- Heroic fighters make a daring escape from the ice moon of Andal V....
Thank you for watching Escape from Andal V! This is part of Remnant: A Star Wars Fan Series, which is meant to tell a classic Empire vs. Rebels story through a series of small vignettes, mainly space battles and lore videos.
This was meant to be a shorter piece in order for me to experiment with new rendering and color grading techniques, and I'm very happy with how it turned out.
If you like this and the previous videos I've done, be sure to subscribe and share with your friends. It really helps me out, and encourages me to do more of this!
Here are some of the incredible modelers and artists that have helped and will bring this series to life. Check them out!

This is probably the closest someone can get to pure professional movie quality. The view inside the X-Wing cockpit and the 3rd person perspective on the X-Wing was absolutely amazing!
you mean first person?
"Almost got this guy...! I'll be an ace after this!"
"Return to the hangar, TIE Seven."
"What? But sir, they're getting away!"
"And we have made a sufficient show of trying to stop them."
Superb work! And it's awesome to see the Colin Cantwell destroyer and the CR110 brought to life in such an exciting way!
Hey, they wouldn’t have been brought to life at all without you
Indeed, keep up the good work
Etc Henry, since the x wing guns are much wider, how do they all hit the much narrower ties
@@alexbrown6980 The lasers are set to converge at a certain distance, and I’m guessing the convergence can be set mid flight depending on what you’re targeting. That’s also how WW2 and some later fighters with wing mounted guns hit their targets
@@sirboomsalot4902 they have to be set pre-mission. They’re typically “zeroed” at close ranges, such as 250 meters, but during the battle of yavin, they were zeroed at almost 500, to hit the stationary targets from further away.
This is movie level. No joke. I could easily see this in rogue one
better than rogue one
This is better than anything Disney has done.
@@JesusFriedChrist true
Charles lego Haha you’re funny, have you seen RO ? Apparently not
@@Conservative_crusader Rogue One is the only Disney's Starwars movie that is good. Not just watchable, it's a good Star Wars movie.
I conceed that there is sometimes to much fanservices but as a whole, the movie is realy enjoyable.
Awesomeeeee!!! If you keep making these I promise you that we will keep watching :-)
Thanks for this subtle reminder to keep painting @Goobertown
In other words, we will be watching their career with great interest.
@@balrighty3523 Same here.
Seconded.
@@Antidragon-nl7by Thank you.
as a star wars nerd I can only shake my head in disbelief at how good this is
@@kruleworld it still is though. Except the sequels of course
@@oliverstaples8999 sequels are good at best. Mediocre to say the least.
@@Goofyahh1337 that's too generous, only thing good about them was the cgi and cinematography
Doug Chiang should see this. I bet he gets so excited to see how far fan-made projects can achieve these days
Who?
@@nivek3998 He's a creative exec at Lucasfilm who worked as a concept artist on the prequels. Basically, he designed a lot of the ships.
@@nivek3998 Creative director at Lucasfilm; he designed a lot of the ships since the prequels through today
@@a-stardesigns1453 I wonder how Chiang feels about the ep-9 destroyers and other 'compromise' designs that were pushed due to tight deadlines.
@@ignazioacerenza9881 seeing as he’s still a part of it. He’s probably the one that okay’d it.
Most impressive... :D
Agreed!!!
I read that in Darth Vader's voice. lol
@@TheEDFLegacy and that's the only way to read that
Heyyyy love your content
❤👍
Battlefront man
Rebels: *escape*
Empire: "We have them tied on the end of string."
Another great fan film! Keep it up!
125 seconds of Star Wars content better than what a $200+ billion company can come up with.
18 Dis-Bags and friends of KK have voted this down. SMH.
Rogue one was amazing though, so lucasfilm can do it, we just need KK gone
@@Saintphoenix86 Star Wars is dead. Long live "The Empire Strikes Back"!
It's the only Star Wars I really need other than the Imperial Assault board game from FFG.
More realistic, better atmosphere. Best I ever see.
Amen!
This looked fantastic! Really high quality stuff!
This is the type of quality you'd see in the Mandalorian.
Nah. This is better than anything Disney has done.
Yeah its much better than Disney
@@JesusFriedChrist no, its not. But its very good, it matches up to it. :-)
@@JesusFriedChrist no that’s just silly. Just try praising this guys amazing work without turning it towards your anti-Disney agenda.
My 4 and 6 year old screamed “STAR WARS!!!” when they saw this. Nice job! Keep the dream alive!
Whoa, CGI and effects look so great, it's like a real movie. Hope to see more in the future!
I like how the Star Destroyer is based on Colin Cantwell's original design.
It is a great design and just feels more military for some reason.
@@ArmouryTerrain The prototype star Destroyer which Colins original was had actual battleship model parts on it. Thus why your getting the more military vibe for it.
Functional military ships tend to be more about being practical and not about looks
If you haven't seen it yet, check EC Henry's channel, those are his models, and all of his ship designs are gorgeous.
Finally, someone notices.
That shot of X-wing changing foils with astromech sitting there is just so Star Wars! I haven't felt such joy from any Disney SW, you bring tears to my eyes!
HOLY SHITE THIS WORK IS INCREDIBLE!!
Perfect music selection as well!!!
Always a pleasure to watch and work with you Ryan, perfect job!!
This is insane! Amazing work!
Didn’t expect to see you here also when will the 200 days of nuclear age come out if you make it lol
This is seriously incredible. You nailed the Rogue One look
"To be an enemy of America can be dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal.”
Henry Kissinger
ua-cam.com/video/2q6Ndaq6EoQ/v-deo.html
This is probably the best fan made action sequence I have ever seen. The cockpit scene felt so real, especially with the distortion. Well done!
That A wing pilot just showing off with that barrel roll before jumping. Thank you for making the dream come true
This was simply amazing, loved it.
The lighting and renderings on point. Looks like a scene straight out of Rogue One during the battle of Scarrif.
Damn i hope more like this is made its amazing quality and deserves recognition
The production quality jump from flight of the valiant to this video are very noticeable!
Everything looked insane! The models are detailed, the action is tight and the perfect lighting is just put everything together really great!! This is just Incredible, guy!
Wow! Utterly amazing! Keep up the great work!
Hey Matt!!
Damn that star destroyer captain is smart to place a tracking beacon on that ship. This is getting very interesting and can't wait to see more.
Also is just me or has the quality of videos improved as if they already weren't impressive enough. Keep up the good work guys 💖
Holy moly the lighting makes these look like actual models rather than CG amazing job
This is phenomenal!!! It feels like watching a segment from an official Star Wars movie
I myself am a huge fan of Star Wars starfighters and this video brought so much to me. Not many people can make this kind of work and effort on an amazing piece like this!
As Vader would say: “Impressive. Most Impressive!” 👏👏👏👏
This was amazing, I can’t believe this is a fan made film.
For a second I thought the beginning was from the movie, you really are that good. Thanks for making incredible scenes like this, it now a part of my headcanon!
As expected it’s nice
“They may have escaped us here, but they have only prolonged the inevitable. Good work, Interceptor Pilot. They will lead us to more of their friends, as well. Alert all commands, rally the fleet.”
I've been waiting for this video for a long time... Thanks Ryan! In your videos, the models look very lively!
I mean... This is the most modern Star Wars a fan film has ever Star War'sd. 11/10
AMAZING
One of the many things I love about these shorts, are the fighter pilots trying to avoid flying through explosions whenever they can instead of doing a Hollywood and flying straight through.
Man this is really good
A 2:05 minute video and I'm more excited then I was for they entire rey trilogy
Your work never fails to astound me!
I hope in the future for maybe some Clone Wars Era space battles in this animation eventually!
"Is the tracking beacon on board there ship?" "Yes Moff Yittreas... there be no escape this time, they are heading to your Krant System..." "Ahh, good, Ill give them a warm welcome when they arrive..."
Imagine these guys, Darth Angelus, and unreal cinema teamed up.
One say. Plus add in Unreal Captures, his Republic Commando video is amazing.
The attention to detail with that upper right thruster being dimmer to show degraded operation is so good.
Man it was so good. Definitely has the quality to be in a Star Wars show/movie
This video just made EVERY nerd gasm. The beauty of the models, the realistic action, the PERFECT SFX.
I don't know what you do for a day job, but if this isn't it, it feels like your talents are waisted.
Damn dude, nice job
Why is it that fan projects can make ships feel more physical and present than official studios?
Unless you used miniatures, then you have absolutely nailed making 3D have the visual weight of "reality" that CGI has long striven for. This is fantastic
The one person who disliked this was definitely jealous.
it was the Empire itself
Kathleen acolyte probably.... or a trekkie😄
@@jason-vv6kv Probably Kathleen herself. And in the current state that Trek is in, why wouldn't a Trekkie enjoy this!
Probably J. J. Abrams...
it was a tie pilot
Really like the look of the Ralph McQuarrie style ISD!
There is more emotion in these two minutes than in the entire Disney trilogy.
Hay mas emoción en estos dos minutos que en toda la trilogía de Disney.
Hollywood should really take notice of all the great fan made videos. They could learn a few things. 🖖
Love it. It’s like fans are throwing the middle finger at Disney.
The way you highlight the lesser-known ships of Star Wars is wonderful.
That’s EC Henry go to his channel
Hey man, submit this to Star Wars theory! On Monday’s podcast he announced a fan film contest! He and others will judge them on July 4th!
Yeah seriously!!! This deserves the attention.
"Do it!"
@swtheory ..
I cannot believe how good these are! Thanks for sharing them.
Very nice but too short xD
DAYUM!! The camera work, different perspectives from first to third, animation of it all. You did a stand-up job man!
Whoever's in charge of Star Wars these days... should definitely hire you guys, and give you full freedom in whatever you want to make.
I don't know why but the tracking beacon landing on the ship looked really realistic to me like if you threw a magnet on a surface of metal.
What I love with this is the sparing use of stuff like shaky cam. The shots let you actually see what the hell is going on and you can feel the tension well. Would utterly kill for battles like this in the official movies more :/
The quaility of this work is just beyond words. Bravo.
That view from inside the cockpit of the X-Wing is simply incredible :) Anyone flying a starfighter or similar craft IRL would have the biggest balls of steal lol
Fascinating, such detail, I must say, if the star wars community that makes such fine models didn't exist I think the world would be a much more sad place, but the way you executed this...it is beyond my greatest compliment I can give
The little details like the blast bolt glow on the star destroyer hull are especially nice, complimented by some great camera choices
It just keeps getting better and better...
It's everything I love in Star Wars, and it even tantalizes for more!
Wow... the graphics have this sort of "glow" to it that makes them very pleasant to the eyes... awesome animation as always, and a step up from the previous videos, I think
Beautifully in-keeping with the SW universe we love, and full of excitement and drama!
This "model kit" feeling is NEEEEEAAAAAT
It's an outsdanding job. I'll keep watching!!!
Absolutely amazing! Loved the appearance of Henry’s larger Correlian Corvette!
Awesome!! Thank you so much for your work! 🙏🏻👏👏👏
Cantwell's destroyer has never looked better, I hope in the near future it gets canonized. Great work!
I love seeing Lighter Warships like Corvettes and Light Cruisers seeing more action, Great Job!!!
Well, at least they put a homing beacon on one of the Corvettes, but MAN is the Emperor going to be steamed when he hears about this.
Incredible work!!! Keep it up!
honestly, a new skyforge fan film gets me just as excited, if not more, than official star wars stuff
Love the speed of the fighters here.
If only this had a live action bit amended to it, still the best star wars content I've seen in a while
Jesus christ! This is probably the best looking visual effects I have seen in a fan film. Great job!
This has better acting than all the sequel movies combined.
Amen!
Better done and more exciting than 10,000 Star Destroyers that didn't know how to go UP on that last movie.
I jumped out of bed and ran to my computer after seeing this in my youtube feed. You guys not only create the most imazing visuals but also edit them together in a way that really flows and makes the world believable. I would LOVE to see actual characters within the ships though. I reckon that would be the last step in making it Star Wars and honestly, shouldn't be difficult considering your.talent and expertise in CG. Keep it up Skyforge!!!
Utterly superb! It is literally cinema!
The more I see the Arquitens-Class the more I love it.
The last shot was breathtaking! Remarkable work, absolutely loved it
This might be my favorite one yet! Great work.
Straight-up Rogue One quality! Great job, SkyForge team!
These models look so good, almost like physical models!
Your best work so far by far! It really has that rogue one feel, especially in the movements of the fighters. Genuinely excellent.
When I saw that ISD I was like "What the hell is wrong with that ISD" Amazing job! Gives me memories from when I first saw a new hope.
Grand Moff Tarkin:"You're sure that homing beacon is securely aboard their ship?"
I was always disappointed we never got to see small skirmishes and battles in the rebellion because it is Star Wars thank you
Man, this looks good. The star destroyer made the canon part of me try to identify it, until I realized that this was your take on a star destroyer. Can’t wait to see more!
This looks so GOOD! the spacecraft movements seem so real and visceral, you've really nailed the feel of R1 level space combat! And the interior shot of the cockpit looking out? That was perfection. The lighting and render are just superb. So well done!
Woah, you should be extremely proud of the quality of work here. You're giving ILM a run for their money!!!
Amazing, the original Star Destroyer how it should have looked like! All of it looks stunning!
This is so fantastic. Thank you for this. Brought back emotions of watching the original trilogy with my Dad.
More please thank you! Amazing work guys! An absolute blast of a video!
