I had a go in the 737 for my 59th. It was somewhere near Rochdale at the time. The simulator was so good that some airlines certified it for co pilots continuation training.
He got me to do the Hong Kong landing too. I was slightly off centre line.
Next he built the Vulcan simulator. That was brilliant. Even smelled like an aircraft should.
I've passed a couple of people your UA-cam channel details. I think your cost to learn video is worth its weight in gold.

Nice one Paul! I had a shot in the Tornado simulator at RAF Leuchars once. Flying it was great and I even managed to land it back at Leuchars OK, but then shot off the runway when I forgot about the reversed steering (compared to my Flexwing) 😞 A great experience though!
You’d think someone would tell these fixed wing lot that their rudder pedals are all broken!! 😆

Ten years ago I did it with Cathy pacific 737 simulator. It was amazing I was buzzing for days after

@@paulieb796 I got properly tempted down that route about 20 years ago but thankfully stopped the habit just after buying rudder pedals for my PC. I escaped full geekage by the skin of my teeth. 🤣

In my previous job with a UK airline I was the company auditor for the flight simulator centre. I had the opportunity to fly two variants of the 737 and the 757 full motion simulators and I can totally echo your thoughts. Real flying is much more fun. Kind of glad I didn't do it for a job now.
I always wanted to be an airline pilot but It’s true what they say. You should never meet your heroes. I’d rather go for a bumble in my microlight that fly a jet airliner.

Why are the rudder pedals "backwards"?
The foot pedals on a flexwing trike like the one I normally fly operate in the opposite sense to a conventional aircraft. So for example, right foot down on my aircraft causes the nose to go to the left whereas right foot down in a conventional aircraft causes the nose to turn to the right. It takes some getting used to!
