Hi Dr.Mix, You can't imagine how flattered I am to see not only the UVI headquarters in a Tour by you, but also to know that you enjoyed seeing the miniatures I made for them in 2019, which were 53 in total, that were used to produce a promotional video for the UVI Vintage Vault 3 collection. I'm very happy for posting this article and to make part of it, and of course to Allain Etchart who who I met here in Sao Paulo-Brasil in 2019 especially to collect all the miniatures in person. Thank you very much!
@Doctor Mix EVO, I found this on a search "The evo is a pure keyboard controller that is connected to a computer via an Ethernet interface, and that communicates via Midi, OSC or our own in-house protocol with synthesizers, sequencers or similar. The keys are the special feature here. Every single key is equipped with a sensor that allows evo to read the finger position on a certain area of the key surface. Thus, every key offers, in addition to pitch and velocity, an additional level of polyphonic data input that can be used for continuous control of independent notes."
Ah, I get it now! This is what Touchkeys was doing. I have a controller with a Touchkeys kit applied, but unfortunately they're no longer made so spares won't be available in the future. I bought an Osmose and a Linnstrument instead...
They need the Colossus at an old school rave with a mad genius (or a group) and throwing down hours long sets. Looks like the possibilities are endless on that thing.
Those miniature synth models are by Ronaldo Lopez Teixeira who has a UA-cam channel. I have his models of the MiniMoog, VCS3/DK2 keyboard, Prophet Ten and Vox Continental organ, they're brilliantly detailed.
What an amazing playground... love it! Enjoy seeing all the modular stuff, had no idea Analogue Solutions did something like the Colossus. I remember them from the early Eurorack days, they were one of the established players when I jumped into the game with my modules. One of my earliest inspirations to get started. That thing is a beast! Great jams.
3:00 no it doesn't make sense, if you stuck voices you will need to lower the volume at some point, so signal to noise ratio will be practically the same.
Found an old article on Synthtopia about the Evo with links to a video demonstrating it. “The Endeavour Evo Keyboard, described as the world’s first keyboard with touch sensitive keys, now has a synthesizer, Evosizer.” Seems pretty advanced for 12 years ago.
Thank you for this. Love seeing all these cool synths and even better to see and hear them being played. Hans Zimmer has a Colossus like that. It’s a “Double Colossus” which is the Classic Colossus with a Colossus Slim on top. I believe there are about 60 or so of the Classics, obviously fewer of the Double. You can also get the Colossus broken up into 4 cabinets in the Quartz version. It’s such an amazing synth. And, kind of polyphonic colossus would be Analogue Solutions Maximus, which to me is the modern Oberheim EVS. It’s enormous in size and sound. :)
I looked at the preview image of the video and thought it was a homeless person pointing at a shabby bulletin board. But it turns out it's not a bulletin board but a synthesizer))) hahaha
Next time you go to paris you need to really spend some time at Sainte Sulpice (Widor's organ) or Sacre Coeur (cesar Franck) or La Trinite (Guilmant.) A Cavaille-Coll organ will blow your mind!
Woooow! The look inside the UVI development was nice, it really shows what comes into making the software and that for each instrument in the software the actual synth has to be sourced. The repair shop was the ultimate candy shop. I don't know what I liked the most, the Prophet 8T, the dirty sounds from the Prophet 20, the DX1 or the hardcore set on the Colossus. In the Netherlands the 240bpm part is described as "Hakkuh" in the gabber house scene of the 1990s.
I stumbled out of Anthony's studio and into Fabio's.. We are fortunate to have them. I still have the shivers from the first visit to Rob's collection.. I had never seen anything like it.
19:29 90's rave scene, for sure... Sounds like you would be a huge Ron D. Core fan 💥 Here I was thinking you just emptied your wallet on that awesome beast of a machine. Always a pleasure, my friend! 🐧
The biggest synth I ever saw, (and had the chance to play,) was the EMS Synthi100 'Delaware' used in the BBC radiophonic workshop back in the 1970's. It was a monster!
I love the history of these mammoths. However, I’m amazed to be able to say that I have overcome my hankering to own any of them. What I wish I could do was build my own. I would love to build something that had 2 keyboard manuals like an organ and both a digital synthesis engine like that of the SY77 and an analog polyphonic engine like the OB-Xa
i think it would be smart to use a diode like apa102c for synths, although it might cost a little more the layout would be really simple and it is quite easy to program. And multicolor.
At the 27:46 min mark it sounds like Logan's Run. Dr. Mix should have yelled out at that marker point "There is no'ooo sanctuary! Logan 5 please identify!"
Having the patch matrix at the bottom of the colossus you can see that the Synthi 100 has had a big influence also the sequencer bank modules remind me of the ARP2500
The restauration shop is very very kind and smart. They fixed yesterday my TB303 so well that i immediatly give other gear to fix ! A very good adress for electronic instrument !
That's a place I need to visit, but they would need a team to drag me away from their Oberheims. Never seen a PPG Wave 2 before - only the 2.2 and 2.3. Great video!
You got to go back and do a video on the Colossus only. IMHO it's the coolest analog synth ever. [Edited] Claudio, you need to get in touch with Analogue Solutions and pay them a visit. I am positive they will be happy to.
🚀 Check out the UVI's incredible Quadra Modular 👉 www.uvi.net/quadra-modular?ruf=110 🕹
Great Episode!

@@LouWiss Thank you! Regards
@@Siralantoon Thank you, I appreciated! Regards.
I love your miniatures! Is there anywhere they are available for purchase? I would love them for the studio!!

That Colossus is amazing, I like the jam you did on it.
In fact Christian Henson (ex Spitfire Audio, Top Gear theme song composer) has a Colossus. But then again, he has EVERYTHING.
Starsky Carr had access to one recently and did some videos, excellent stuff.

"This is a Prophet-20. It goes all the way to 20. That's 10 more than a Prophet-10. 15 more than a Prophet 5." ~ Nigel Tufnel probably
The string patch on the Prophet T8 is glorious.
Absolutely!! The T-8 is majestic !!
I have one of their most basic VST sequencers and it's brilliant, now I most come back to them for more.
formidable video! Merci pour ce voyage extraordinaire au pays des passionnés ! bravo
I went there a couple months ago! amazing place. Got to try out a juno for the first time!
HELL. YES. Love what you did with the Colossus.
That Prophet 20 with that customized expander on it is nothing but a dream come true!! VERY WELL DESIGNED!!!
YEs, the PRophet 20 is unbelievable !!!

You are in Paris, cool, take the train to Grenoble to visit Arturia 🖖
Colossus. What an amazing machine!
The Colossus Sythesizer is so amazing. WOW
Its so cool! Amazing trip! 🎹
3:00 no it doesn't make sense, if you stuck voices you will need to lower the volume at some point, so signal to noise ratio will be practically the same.
WOW amazing video, thank you for opening us up to the UVI headquarters !
Incredible instruments with incredible sounds. Thanks for posting this. Cheers from Cincinnati, USA
WOW! That's SO COOL!!!!!
This video has opened my eyes to so many synths I've never seen before!!!
Oh, that Prophet 20 is AWESOME! I'd love to try it. What a sound.
That Prophet-20 was incredible. The sound was really organic.
Doctor Mix, You've done it again!
Thank you so much for rescuing my mood today!
17:40 Nitzer Ebb industrial style with hint of DAF.
Since your first video you made, this one with UVI is one of the top 5 videos you have published, Huge! thanks for sharing it with the normal mortals.

Love the knobs on the Colossus! Never seen lighted knobs!
What a Jam on the Colossus!!
Every show with a DX1 is a good show. Thank you very much.

You're a blessed man .... Doctor Mix! Congrats on your Good Fortune!!!
What a great collection of synths. I'm new to the synth world and this was eye opening. Thanks.
Great video. All the synths are awesome 👊
Amazing strings quartet sound....from Prophet T8!!!! AMAZING!
That's true. I also wondered how real it sounded.
Absolutely amazing! That Colossus is the most amazing synth I have ever seen. I Know you had a hard time leaving that studio. Great Video Doctor Mix!
the way he asked to have a go on the prophet20 was the best!
I looked at the preview image of the video and thought it was a homeless person pointing at a shabby bulletin board. But it turns out it's not a bulletin board but a synthesizer))) hahaha
Ahjm. Analog solutions collusus can be bought if you have £ 27 000. The original EMS is the one whcih is rare.
Just bought that new Quadra Synth......UVI hit that out of the park seriously!!! DAMN NICE!!!
Best moment: "the small one" (Colossus) 😛🎹
Awesome journey, thank you!
Nice i heard liquid engineers by Gary Numan on the Prophet :))))
The miniature synths looks great! Also, they would fit in my tiny home studio. I want those! :D
Channeling your inner Alan Parsons at the end there. Very impressive.
This really makes me want to build my own analog one of these days

Wow Anthony M and the Doctor live streaming on the same day. I’ve must have been a good boy! 😃
I stumbled out of Anthony's studio and into Fabio's..

Amazing! I think need to visit Paris.
So much good gear, so little time. UVI make great VST's.
world class content as usual!
Et dire que je ne savais pas qu'une boutique comme Vintages synths existait à côté de chez moi ! 🤘👍🤘 Thanks Doctor !
Wood with synthesizer is gorgeous
Hands down i choose The Colossus. lol Most beautiful sounding and looking. 🙏
I think Colossal is a great fit for Dr Mix!
I know this is UVI, but I saw the SW 3P-2020 in a catalog and now I really want one of those
0:42 This is the most beautiful synthesizer in the world. This white version. 🤩
The biggest synth I ever saw, (and had the chance to play,) was the EMS Synthi100 'Delaware' used in the BBC radiophonic workshop back in the 1970's. It was a monster!
Rarest? I see it on YT as often as my Moog Model D 😂 good stuff! (More Model D is also appreciated Claudio!)
Ciekawy sprzęt . Dzięki Dr Mix
24:49 - One of McCartney's best.
You had me when I heard the melody in the intro 😆🖤

Wowie Zowie, what fun!!!
That jam was amazing,
wow the delay on the 8 insane that you pulled it out honestly
super merci dr mix et voila
The Colossus would look impressive in the DJ booth at the disco. Resembles a mad scientist doing experiments.
Очень интересное видео, огромное спасибо за работу 👍👋👋👋♥🎹
uvi the best in the world you cant beat uvi
i think it would be smart to use a diode like apa102c for synths, although it might cost a little more the layout would be really simple and it is quite easy to program. And multicolor.
Hi Doctor Mix - Спасибо за обзор новых необычных инструментов. Колосс - прикольная конечно штука, и клавиатура очень интересно выглядит. Лайк👍🙂
The Colossus is amazing! You channelled you inner Nitzer Ebb on that thing lol 😂
At the 27:46 min mark it sounds like Logan's Run. Dr. Mix should have yelled out at that marker point "There is no'ooo sanctuary! Logan 5 please identify!"
Thanks so much Doc X
Watching you be giddy on the Colossus was fantastic! 😂
This thing is so Gothic/Industrial = I love it!
Can anyone tell me what the music playing at 3:12 is please? Doctor Mix has used it on other videos before, I absolutely love it!!
Doctor Mix in-house production. Unreleased :)
@@Doctormix What a tease - you must release it! :-)
Dr. Mix, you are entitled. Hope you are gratefull.
I am, and I am 🙏
Welcome in Paris Dr Mix 😊
19:29 The moment Dr.Mix found discovered gabber
That's a place I need to visit, but they would need a team to drag me away from their Oberheims. Never seen a PPG Wave 2 before - only the 2.2 and 2.3. Great video!
GR-UVI!🎉
Haha brilliant ❤
As always like a kid on a Christmas morning :)
this was supercool thanks claudio
he plays the synth on his knees, maybe a detail for you but for him it means a lot
Michel Berger ?
Colossale Performance, Dr. Colossus :)
Doctor in da Mix... ...as always, a beautiful energetic video............would've been more great though if Jean Michel Jarre accidentally walked in
That DX-1 is sooooo beautiful 😃
A paradise dear Claudio
❤❤❤Hi Dr Mix, you're so incredible, thanks, love U Serge
I think you need to get that Colossus synth right away, Dr. Mix... :)
Okay Claudio Star Trek u da man!
These videos are gold
Perhaps someone should build a sudio in Paris too, just round the corner. 😄
You got to go back and do a video on the Colossus only. IMHO it's the coolest analog synth ever. [Edited] Claudio, you need to get in touch with Analogue Solutions and pay them a visit. I am positive they will be happy to.
Starsky Carr's got a recent video with it, good stuff!
