Everybody was complaining Obi Wan looked too old in ANH. He was meant to be 57, and Alec Guinness was 64, so that seems fine. BUT Luke is supposed to be roughly 53, but Mark Hamill is 64, going 65. Big difference. I just wanted to get that out.

Obi Wan and Luke both spent 19 years on Tatioone. Since Tatioone had binary Suns, it ages your skin a lot faster and makes you appear to look older. Both Obi Wan and Luke spent a lot of time outdoors, as Luke was farming and Obi Wan was looking after him. This explains why they look older than they actually are and why Luke looks like he's in his mid twenties in ANH.

You mentioned Rey's training being your most anticipated event for E VIII. My most anticipated event would be what happens with Kylo Ren in regards to Hux retrieving him & how Snoke handles his inability to defeat Rey. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Ren & Hux. You can tell neither one likes the other. It's like two siblings competing for their parents affection/attention.

+Jinmuu Shuihuotu That & I'm interested to see just how ruthless Snoke is. Will he cast Ren aside for his failings? Leaving him a torn and broken man or will he actually complete his training? If Snoke were to cut him lose for his failings that would essentially leave him as a man with no home. He can't go back to the resistance after the events of VII + all his previous atrocity's. It'll create a dynamic we've yet to see in the movies. That being a powerful force user with no clear allegiance. Could be interesting.
+Court Lively Well, actually, Snoke told Ren to bring her to him...so, he was kind of hamstrung by this order....he couldn't defeat her because he had been ordered to bring her to Snoke...unless of course you mean defeat without killing her. If not, he would have not been able to use his full abilities, which would have set him at a disadvantage in the contest.

+Owen Twombley Was thinking the same myself. Maybe, like the castle, the casino is hers. The potential amount of wealth a force sensitive pirate can accumulate over 1000 years is staggering. Then again, maybe a casino is too high profile for her. It is highly likely that its ran by a criminal organization as most casinos are depicted in fiction. Maybe we'll get the first big screen appearance of Black Sun.
+The Stupendous Wave I was thinking the same thing, as she was in a bar/crowded area before in episode 7 so may be in a similar environment. She also has possible extensive knowledge & experience of the Force, Yoda & numerous events so would be someone Luke would likely want to speak with...just a thought :)

i could see Luke training Rey for a while because he learned not to rush training after leaving Yoda in episode 5.

Great video! It would be an interesting surprise if Lando showed up....or even if he doesn't, just seeing Luke looking for him would bring back some nostalgic memories.
Love your idea of having it be a flashback between Luke and Han, even if it is unlikely.
It being a flashback would be the case if it happens to be Han in the Casino.
I just want to see how powerful Luke has gotten over the years since RoTJ. The dude seems to have gained some serious knowledge in the Force given how intensely he stared at Rey at the end of TFA.
Luke hit his head, and is still looking for Leia to give her the Death Star Plans.
Somehow, they manage to make yet another New Hope re-remake, with an all new droid, plans, and death star.

+sk8ter4fun My biggest hope for her has always been the legitimacy of the big screen. Especially when I learned a bunch of new Star Wars films were in the making. So we can hope. It's possible and it would be awesome if they gave her that. But I'm not really expecting it. her not being a Jedi gives her a lot of leeway to have survived through the original trilogy and beyond. She'd be 70. Idk how long Togruata's live but, as I said in the comments on another vid, Count Dooku was dueling Yoda and holding his own at 87. So who knows? lol
Here's an idea: what if Luke is seeking out a former student of his? Assuming his Jedi temple has been around for quite some time, it would make sense that Luke would have trained a few Jedi Knights. As such, maybe after the temple's destruction they all went their separate ways. And as such. Luke is inspired to locate them. Though, I admit this does raise some questions. But we'll wait and see.

My best friends mum is a puppeteer working on 8 (this scene was filmed at Pinewood) and has managed to steal a couple of casino chips.
Given that the director of Episode 8 is Looper's Rian Johnson, I think it would be strange if there was no flashback. Maybe even a flash forward.

It would make a lot of sense for Luke looking for lando considering that Lando is a renowned gambler having won most if not all of his personal items and other things like winning his way into being leader of cloud city

This is the part where Luke tells Lando that Han is gone then Old smoothie acts like he's sadden by the news but deep down gets excited. Now gets his chance to finally show his son Fin to get get out of the friend zone and score with Rey. Meanwhile Old Smoothie gets his chance to finally score with Leia.

1) How would Lando help Luke? 2) Han was not the first person we have seen falling to their supposed death and survived.. *cough* Luke. But he did take a saber to the midsection so... I have read that someone who secretly is force sensitive saw Han was going to get killed and is waiting to save him at the bottom of the pit that Ben sent him down... thoughts? I could name a couple of people that fit that description.

Food for thought: Between all the previous Star Wars movies, both the prequals and the OT, several years have always passed between the movies. I wonder how they'll do for this one.
that question mark lightsaber design would be very effect because that there would be a light chance that the blade might be cause and it's harder to hit your opponent and on the opposite way round it could be a very effective slicing tool. It's also got more surface area to do more damage if you're going in for a jab type move.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Luke again, especially seeing how his abilities and powers have improved in the time since we last saw him. They should be stupendously awesome and really justify why Supreme Leader Snoke greatly fears him.
Luke was literally my childhood hero. I grew up pretending I was him, and to have him back in character again means so much to me, personally. I sincerely hope his presence isn't cheapened. I hope he's the Master Jedi I think most of us expect him to/would be. With all that being said, I think this movie is shaping up to be another late appearance by him. The previous spoilers hint at that the resistance is degraded, them losing momentum, or that's what it feels like anyway....Luke shows up at the end, is reunited with Leia, gives the resistance a much needed boost and some leadership. What I'm looking forward to the most, however, is the explanation of the attack on the new temple with Kylo Ren when he turned. Was Luke there? How did that play out? Is that how he lost the skin on his bionic hand? I just can't wait for the next chapter! I hope they can answer a third of my questions...

Luke could be meeting Maz, the bartender and owner of the smuggler's palace in episode 7. After her place was destroyed Maz could be helping Luke by providing him with knowledge of the Resistance or Rebels.

+Cassandra Pantazis Episode 8 is due for release December 15, 2017. I don't want to wait that long either. Ever notice how Lord of the Rings was released one year apart? Peter Jackson did it right. He directed/produced all three films at the same time and didn't make everyone wait forever on their release.

This has probably been suggested already, and is a little unlikely. But if it is indeed a flashback, Luke Might be searching for Lor San Tekka, who seems to know more than most characters in TFA, to warn him about what happened at the temple and tell him his plans. As has been stated, all major characters are returning, and I can find no confirmation that Max Von Sydow is not in the film as of yet. The problem is, I don't see him as much of a gambler, haha. Just an idea that popped into my head. Love your videos!
He's looking for Lando. As awesome as it would be to see Luke interact with Han again, flashback scenes don't work in Star Wars if they aren't quick images brought on by the Force.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was a flashback, considering that the directors for this movie Rian Johnson directed some episodes of the show Breaking Bad, which is notorious of flashbacks...the show never goes in a specific order and has flashbacks in the beginning of each episode...
I want more Jedi other than Luke. I know they said that Ben/Kylo Ren wiped them out, but I highly doubt they are all gone; we saw that there were some jedi that survived when Order 66 took place and after

I honestly don't think its going to be like people assume its going to be. They may or may not be looking for anyone. Yet if they are looking for someone i'm guessing it to be just some random new character for information. Like Dex in episode 2 or Maz. Although I would be thrilled if it was someone like Lando. Or maybe even a character taken from the EU like Kyle Katarn. They'd have a different back story most likely but it would be interesting either way. It's just rather doubtful.

Where did Maz go when her castle was destroyed? Luke would want to know how she got his light saber and she did say she would tell that story another time.
Luke must be looking for the "Forecast" that leads to his father's betray and redemption, hopes that the Forecast would help him again to find the balance of the force. But things won't go easy, he might have sacrificed a lot in searching it, including his daughter.

Luke needs a ship, of course, and trusted allies. Rey (I guess) has been trained already and now takes her ship to her destination (Kylo?), leaving Luke in the city with the casino. Lando seems like a good guess as to whom he is searching for. Also, Luke probably senses or 'sees' something's wrong with Leiah, and he needs concrete information.
Finally something with the possibility of Lando being in it
it was announced that they will do sth in ep 8 that never happened in sw before, so i assume that we ll see some flashbacks.

Maybe he's searching for Maz? Since she no longer has her cantina, maybe she's hanging out at that casino-type place. Maybe he wants to know where she had gotten his saber? lol Not sure if that's an important enough reason to seek someone out (let alone, important enough to add to the film), but it's my shot in the dark.

This is for The Stupendous Wave and all the Stupendous fans... Maybe the twist is to get us to focus on who her parents are for a bigger reveal. Something like her and Kylo have brothers and/or sisters. My theories...General Hux is Lukes kid and that's why he is always at odds with Kylo, perhaps Phasma is a daughter and actually on the side of the resistance. A crazy twist would be that Kylo ordered Finn to help Poe escape because he plans on overthrowing Snoke by turning Rey to the dark side. The reason he chooses Finn is because he knows him or at least the Family he was taken from, lando calrissian. Finn really turns out to be a bad guy. Maybe why Kylo calls him a traitor is because he thinks he is the one that shot him and not Chewy. Finn does ask Han what happened to Luke and seems to know a lot of the history behind Han and Luke both, why would the first order give them so much history. Finn knows Han as a war hero and Rey knows him as a smuggler...

I would think it's more likely that Lando is the proprietor of the Casino as he is a businessman in the old films, and Billy D Williams would make a better kingpin type character than a washed up drunk.

I'd love to see an engagement between Luke and Han. But it would also be great to see Lando come back to the series.
