Thank you sir! I bought a Pony last week, followed your vid (props to your camera people!) and today I’m on the road. Everything came together perfectly. You’ve done the Lord’s work here my friend!
Before starting do an oil change, with some decent oil to run it in, who knows what oil they use, there is no filter so decent oil and regular changes will help you get your bike to where you actually wear out the tyres
I recommend to ride the bike for approximately 75-100 miles with the motor oil it is shipped with in order to properly break it in. Afterwards I recommend a high performance motorcycle oil that has no synthetic in it either 10w 30 or 10w 40 grade and then every 700-1000 miles after that.
I bought a TaoTao 49cc scooter from a drop-ship company in the midwest 6 years ago. I never received a Certificate of Origin. I haven't been able to license it because of this. What can I do? I tried contacting them when I first bought it, but they refused to answer my phone calls or emails.
Awesome video. I just assembled mine, and a circuit part is loose with some loose wires. Customer support is of no help as they don’t answer the call and didn’t return to my voice message. Any video explaining the appropriate wiring attachments for this product? Thanx
Man my Tao Tao shutdown when I turned on. It some kind of cold start + lost power when Im riding. After a wild goes normal but the shutdown has me annoyed a couple of times
Thanks, this should be helpful. Sadly, mine didn't seem to come with that bag full of parts nor the CD that was under the seat. I wasn't sure where things were, then I started to watch your video and when I saw you open that I thought I found a treasure trove until I went out and opened mine and just found the mirrors and owner's manual. So, I guess I just sit and wait until they send me the rest.
great set up video but here is my take and my friends too it does matter who makes the 49cc scooters it is not the quality here they are out dated there time has come to get them off the road too slow for our times now people drive faster and there are more cars on the road and drivers are texting and drivers are not patient at all so the scooters are way to slow of the stop line drivers hate them they aware at you the through things at you and give you the finger nice hu so now you ride on the side of the road and now you are now riding in ROAD SHIT road shit is all the stuff that ends up on the side of the road you know those drunks at night that through their bottles out the window so you can ride in the glass and get a flat yup that is why they do it and the secondary roads are not designed to have a car and scooter side by side and drivers text now and they move a little to the right and Bammm there mirror hits you these are the things do not tell you but I am and my friends agree my riding group had a party we junked our 49 cc scooters in the crusher they went we now have 150cc scooters all problems solved that easy 49cc do not belong on our roadways maybe 45 years ago but time have changed buy smart ride safe and if you ride a 49 cc scooter I hope they do not through a banana at you or an egg
It is real important that you stop twisting an flopping that steering head assembly around like you are, You are going to create all kinds of electrical issues.
I know you've put probably a hundreds of these things together but why you just slamming and throwing s*** all over the place I mean I'm an auto body mechanic and I don't even do that by the time you get done with it it's going to have micro scratches on it you're going to have to polish that that's more work
The body panels on these scooters is a cheap plastic the Chinese fail to clean the injection molding equipment that produces these properly there are many imperfections and dimples on the plastic I assure you that the amount of handling I did and the way that I did it left no visible marks at all.
You are being way to rough with it and all this extra stuff is pointless I also assemble these things and I feel your doing it completely wrong in some places

As he says in video it's good to top it off
Will i need to buy oil for it?
Yes you need oil. If you want it to last the oil it ships with should not be ran. 15w40 diesel engine oil works great in these.

Someone also said change the gear oil too
There is an oil filter on the drain plug for the engine oil
@@tylerescobar159 not really a fllter, more like a strainer, a filter you replace after x amount of miles, a strainer you clean
@@debeeriz ok yea true

That really sucks . You can try to do it through Vermont DMV.
You will have to do a lost title just give the DMV the Vin or frame number off the scooter
What carb idle did you set after the 5min running
He'll never tell

My handle bars are not aligned with the front tier is there anyway you can help with that
