Mounting the handle bars is one of the easiest task your have to do when order a Chinese scooter online. A process that shouldn't take you no more than 5-10 minutes. But in case you are not sure what piece to use or what does where here's a quick video for little help.

For future reference, use Threadlocker Blue instead of Red. Red is for high-heat applications, Blue is for anything likely to be disassembled/reassembled. You'll need an impact wrench to remove those nuts if you ever have to disassemble the handlebars.

I noticed that as well. However the Chinese scooter is just a starter scooter. I don't plan on it being my main scooter. So I won't be doing a lot of disassembled and reassembled on it.

Have you seen a scooter/moped that allows the steering column to be closer to the driver? I’m looking into a way for me to get around more but my elbows hurt too much for me to hold my arms away from my body for extended periods of time. All scooters and mopeds require sustained reaching and I can’t find an alternative. I don’t want to use a golf cart as they are so big & bulky. Thank you for your time.

You don't have to apply thread lock to the male threads. You can apply to the female threads. Apply to the nut at the top most, apply to bolt and minimal spillage. One drop should me more than enough, considering the amount it will spread as you spin it.

I’m having trouble getting the bolt to fully tighten against the nut as the nut seems to stop the bolt from going through. Is that normal? I can’t quite see in your video if there is a gap left after you have tightened your bolt fully.
