I just watched a video about people no longer liking star wars because of the constant fanbase arguing. Watching this just puts so much hope in me, amazing job!
This was really really good man. First time I have ever seen a pilot actually ejecting out of an x-wing, which was awesome to see. Thanks for doing this. These fan films are where it's at. Great work.
@@ZaneOlson Well in space it's more dangerous, esp. with battle debris flying all around and the pilot in just a flight suit. Then you have to hope your side can recover you before your air runs out, or pray that the other wants you as a prisoner and won't just leave you out there. So most just go down with the ship. ( also TiE's also have ejections systems )
It has to be said. On top of your gorgeous imagery and 3d rendering, your capture of cinematic principals to tell your story without a single line of dialogue is top notch. First video I've seen of yours, but clearly, you know what you're doing and how to do it. It takes your art to a whole new level knowing how to deliver this style. I'm just starting to look at Unreal, Unity and/or Blender to start animation in video production, and your video is a gold standard. Nicely done.
Hats off to you. The massive statues carved out of the rock was really imaginative and should belong in something with a huge budget. Stellar creative work.
Fun! Hard not to really enjoy X-wing vs TIE fighter or a desert planetscape with stuff flying through. Love the statues stuff. Part of what I really enjoy about the concepts in Star Wars is the idea that whatever civilization is current in the story is just using the tech from eons ago and that there may be lost ancient stuff everywhere just as there seems to be here on earth!) so kudos for keeping that feeling alive in this. You are solidly inspiring my continued learning of Blender.
You deserve a thousand likes already alone for actually making sure there is no sound in space. Only when they entered the atmosphere. Such a subtle yet amazingly well done effect.
Admittedly I’m not much of a Star Wars fan but this is absolutely incredible!!! I would never guess that this wasn’t professionally made by a big studio! Bravo!!!!
The dogfight was really kinetic, I kept thinking "this asshole should put his S-foils in attack position" and when he did, it was sick as hell. Really made me feel the tension, and I'm a sucker for improbable flight maneuvers.
Wow! I would for sure recommend you to send this to Disney as open solicitation since it's so incredibly well made! The graphics, the speed, the details, actually all is Star Wars genuine so well done. Can't wait to see the other parts!
Great work! This was one of the few times watching any Star Wars film that it felt like the speed and the movements of the ships during a dog fight felt "real"! It wasn't over edited, just the right amount of chaos. Most films will add too many unrealistic camera placements and moves to the point where it becomes boring to watch. This one had me wanting more.
Liked and subscribed and I jut even a big SW fan. This was exactly…EXACTLY the level of content that is needed to keep people on the edge of their seats. Now I cannot wait to see Part 2. Bravo, the legend of your efforts will bring balance to the franchise. This is excellent! Thank you.
This is top tier work. Your composition is excellent, camera work, animation... about as close to perfect as one can get! I'm just now starting to play around with Blender, and seeing stuff like this drives home just how powerful of a tool it can be. That couple with such obvious creator talent and skill... yeah, great work!
I LOVED the fact that you muted the sounds in space! It's so much better! I've always been wondering why they have been using the same audio in space and on planets, since the Lightspeed Scene in Episode VIII. This Episode didn't do much right, but this was awesome and so is your Fan-Film!!!
Brilliantly done! The lack of engine and flight sounds from the X Wings, prior to entering the planet's outer atmosphere, was beautifully, and subtlety impactful. Keep doing what you do!
Rarely comment but had to here to say well done and thank you. Obviously a passion project, takes far more time that what appears on screen , and was done in the midst of everything else going on in your life. Very well done, a heartfelt gesture to the franchise/fans, and something to be proud of. You did it! You made a contribution to SW and it is [ROTJ Emperor voice] "gooooooood." But seriously, well done -- and thank you. =)
This was amazing ! Not once did a shot break my immersion, as someone that does a lot of blender animations I know you put your life force into this haha, Keep it up !
Awesome! Congratulations. It is an amazing and perfect work. X-wings entering the atmosphere! Never seen before! Great touch of quality! The force is with you. The Blender force!
I really liked how the X-Wing pilot actually used tactics which were/are used by atmospheric fighters while in atmosphere. I especially appreciated the realism you brought the fight, the way the changing acceleration actually moved the pilots body! Great Job! The downside is... that solar system is an absolute mess... there is just too many massive things in close proximity to be realistic (the gravity would have destroyed them or kicked them out of the system a very long time ago).
Part 2 is out here: ua-cam.com/video/UAKfQX8Gz4k/v-deo.html

Currently it has more upvotes on Reddit than here on Yiutube.
Disney will flag it and take all monetization like theyve done with other fan films though

Yup. That eject was awesome. The stall was icing on the cake.

Really like the unique touches of no sound in space, pilot that actually ejects, and rapid danger of ISD.
The quality is insane, wow.
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it

I really liked the effect of everything being silent until the x-wing entered the atmosphere it was pulled off really well!
Next best thing in the absence of a Rogue Squadron movie!
So nice to watch a Star Wars film with original music. Thank you.

The attention to detail such as no sound in space and the reentry heat was nice.
Can we all take a moment and really appreciate that sweet stash

That was some great flying! Good to see that kind of talent in the Republic was more common.
What an amazing video!! Thanks for this!
Nice simple story line, done well. Tight graphics. One of the better attempts to replicate atmospheric flight. I look forward to more of your work.

The use of a physical parachute fits Star Wars surprisingly well!

The sequence where he cut the engine to use gravity and get behind the TIE is my favorite.
