    Thanks for all the thoughts and feedback! We're pretty pleased with how the performance turned out! Originally we were just going to do a run through of some sounds but, at the last minute, after talking to the Behringer team, it was agreed that we would actually do some songs, since there would ultimately be a million and one demo videos out there. So we had to choose 3 of our songs to strip down to a minimal synth and vocal part. It was quite terrifying, to say the least!

      A really fantastic demonstration of the synth. What great sounds you pulled out of it! This is the best demo I have seen of it yet. Are you only using the on-board reverb? Because it is wonderful.
      Also, good singing :)

      Yes, just the on-board effects. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks again!

    FINALLY! A video where REAL musicians are playing the synth. I am so sick of watching videos with non-musician-button-pushing-knob-twiddling-one-note-operators talking endlessly about specs. Its 2016. We know how to look up the specs ourselves. THANK YOU VILE ELECTRODES FOR PLAYING THE SYNTH AND SHARING HOW IT INSPIRED YOU !!! :) PS - I loved how you played with the parameters in real time incorporating them into the performance of the song. Bravo!

    I really liked that you could hear the different resonances of each voice at the end of the second song, even the voices that were in unison. Really cool that there was a stereo separation and it felt as if the envelopes were slightly different. Really neat orchestral sound to it.

      Well, I guess that shows the differences people can have in what they consider beautiful. Personally, I couldn't make it to the two-minute mark. Which is disappointing, because from what I have heard so far, this new board may be a complete game-changer for analogue-lovers with not-so-deep pockets. From what I have heard this could replace all three of my vintage keys. Bearing in mind, I usually only play keys for writing, or personal recording in my studio-not so much live, as I am primarily a guitarist and bassist. But I think even I could fool 90% of a half-drunken audience with this new toy.

    Ok I dont know how to focus my thoughts and to write it down. A comment have to be short but million things are runnng through my head.First Unbelievable only one Synth no other Instruments or Percussion and the first song that they performed generate tears in my eyes its so impressive and it shows perfectly that Vile Electrodes didnt make music to earn money they make music for people like me. And they make music because they have to do its important for them like drinking and eating.I am so impressed and sorry if this comment turn into a novel.Some people think electronic music is easy to do, press one button and in a couple of minutes ready. This video shows what it is its work. Jane and Martin are really nervous and excited remarkable for such great Artists Thank you

    As an amateur who occasionally does an open mic night I can appreciate what you have to go through to be your own sound crew and set up impromptu situations.
    Respect to these 2 to being given a task to bundle a product demo into a performance and rolling with it. Nice to see the gear played and the controls on it used in the flow of entire songs beyond a few moments of plinking.

      Genau DAS stört mich ebenfalls! // True story, bro... And another octave full of keys (61 instead of 49) would have been nice as well. But I guess this is what comes out as a result when economic students design a synthesizer that is supposed to stay inside a certain price range (in this case around 1.000 EUR or US-Dollars) by any means.

    Hi Vile Electrodes, when you played and tested DeepMind, pasts 3 years. Now, Roland released Jupiter XM and I'm in dilemma, but first of all I'm sad that this synth is gone not so good in the synth crowd and the market. Why is that, because its Behringer? Very important for me and my band (not in obsessive way), that DeepMind is analog! Now I'm researching new digital Jupiter XM and X soon... it looks cool and have plenty interesting functions, sound is great, good synth - but, so expensive! If you have time to answer me on this question considering new released Roland Jupiter XM: Is it better to buy this analog and more money affordable but good synth DeepMind, or go chasing this new stuff just because its Roland, Korg, etc. just because they are more practical, smaller, built with better quality material, better screen than DeepMind, etc....??? Thanks in advance and you're great! Lejla, Evolucija Zvuka.

    Behringer needs to fix the way the sliders work so that they don't jump between values if you load a patch and the slider isn't near the loaded value. I hate those jumps.
    But Christ, does this thing not sound great? This video dispelled any doubts I had.

    • @VileElectrodes
      @VileElectrodes 7 років тому +3

      Hey, thanks for the nice words. It does actually HAVE that functionality, but we've only had the prototype synth a very short time (with no manual) so forgot to use it. Well that, and the fact that doing songs instead of just doing a sound demo was a bit impromptu! :)

    • @DivKid
      @DivKid 7 років тому +1

      there's behaviour settings for the sliders. They can pick up when the slider passes through the setting or jump when touched. So you can set the behaviour how you want.

    well done, especially on the last track...that arp is deliciously musical, reminds me of the whip the dw8000/juno-60 have on their arps. sold them synths as otherwise didn't do too much for me but those arps were lovely.
    i ordered the deepmind, should arrive next week, for droney soundtrack work, 12 analog voices is ideal! mostly been using the dx7, polysix, k-station and virus so the behringer will be new(ish) territory.
    also really enjoyed the singing, strong presence, tho' the intonation is a little too precise, losing some of the inherent musicality she naturally has in her voice, and the mouthful-word "proximity" was a bit jarring. just some friendly feedback :)
    cheers for the really useful demo and all the best with the new album!

    I'm quite frankly a bit underwhelmed by this video. No doubt there's lots of talent and skill at work, but trying to make it both a regular performance and a synth demo, makes it kinda fail at both.
    As a straight up performance it's too lightweight, not enough going on, no doubt an attempt to not drown the synth out.
    And as a synth demo there's not enough different sounds and tweaking, and her voice dominates too much.
