I want an actual national dex again so badly. Gen 6 was the last time we did. I never understood why everyone cried about Dexit in SwSh bc I was pissed when Sun and Moon removed the national dex Gen 7 was actually dexit.
@@-Down-D-Stairs- It was "Dex-it", but you could still transfer and use Pokemon that aren't part of the Dex. Gen 7 was the last generation where you could use all Pokemon regardless whether there was a Dex entry or not. It only gained traction in Gen 8+ because even if fans weren't expecting a Dex entry for every Pokemon, they were still expecting to be able to use any and all Pokemon regardless. Personally I'm pretty sure they should be able to have done it regardless of what Gamefreak said because in an era where there are DLCs and a game's size is only limited by the size of your SD card, you can't really claim it's a hardware limitation. In the past, they could have gotten away with it saying there's a limitation because of the size of a cartridge, but Switch and even the 3DS systems have the cartridge and the extra space on SD cards. If I had to choose between giving up Wild Areas or giving up hundreds of Pokemon from being unplayable on a game, I'd rather give up on the wild area since it's often a laggy mess.
Hear me out. The biggest gen 10 hint in gen 9, apart from possibly the direct Santorini portrait found in Paldea, was the Terarium. The codename 'Gaia' should be thought as the link between all the islands, which could be 12, like the Titans, the gods born from Gaia and Uranus (the Sky). But unlike Alola these islands do not share the same cultures and values and they all harbor a different biome and ecological niche, just like the Terarium. Gen 10 will really be a compilation of all the different kind of environments featured throughout the generations, each island will represent the past of the franchise in its way. Regional variants are likely to be a big thing then. Another gen 9 heritage will be the legendary mount Pokémon, one will lead you from island to island by way of the sky the other via the sea, depending on which version you choose (names are likely to be Kaze, wind, and Nami, wave, from what we know).
I’d like it to burrow from Pokémon snap for the switch..which imo It also has some of the best visuals on Switch, period (the type of game it is allows it to push visuals in the models and environments), and the vastness of the Pokémon world allowed the devs to create a highly convincing “wildlife” landscape. It had more content than I expected. every course having a secret path and variations depending on level/time of day, it has waaaay more mileage than the original..if they bough that kind of energy to sword an shield I would’ve bought it.
I think Gen 10 will come out in 2025, which makes sense because of the whole every 3 years thing. Gen 5(2010, Japan), Gen 6(2013), Gen 7(2016), Gen 8(2019), Gen 9(2022) and Gen 10(2025) BUT ON THE OTHER HAND.............. Gen 10 for 2026 makes even more sense because it will be the 30th anniversary of the franchise. If Gen 10 is 2026, that means we will get major information about the Pokémon anime since the anime's 30th anniversary is 2027.
I do like the idea of what Jake described with the time travelling to key events and having nostalgic graphic shifts but it is literally the structure and concept of the fangame Pokémon Re:Union - I wonder how aware gamefreak are of roms and such but I feel like a lot of these games are made by and for people of a certain generation and therefore can preach solely to that crowd whereas Gamefreaks games have to be entertaining to Pokémon fans new and old first and foremost or even just gamers in general
29:14 We currently have 29 starters for mainline pokemon games (3x9 starters for each new region + pikachu in pokemon yellow and pokemon Let's go Pikachu + Eevee in pokemon Let's go Eevee). For the 30th anniversary It would be interesting to show one unique starter to reach 30 and so one unique game!
Something that could be a new feature for players to experience it maybe small but custom intros for Pokémon examples Agatha's Gengar intro or Greninja/Waterball or Ŵater types get this wave animation ,ect fire types get theirs that would be cool

If gen 10 is about celebration, and gaia means earth, I think this region could be huge. The place that comes to mind to me is South America, with many different kinds of terrains and places (and the amazon rainforest). I think this way with a huge and diverse region we could see all Pokemon from every gen finally make it into one game. Also we could see a fun twist on the Rio carnival being a big celebration of Pokémon.
This idea is more 10th generation focused than 30th anniversary but I'm convinced we'll get a new Japanese based region. My guts also saying we'll get a new mobile game, but one in the vein of the 2d games. I also remember an old leak that came from a then credible leaker that talked about returning to a drastically changed Kanto years later in a new generation

The Japanese region Pokémon games are still great. Revisiting the regions with the new but fun features would be great. The anime aesthetics and the interaction with the human characters, monsters, and the regions are what made Pokémon so special-no matter how Japanese it is like for its own uniqueness. Too bad SV took away all of those things. Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum deserve respect, and to be remade-even if it means being top-down 2D or between ORAS and Generation 7. Speaking of starters I may have a theory for the Gen 10 fire starter. As you know the first Pokemon game was released in 1996 which was the Year of the Fire Rat, the first animal of the Chinese Zodiac. Every of the zodiac animals has an element with them (water, earth, fire, wood, or metal) depending on the year. Here’s the list from 1996-2007: 🐀🔥1996 🐂🔥1997 🐅🪨1998 🐇🪨1999 🐉⚙️2000 🐍⚙️2001 🐎💧2002 🐏💧2003 🐒🌳2004 🐓🌳2005 🐕🔥2006 🐖🔥2007 Now here is the order from Gen 1 to Gen 9, pay attention to the elements. And I’m listing Fuecoco as the snake because crocs and snakes are reptiles. Also crocs move like snakes in the water. So if you look at the starters pattern we can see that maybe the next Gen 10 fire starter will be the ox and Gen 11-12 will be the horse and sheep. Or if Gen 10 is one of the water animals then Gen 11 will also be the other water animal and the ox will be the Gen 12 starter. 🐂🔥 🐎💧 🐏💧 Well that’s my hypothesis! What’s yours?!
Some comments will always end a discussion..... Like the earth is flat or we haven't been to space........ For me it's ANY real mention of a game 'with all the regions' or gamefreak putting out a 'collection' of Pokémon games; it's just never going to happen
I would really love for Pokemon Gen 10 to be more live service. Frequent post launch updates with new/returning content rather than raid events for regurgitated content that's already in the games. I just want all my favorite Pokemon in one game again. :(
I want a pokemon game where you start on an original region. Then After you become champion let us go not just to Kanto. But every region, each with it's own league and story, collecting new Pokemon All existing Pokemon, Capping the whole thing off with an epic tournament where you have to face off against every champion, and past Main characters, And Rivals, even characters from the Anime. Randomized every time, then after clearing that we have a final battle with Ash Ketchum. But that would be putting too much faith in Gamefreak.
Unless they make pokemon able to reach like level 200, that structure would probably have terrible pacing, you'd be fighting a gym after only growing like 1 or 2 levels
What I would like to see if they did do an all regions game, which would be insane, is like a level setter for each gym and have the gym leaders ace be set at 15% above the cap (rounded up). Have it like: Gym 1: All pokemon set to level 10, except the Gym Ace which is level 12 Gym 2: All pokemon set to level 15, except the Gym Ace which is level 18 Gym 3: All pokemon set to level 20, except the Gym Ace which is level 23 Gym 4: All pokemon set to level 25, except the Gym Ace which is level 29 Gym 5: All pokemon set to level 30, except the Gym Ace which is level 35 Gym 6: All pokemon set to level 35, except the Gym Ace which is level 41 Gym 7: All pokemon set to level 40, except the Gym Ace which is level 46 Gym 8: All pokemon set to level 45, except the Gym Ace which is level 52 It would make it more open world as you can challenge the gyms in any order You can do a similar thing for evil boss battles. Have the first time you encounter them be like Gym 1 and the last time you encounter them be like Gym 8 For the Elite 4 and Champion have no level setter. Your pokemon will be whatever level they are in battle. The Elite 4 has all their teams be level 45 with their ace at 55. With the teams level increasing by 5 levels each time a Champion in any region is defeated. To a max of 80 for tier standard Pokemon and 90 for their ace. The Champion has all their teams be level 55 with their ace at 65. With the teams level increasing by 5 levels each time a Champion in any region is defeated. To a max of 90 for tier standard Pokemon and 100 for their ace.
If they do a region collection, they may as well combine the regions and allow us to travel them all, starting where we want, which changes the starter choicies, while delivering Yellow style starter gifts for the ones we don't have. >Usual Starter trio for the home region >Pikachu/Eevee >Gible >Shinx >Magicarp Base Kanto off FRLG Base Kanto off HGSS Base Hoenn off ORAS Base Sinnoh off a better BDSP Base Unova on B2W2 Update the regions after to accommodate the Megas and mechanics.

I want pokemon games to be as good as they were in the past before gen 6. All these ideas are good but since this is the pokemon company I'm sure we will be disappointed
Pokemon Company Employee 1: *watches any Gen 10 discussion video* "Write that down, write that down!" Pokemon Company Employee 2: "Yea, I think some of these ideas would be pretty cool to imple..." Pokemon Company Employee 1: "We are NOT going to use any of these ideas so the fans can hold onto the series for many more years to come." LOL... the sad reality, but we hopping xD
This could be a great opportunity to finally they add Ash in the mainline games. Either by a special challenge or even as a rumored “Pokemon Master” of the region in Gen 10.
Mark my words, they are going to make the most nostalgic trailer with Gen 10 and to top it all off, they are going to announce them at the same time as the Switch 2.
Yeah that trailer for sun and moon was amazing so imagine what the 30th anniversary trailer would be. And gen 10 is not going to be announced with the switch 2. The switch 2 is going to be announced at some point between now and March and they still have legends ZA which we know nothing about. ZA is likely to be the only mainline game they release next year. They’ll announce gen 10 in their own pokemon presents on pokemon day just like they always do
Seeing KlingKlang in that animated video inspired me to start a #fixmyboyklingklang movement once bw remake commercials are out. He is terrible in game
Going off my earlier theory what if the theme is not only celebrations but also generations as in we will have a game more heavily focused on the bonds of family which is not too far fetched given the themes of a lot of Japanese media lately has been this idea of creating a family/ found family
It’s simple: gen 10, the entire region is new, and introduces several hundreds of new Pokémon and bring back nations Pokédex 30th anniversary game: the collection of ALL the Pokémon games from gen 1-9 Both should be available for trade from one game to another and both should be released in Nintendo Switch 2
Super Mario odyssey transitions from 3D in super Mario nes 2d style flawlessly and smooth , Nintendo proved already the hardware can handle it . If pokemon can integrate this style into the games and has a lot of potential if they use gba or ds sprites for it.
What about a Pokémon game where it’s all regions, all one big story. Age up all the original characters and have some new gym leaders in their respected regions. Red, Blue, Brendan, the Professors, age up them up a bit to show a time lapse. Have team rocket, magma, and Aqua all team up. Bring back Giovani and all the Antagonists. But they are all led by Silver who went away to discipline himself to take over the Pokémon world. He has taken out taken out all the protagonists who you now how to defeat to prove yourself capable enough to take them out. All the trainers in the evil organization use battle items to make them harder fights. They don’t use the typically “evil” Pokémon anymore. They’ve done their research and they use the stronger Pokémon of the region you battle them in, better IV and EV’s. Kanto and Johto are grouped together for boss battles since previously they overlapped. Each boss of that region has their respected legendaries that they’ll release to the wild after Silver is officially defeated. You can have this story either start in gen 10 or end in gen 10 but you’d have to go through all previous regions, they’re gym leaders and elite 4. There’s a lot to pack in but it’d be fun to have a large overall story like this. And maybe not as sporadic as I explained lol
Sorry if this comes off as hater like but while I appreciate Dusty's natural ability to speak, his mic picking out every little sound his mouth makes genuinely makes this podcast a little hard to listen to sometimes. Don't know how much distance from the mic plays a part in that but I don't experience this with the others and they keep their mics further away so there's that. I might have a mild case of misophonia (my sister has it and I know this would be a huge problem for her lol) so it may not be an issue for most but if it is I imagine they just wouldn't say it cause it can come off as rude or nitpicky, so I'll just be that guy.😭
I want a Kanto game set 30 years in the future where Kanto is way more modern. I could see Pokemon like Grimer, Muk, Koffing, Weezing, Nidoran and a few other Pokemon having regional variants. Grimer and Muk would be Fire/Rock Type, they would have adapted to living in the Volcano of Cinnabar island and they lost their Poison Type, but they gained Fire/Rock Type. Koffing and Weezing adapted to living in Cinnabar Island as well, and they thrived with the toxic gases that were coming out of the volcano, but they also gained the Fire Type making them Poison/Fire Type. Since Kanto became more industrialized, Nidoran would lose his Poison type and he would adapt to living near Metal factories and they would change to Steel/Fighting Type. I could see Marowak getting a new evolution that resembles Kangaskhan but with a skull like head and a bone staff on its hand and this evolution would be Ground/Fighting Type. I could see Golduck also getting a new evolution that is Water/Psychic Type. I could see Sandshrew having also getting a new variant, maybe pure Steel Type this time. Maybe we could get several Voltorb and a Electrode variants that resemble each Pokeball (Pokeball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, Safari Ball, Level Ball, Lure Ball, Moon Ball, Friend Ball, etc). I could see Red having a family with Misty, Blue having a family with Leaf, Brock´s youngest brother would be the new Gym Leader of Pewter City, Red and Misty´s children and Blue and Leaf´s children would be starting their journey at the same time as us and they would be our rivals.
Why would native kanto pokemon get regional forms? Even 30 years isn't a long enough time for biological evolution or mutation. Maybe they'd discover new evolutions and species but regional forms?
@@gomamon8439 fact! I’d modify his idea but I say I want it set 30 yrs but in Orre Region instead , staying true to but also bringing some new ideas into the region as a whole. I’d like Regional Variants, I’d like some ecological similar pkmn you know kinda wiglett. I’d like certain pkmn with 2 or more breed variations like Tauros fighting fire etc.. I’d make some more pkmn like Gastrodon For instance has 2 different forms west an east sea forms. Regional Variants. The Orre region is probably one of the stronger regions where Regionals would be a given from a story standpoint, an it's a mostly harsh environment with no Wild Pokémon for a long time, so any Pokémon imported here Must adapt, but also some parts of the region do thrive and are connected enough with nature, which could result in a few surprises. I think this has a lot of potential for all kinds of variants, Ice melting, Grass wilting, Smaller mons getting Dark/Fighting/Ground evolutions, "Predator"/Angry mons becoming peaceful, etc.
I would love to see Giovanni as the main villain of Gen 10 but this time, he has Ariana (as his wife), Ghetsis, Rose, Oleana, and Dr. Yung as his team. Meanwhile, I would love to see trainers go up against the pantheon (Leon, Lance, Cynthia, Kukui, Iris, Stephen, Diantha, and Geeta) after they earn 24 badges (2 from all the regions).
protag idea: retired high ranked battler finds the spark to battle after a midlife crisis. also it would be cool if you get to have friendship and do side quests with champions
For the next red green blue yellow remakes they need to do mew for the red game and mew two for the blue game and maybe a 3rd one with the 3 birds somehow idk but that would be the green one and THEN a Legends Ash or something game about ash’s version of events which would be yellow
I think a better implementation of the multiverse and celebration ideas would be that if you go to a gen 1 timeline, so to speak, you obviously would be bringing your team with you, but when you are there, everything looks as if it was gen 1, meaning Gameboy graphics, that way we would be able to see new Pokemon in an older graphical style officially, and that would apply for diferen graphical styles. Obviously I think this would never happen because GF has shown they are kinda lazy and I think this would be extremely time consuming if possible at all.
So sorry to do this to you -- but are you seriously trying to 'but actually' on Hawai'i's statehood? As if everyone on this podcast doesn't know that Hawai'i is part of the United States of America? Come on, man. The use of "territory" here is obviously the definition that refers to an area of land. My use of the word in the podcast, surely, was to indicate that though it is indeed one of the 50 US states, the ancestry and lineage of the ~territory~ is different from a lot of the continental US. I will never understand this uncontrollable desire to contribute to conversation by trying to posture as superior.
The biggest things we know via that Tera leak is it’s a Greece based region for Gen 10 so however you’re thinking it’s going to correlate for Gen 1 is going to be a far stretch.. We know the games have their own multiverse / timeline but some of the stuff you guys are talking about is just pure fan service and I cannot see ever happening in a mainline game
I’ve been disappointed in nearly every Pokémon game since Sun/Moon. Too much handhold too much laziness. TPC is far too comfortable and needs real competition

It would make it more open world as you can challenge the gyms in any order
You can do a similar thing for evil boss battles. Have the first time you encounter them be like Gym 1 and the last time you encounter them be like Gym 8
For the Elite 4 and Champion have no level setter.
>Usual Starter trio for the home region
>Pikachu/Eevee
>Gible
>Shinx
>Magicarp
Base Kanto off FRLG
Base Kanto off HGSS
Base Hoenn off ORAS
Base Sinnoh off a better BDSP
Base Unova on B2W2
Update the regions after to accommodate the Megas and mechanics.
Loved the intro with the old promo spots. Excellent work as always guys
Intro was banger love ya let’s do this such celebration we almost there ❤❤❤let’s go 30 years glad I pick up this franchise when I did definitely change my life and glad I found all ya channels 😊😊. Let’s gooo 😊
Most of your ideas presented in the episode today are so unrealistic, we will never get those things guys 😭
A lot of those are so far from realistic but I enjoyed the video anyway! Such a ride!
I want pokemon games to be as good as they were in the past before gen 6. All these ideas are good but since this is the pokemon company I'm sure we will be disappointed
Great episode guys. Lots of interesting ideas that I could absolutely see implemented in a gen 10 game.
Pokemon Company Employee 1: *watches any Gen 10 discussion video* "Write that down, write that down!"
Pokemon Company Employee 2: "Yea, I think some of these ideas would be pretty cool to imple..."
Pokemon Company Employee 1: "We are NOT going to use any of these ideas so the fans can hold onto the series for many more years to come."
LOL... the sad reality, but we hopping xD
Jake has that Benny Johnson laugh lol 😂
This could be a great opportunity to finally they add Ash in the mainline games. Either by a special challenge or even as a rumored “Pokemon Master” of the region in Gen 10.
This guys obsessed with multiverse NO MORE MULTIVERSE
Aren't ALL the fossils clones??
Isn't this literally just the post game of ultra sun/moon? But made into a full game?
Going off my earlier theory what if the theme is not only celebrations but also generations as in we will have a game more heavily focused on the bonds of family which is not too far fetched given the themes of a lot of Japanese media lately has been this idea of creating a family/ found family
It’s simple: gen 10, the entire region is new, and introduces several hundreds of new Pokémon and bring back nations Pokédex
30th anniversary game: the collection of ALL the Pokémon games from gen 1-9
Both should be available for trade from one game to another and both should be released in Nintendo Switch 2
I hear Jake, I hit like
Super Mario odyssey transitions from 3D in super Mario nes 2d style flawlessly and smooth , Nintendo proved already the hardware can handle it . If pokemon can integrate this style into the games and has a lot of potential if they use gba or ds sprites for it.
Need more Jake. Love his takes and different perspectives
pokemon wind and waves sounds nice
14:24 Ain't that just sonic generations😂
New episode let's go!!!
I’d make some more pkmn like
Gastrodon For instance has 2 different forms west an east sea forms.
I am calling this now the champion of gen 10 is going to be the main character mom idk why I just have a gut feeling that it's true
Imagine you have to battle your mom this is gonna be the hardest battle in Pokémon history ever😭🙏
I have no faith in TPC or Nintendo for that matter. Gen 10 will more than likely be the same drivel we’ve been dealing with for years
Faxxx I was so disappointed with sword an shield I haven’t even thought about touching scarlet an violet it was so bad!!!
All the stuff they are coming up with sounds way out of place for what Game Freak does with pokemon
Nobody hates Pokémon more than Pokemon fans
Well, that would work for the Pokémon 30th aniversary game
For the next red green blue yellow remakes they need to do mew for the red game and mew two for the blue game and maybe a 3rd one with the 3 birds somehow idk but that would be the green one and THEN a Legends Ash or something game about ash’s version of events which would be yellow
some of the worst ideas I've ever heard 👍
only Lumi should be allowed to cook
The National Dex must happen. We need all Pokemon back. I will want to catch them all because we haven't been able to for the longest time.
Also, it helps offer variety. Just complete the Regional Pokédex to get the Shiny Charm. The National Pokédex can just be a nice bonus.
I would like to see it as a thing it would be cool
I think a better implementation of the multiverse and celebration ideas would be that if you go to a gen 1 timeline, so to speak, you obviously would be bringing your team with you, but when you are there, everything looks as if it was gen 1, meaning Gameboy graphics, that way we would be able to see new Pokemon in an older graphical style officially, and that would apply for diferen graphical styles.
Obviously I think this would never happen because GF has shown they are kinda lazy and I think this would be extremely time consuming if possible at all.
Jake dreams too much
He actually doesn’t dream. 😂
Hawaiʻi is a state not a terrirory.
I want to know what region the Pokémon of ruin are from
The tera leak spoilt everything happening 2025 and 2026
It also showed the employees' contacts, which is sad.
I’ve been disappointed in nearly every Pokémon game since Sun/Moon. Too much handhold too much laziness.
TPC is far too comfortable and needs real competition
I live how Jake had pretty much become the 4th member of the podcast
Nah. I prefer it being this trio no new members
When Pokémon Generation 10 Comes Out On The Nintendo Switch 2 In 2026; Me And My Beautiful Asian Soulmate (Maya-Minnie-Chu) Will Be Finally Getting Married In New York City.
I need a Legends game with Ash
Let’s go
lov u guys even tho im always mean
NO MORE DEX CUT IN ALL THE FUTURE POKEMON GAMES!
👍👍👍👍
No. Keep ash out of the games...these ideas are terrible.
