes from germany
Call it yarn souvenirs to remember the trip and that with the cost of ahipping your basically saving money buy getting it straight from the source;) enjoy your trip💕💕
Yay, so excited for another video from you 🥰 I had been meaning to ask your opinion on the Hillesvåg Forgarn, so perfect timing that you mentioned it 🥰
Came to the comments to say what, I see, Nicole already said! Totally agree, so relaxed but still so informative and felt like we were all knitting together rather than sat in a lecture theatre ☺️ I had a really busy few weeks and missed the "Ask me a question" prompt...I'd love to know how many Half&half triangles wraps you would demm "enough"? 😊 I cannot work with a yarn that gives me the heebies just handling it, don't blame you for getting rid and avoiding.
I love your Q&A`s which round blanket would you like to knit next? While watching I´m knitting the (never ending ) edge of the mini Augustine`s No 1. although I would use it as table cloth or a little shawl may be. Next round thing i`m going to knit may be the brioche o`clock shaw, blanket what ever. Much love from Germany! I love the baby pictures , she is such a beautiful chunky baby :) Happy knitting
Hi Inga. I really enjoyed to watching your podcast. I remember yours first podcast, you was sitting in a small corner on the chair with your dog,and from this time till now I'm really enjoyed every yours video. Enjoy your holiday with Nellie and yours parents ❤❤❤
Your dress is a gorgeous big project. I give you credit for such a bi project but it will be stunning and the color will look amazing on you. I also wanted to let you know your last podcast encouraged me to make the ribbed baby pants you made. So adorable.
I love that dress, the Lola , I love that whole booklet, I should get it, I think by the time I knit that dress I would be way too old to pull it off, as with most of the patterns in that booklet, that is what has held me back, but I go look at it every once and a while. 😊
I have a stash about as large as yours and I love it! I also consider it a separate hobby! I probably have about 30 sweater quantities alone in my stash not including other things like socks and hats etc! I don’t feel bad about it at all :)
Hi, Inga.. would love to hear more about your modeling days, that sounds very interesting. I'm currently reknitting the Morning Ramble cardigan from the KnitPicks pattern book called Woodsmoke. It's a fairly complicated pattern and the 1st time i knit it was a great balance to long busy shifts in the trauma/ED as an RN. I'm reknitting it because 6 months after I finished it, it was lost when our home burned down, ( just before COVID)..along with all my knits, sewing, quilts and other fiber work. Finally, we have a home rebuilt, I got to retire, and have more time to knit and watch podcasts. This time the cardigan is much easier and going very well. I'm using knitpicks bramble heather in worsted weight. We live very rurally on a farm near Nodaway, Iowa, so along with house building, I spent 1 year just collecting yarns from fiber festivals, to on line, to any yarn shop i could manage to get to. A girl NEEDS a stash when the moods strikes to cast on. thanks for keeping me so entertained, Jan Lucas
Lovely episode 💜 It was nice to sit and chat with you while beginning the colorwork section of my brother's sweater. I will keep this in my saved folder to look back on the advice for yarns and patters, etc. Thank you for taking the time while on vacation and visiting with your parents.
Hey, I'm a breast feeding mama as well, my second born is 7 months now and one thing I really love love love to wear out in public is a tank top or body suit under my clothing. That way I can wear whatever top or shirt I want and not worry about flashing too much skin. It's great!
My husband and I loved you Q&A. I felt like I was knitting with you. You are so delightful. I absolutely love Nellie’s clothes. My niece is trying to get pregnant. I may start making clothes and stashing them away just in case. Patricia from California
I really enjoyed your question and answer period. I know that in the Scandinavian countries, you are given one year of maternity leave so that you can bind with your baby. I think that is a wonderful thing. We do not have that in the US. But as a physician, I wonder how you will be able to keep up your surgical skills if you are away from work for such a long time.
We get 7 months and the rest is unpaid here but its more important for me then becoming a specialist quickly so it will just take abit longer to get into the groove of certain procedures but thats ok🥰
Hey! I have a bust size that leads me to choose smaller sizes. (32in) But I also have broad shoulders. I also have more of belly since having kids. How should I go about choosing my size to accommodate my shoulders and upper arms?
Takk for fint selskap en grytidlig fredag. Anbefaler gjerne garn fra Telespinn. Der lager de bl.a nydelig garn av ull fra geiter i mange flotte farger.
Inga Hi! You are into lace at the moment both for yourself and Nellie and its just one beautiful masterpiece after another You are making - really fascinating. I have a question in making my first jumper after ca 30 years. Nowadays its all top/down. So how are those underarm cast on stitches joined on to the main body work or is there an opening left there or what ? It's very confusing😢 Thank you. Enjoy your precious young motherhood days ❤❤❤❤
You normally cast on stitches to join the front and back as you set the sleeve stitches aside to finish knitting later. When its time to knit the sleeve you will pick up stitches from where the underarm caston stirches are thus closing the gap to knit in the round, no seeming just ends to weave in
Inga, I really enjoyed this Q & A episode, so much information and at the same time it felt quite intimate, like a good friend with lots of knitting experience passing down her knowledge. Thanks a lot !
Glad you enjoyed it!😁💕
Hello Inga! I love your podcast, so natural, so generous, never too long! Enjoy the sun and the precious time with your baby and family! 🥰

I'm so glad!
I enjoyed the chat while knitting and sitting outdoors after a morning of yard work. Thank you! 😊
Sounds like a lovely day🥰

You are so welcome!
Love this episode. Thanks for sharing your wealth of real life knowledge.
You are so welcome!💕💕💕

I’ll download this video and watch it off line while knitting on the flight to Chicago. Thanks for the great content.
Safe flight💕
Oh Inga, thanks for the vid! I wasn’t expecting a video while you’re in Turkey! Enjoy all your time in sunny there! Thank you Claudia😁💕 you can always ask, il answer if it feels right🥰
Enjoyed your Q&A. Love, love your natural look. I didn't realize what a beautiful woman you are.
I love how you described the different types of sweaters. I'm going to try a ranunculus and the weekender. Wish me luck!!
Good luck!!
Thank you Inga, a beautiful episode!
Im sure those ages are harder to find knitting time for since naps are fewer and shorter😜💕
The Venezia Shawl looks very interesting, thank you for this episode and giveaway!
Ooo, Inga💫🩷 so great to see and hear you again 💫💫💫🦋🩷🌸🩷
Knitting was passed down to me through the women in my family as well💕and I always do regular old bind off too.

Enjoy your podcast as always. Just a thought as a spinner. Woolen spun yarn is much lighter in weight than worsted spun yarn

Came to the comments to say what, I see, Nicole already said! Totally agree, so relaxed but still so informative and felt like we were all knitting together rather than sat in a lecture theatre ☺️
I had a really busy few weeks and missed the "Ask me a question" prompt...I'd love to know how many Half&half triangles wraps you would demm "enough"? 😊
I cannot work with a yarn that gives me the heebies just handling it, don't blame you for getting rid and avoiding.
Is rhere such a thing as enough🤪 i guess if you dont have any where to put them and no use for more or want different colors then its enough🤭
My stash is a bit like yours, a seperate hobby on its own 😊 a fabulous podcast as always.
Oh thank you!
Either the no 5 or the wone she has vollbed with we are knitters😁
Hi Inga.
I really enjoyed to watching your podcast. I remember yours first podcast, you was sitting in a small corner on the chair with your dog,and from this time till now I'm really enjoyed every yours video. Enjoy your holiday with Nellie and yours parents ❤❤❤
Thank you💕
LOVED this episode Inga! I knit with you and it was so sweet. Thank you. 😘

Thank you so much!
really enjoyed your comments about yarn inga and your relaxed approach., very inspiring . I knit daily and am always looking for inspiration...
Thank you so much!
Your dress is a gorgeous big project. I give you credit for such a bi project but it will be stunning and the color will look amazing on you. I also wanted to let you know your last podcast encouraged me to make the ribbed baby pants you made. So adorable.
Thank you so much! Yey😁
Soooo happy to see you!! ❤
I was so excited to see a podcast from you today! Love the Lola dress! Now I want to knit one 😊
Yay! Thank you!
Very nice chat with you. Merci!
I love that dress, the Lola , I love that whole booklet, I should get it, I think by the time I knit that dress I would be way too old to pull it off, as with most of the patterns in that booklet, that is what has held me back, but I go look at it every once and a while. 😊
No such thins as to old unless you feel it is😘
I love your chatty videos! You're such an interesting person
Oh thank you!
I have a stash about as large as yours and I love it! I also consider it a separate hobby! I probably have about 30 sweater quantities alone in my stash not including other things like socks and hats etc! I don’t feel bad about it at all :)
Its so many oportunities just waiting for your attention😍 love it
Hi, Inga.. would love to hear more about your modeling days, that sounds very interesting.
Im so sorry to hear about what happened to your home, that must have been devestating😢 im glad your getting to build a new stash again 💕 i agree😘
Love it, lots of inspiration. You rock 🧶
Thank you! 😘
Lovely episode 💜 It was nice to sit and chat with you while beginning the colorwork section of my brother's sweater. I will keep this in my saved folder to look back on the advice for yarns and patters, etc. Thank you for taking the time while on vacation and visiting with your parents.
I really enjoyd this video ❤
Welcome to Turkiye ❤ hope you enjoy your stay .I really like your podcasts. Love from Istanbul
Thank you so much!
Inga, I really enjoyed this episode. Thanks.
I'm so glad!
Oh thank you! I hope she hets her bundle of joy then💕 always good to have some knits on hand;)
Great to see you.. thanks for sharing ❤
Thanks for watching!
Hi Inga, so good to hear from you ❤❤❤
Zealana do possum blends, which are both super light and very warm, do not pill and very soft x
Oh that sounds lovely!
I may be going to Turkey this summer. Can you recommend any spots for yarn shopping? ♥🧶
There are several stores in alanya where i am, id recomend googeling yarnstore in google maps and see what pops up😁
Hey! I have a bust size that leads me to choose smaller sizes. (32in) But I also have broad shoulders. I also have more of belly since having kids. How should I go about choosing my size to accommodate my shoulders and upper arms?
I to have broader shoulders, id size up to fit your abdomen, even if it gives you more room around the bust it will lay more nicely over the shoulders
Takk for fint selskap en grytidlig fredag. Anbefaler gjerne garn fra Telespinn. Der lager de bl.a nydelig garn av ull fra geiter i mange flotte farger.
Må prøves!
I like your video and inspirational ideas. I am curieus about your most work sweater (14:45 min) could not get the name right, Guernsey Ganser?
Guernsey genser from sandnes garn
PEPLUM / volant in French.❤❤❤love ya.
Volant🙌🏻💕😍
Ruffled sleeves is the term I think, for the dress.
It's very confusing😢
Thank you. Enjoy your precious young motherhood days ❤❤❤❤
You normally cast on stitches to join the front and back as you set the sleeve stitches aside to finish knitting later. When its time to knit the sleeve you will pick up stitches from where the underarm caston stirches are thus closing the gap to knit in the round, no seeming just ends to weave in
Thank you, I will try your instructions now 😊
