To be fair cyberpunk is cd projekt red first 1st person shooter game they've made, it's very impressive for what it is. And if they end up making more 1st person shooters they will have learnt a lot. Bethesda never learns because they know the people who buy them are morons.
The main problem Bethesda has is that they just can't move away from their janky engine. I enjoyed the scope of Starfield, and the ways in which you could loot and customise things, but the way the world works and its physics is not fit for this gen, or even las gen. Think Bethesda got away with it this time because of the space setting and how different and nicely crafted the world is, but it's difficult to see how the engine can be competetive next gen
@@ryanandrew102 If you like loot and build, you will like starfield. I just don't the empty planets and many loading screens. Bethesda engine is awful and old.
@@ryanandrew102 Their engine has its impressive aspects, like: 1) Its crazy accommodation for clutter physics, it can literally handle 20,0000 bottles of milk being spawned all at once, each with their own accurate physics 2) Its "persistent world" where every quest and character is operating 24/7 3) It's near perfect "memory" for object placement. I.e. you can place a plushie doll in the right hand corner of a bench and the game will remember that placement indefinitely. 4) The Creation Engine's god tier moddability extends the shelf life of each Bethesda game These were and still are impressive aspects of the Creation Engine that we ought to acknowledge, BUT... the only real areas that the Creation Engine has improved since Fallout 4 that modders haven't accomplished is NPC density and its physically based rendering. Not insignificant accomplishments, but Bethesda had fucking soooooo much more than that to improve on.
A huge problem with Starfield is the promise of 1000 planets etc. I would rather see 5 planets the size of Skyrim, but interesting to explore. Starfield exploration does not exist.
@hhh6930 hmm, Todd said it is Skyrim in space. This is nothing like that and it is a straight lie. I would rather have “Skyrim in space” to be true and never hear that there are 1000 planets. This is a joke and if anyone is defending that… has to be crazy delusional. I think it hurts the game. I wouldn't leave that game for next year if there would be at least 1 map/planet that is as interesting as the Skyrim map. Imagine 5 planets like that. I don't think many people would complain about 5x40-200h experiences ;) and more planets or even “1000 planet” expansion could be a future content. I'm so glad this game is in gamepass… I would be 16x more pissed if I would pay for it.
Cyberpunk's problems came because it was released before it was finished. After the last two years of them actually working on finishing the game it's pretty solid and 2.0 will likely knock it out of the park. What you see with Starfield is the finished product. The most mid single player game Bethesda has released in decades.
Idk. It's about the same quality as all Bethesda games, the only difference is other developers have grown and adapted and Bethesda has grown alright, grown fat and lazy off of all the Skyrim ports and Fallout merchandise they sell. The other difference is the worlds of TES and Fallout were interesting and fun to learn about and explore. There are thousands of videos about the expansive and fascinating lore of those two games. Meanwhile Starfield is the most boring world imaginable. It couldn't be more generic if it tried.
To be honest, one would have to wonder what teams were there. I wouldn't be surprised if outside of those actually working on the game they had marketing and advertising involved.
it's unbelievable how people can hate on a game no matter what just because of their expectations being so high.... its the best Bethesda day 1 release in a long time smh
It's gotta be some form of money laundering. Starfield supposedly had a budget of 200 million, where did that money go? Because it certainly didn't go on the animations or AI or to develop a new engine. Even the marketing for this game was lackluster.
@@dumbo-lv7jy if you pay full price for game from game studio of such scale you can have high expectations. And what is shown on a video isn't rocket science, sensible AI behavior existed in games 10 years ago. The game deserves all it's critics, because million/billion dollar company saves money providing worse experience, and you are consuming it like it's normal. Games should be made with attention to details, even indie developers do so, but company which released Skyrim doesn't for some reason.
@@agtl3168 what?😂 Go get the game before shitting on it it's already amazing doesn't even need mods anymore to work properly. You have low standards and keep eating that Bethesda shit.
@@agtl3168 Come on, it's definitely not lifeless. I wish there was more traffic at times but overall I think Night City has a lot of heart. And I feel like there's tons of stuff to do in terms of gigs and side quests. And they'll be even more when Phantom Liberty drops. I'd forgive alot of Starfield's shortcomings if it's character faces, writing, and vibe were on the same level as Cyberpunk. Cyberpunk is weird and sexy. Starfield is sterile and dull. But different strokes for different folks.
@@bigpileofpuke Yeah love night city but I do agree that there should be more immersive Sim like elements to get up to (aka normal people non illegal things). If you wanna role play as a pacifist or something there really is very little for you. Upgrading cars cosmetically and performance wise, investing, working non criminal jobs, gambling and other minigames, or customizing an apartment. As someone who wants to really feel like I'm living in the rpg worlds night city can feel somewhat 2 dimensional at times but it has so much potential. I know molders have added some stuff but cdpr games are just not as easy to mod as Bethesda games. Starfield mods will accomplish in 6 months what its taken years for cyberpunk mods to accomplish unfortunately.
Well, some people here are saying that Starfield should be compared with the launch version of Cyberpunk. Starfield was published 3 years later and Bethesda has the bad habit of letting the modders fix the issues while CDPR addressed many of the issues plus they really listened to the feedback of the players. Also, I don't see how the boring quests and lifeless voice-acting in Starfield can be fixed.

NOW, what boundaries does starfield push ?!? There's only two i can think of, testing how far they can get by giving gamers the ugliest most braindead AI in a modern game and not getting trashed for it and testing the boundaries of gamers patience with all their loading screens for everything.
Bethesda and MS paid them into doing it . Quin69's reveals that on stream , Bethesda Community Manager gives out the " good boy biscuits " to all the influencers who give it a nice review.
if u teleport from on esystem to an other to do a quest U have like 5 loading screens 1 from planet to ship Then from ship to outer space Then from space to other planet ( multi ply this by how many jumps u need ) Then from space back to new planet Then from ship to getting on the planet. And u do this 1-2 times per fucking quest
Cyberpunk makes Starfield look two generations old, and Starfield doesn’t have an excuse either because Cyberpunk’s map is absolutely loaded with even the smallest details while having great visuals, and Starfield just looks barren on any planet you land on while looking like an old PS3 game, except Killzone 2 actually had way better graphics, animations, and physics than Starfield. Starfield’s endlessly embarrassing dialogue shows me it’s more of a talking simulator, not a real game that cared about the player having fun with exploration. You can’t even really explore in the game, it just wants the player to do quests and listen to ugly NPCs talking. Surprise surprise, Todd Howard lied again just like he tricked everyone into getting hyped for Fallout 76. I miss Mass Effect.
Starfield has even less excuse as it was built almost entirely for the current gen hardware. Cyberpunk 2077 was trying to be multi-generational, and that really hampered the game at launch. Will be interesting to see what CDPR can achieve now they can ditch the PS4/Xbox-1 systems.
@@WewillbeFreeinlightandPeace wtf 💀 so it's a modders responsibility to finish the game not the developers who's charging money for this game. Even if it was a free game that is not an excuse to launch a game at a state like this especially after the Cyberpunk fiasco.
this is why I love being a patient gamer. Just now getting through the witcher 3 and only recently bought RDR2 lol. really want cyberpunk but ill still be waiting for a good sale at least
Glad to hear other people having this same mindset as I have, funny enough I just got RDR2 few months ago and Cyberpunk 2077 a week ago, both at very reasonable prizes and I'm legit having a blast playing both, specially RDR2, man that game is an absolute wonder. Thanks to this patient mindset I also avoided years of broken game bugs, unfinished content, overblown DLC prizes and all that, Just bought the entire game + all dlcs for half the prize or 1/3 of the full overprized product + with all the up to date fixes and patches. I have been doing this for ages and I have saved hundreds, probably thousands of €uros by buying this way, but most importantly I avoided all the corporate marketing hype lies and market manipulation, I avoided all the game breaking bugs and all the endless waiting for issues to be solved, waiting an endless train of patches for years to come. I saw this coming with Starfield... not only the game is massively underdelivered and having tons of rubbish and meh's all over, but also overprized, overhyped, an average score in gameplay, no innovation and showing a clear step back in all fields, those who claim this is a next-gen videogame in terms of graphics but also complex AI and gameplay are absolute ####ridding the studio and in total cognitive dissonance, it is clearly not next-gen and to be honest, it's so bland and rubbish that I'm not even sure I'm gonna by this at all. Also to mention as well, it shows how mediocre and how despicable this modern industry is by the fact that people have to "mandatory rely on modders" to fix something that is supposed TO BE FIXED since day 1, specially if it cost 70 F'ing dollars, coming from Bethesda an studio globally well known which such gigantic budget and human resources. You can't justify rubbish and mods are not here to do the job and fix all the mess that studios should have done since the day one. This wasn't the norm just few years back and apparently now is like common knowledge to assume that, wild times we are living.
It’s weird, it’s not like they don’t have a “running scared” status for NPCs in the game, they just don’t get it when near gunfire. That honestly seems like a bug to me
Error that all games in 2023 do not have dismemberments and a decent AI and not a shitty bullet sponge game with DIMMY AI, metro exodus is more or less but much more decent than those games, and with a shotgun on hard difficulty they kill you
This is where a lot of modern games could prioritize more of. Most trade in interactivity, physics, and believable AI for huge game worlds and the amount of content they could push instead of trying to really immerse the player. The games may look pretty in still shots, but once they require movement of any kind, the illusion breaks. Not every game needs to be immersive, of course, but the games that try to market themselves as these immersive big open worlds with life usually fall short. Baldur's Gate 3 is exactly the kind of interactivity and variety I would love from more of these huge AAA titles. I wish they scaled down and focused on interesting and unique content instead of "All the content."
"Hey CDPR, while giving us the worst launch in history of gaming. Theres an even better scapegoat in the triple A scene. For this we are limited semi-sorry"🤣
@@dinglshingle yeah except its not a better scapegoat. Starfield is the most polished bgs game ever at launch. whereas cyberpunk was the worst ever cdpr game at launch and maybe the worst performing AAA rpg ever at launch. I LOVE both games so looking at this objectively, that statement is unfair. starfield delivered all it said it would. Also 2077 has had years to improve and starfield hasnt even OFFICIALLY launched yet. Starfield has struggling performance fps wise but bugs wise its very good. Again both are great games and im more excited for a cyberpunk sequel than a starfield one but on launch grenades didnt even splash in water in cyberpunk. launch version of cyberpunk wasnt just broken but missing normal physics and features gta 4 had ages ago. If cyberpunk as broken as it was could spread its wings and fly, starfield can take off too. (if nothing else it will bc of bgs games ease of modding. there are already well over 100 mods and I imagine after official launch they will drop their official tool and the script extender will come out and then its going to explode on the mods and far surpass cyberpunk mods. so if you really really care about npcs cowering at your aim then wait a month or 3)

Meanwhile Bethesda refused my FO76 refund twice and only mentioned "how they could've done things differently" after 5 years when they started hyping up Starfield.
You'll see ten years later Todd will make his new and unique project. Todd's Mod. It's like Garry's Mod where all you can do is install mods into the sandbox, but on maps from Bethesda games. But you'll also need mods for it to work properly
Cyberpunk is one city, while Starfield has four cities, a thousand planets to explore, animals and missions, 1000 hours of missions, and a lot of weapons and options. Indeed, it is a stupid comparison. Different game design.
@@lofi1598 that one city in cyberpunk is larger and more detailed compared to all 4 cities in starfield combined lol, and 1000 hours of mission what delusion are you on? Cyberpunk has more weapons and weapon types than starfield.
I can actually kind of understand the limitations with the NPCs for Cyberpunks case in terms of like, their reactions showcased and such, because the NPCS on showcase are more "Filler" or crowd NPCS to give more life, reduced in complexity and more basic to reduce the usage of ram and GPU. For example 6:20 they're showcased as pre-set animations and weirder, more clunky style, and y'know, they could just technically do what they do for regular enemy characters are in cyberpunk and it could look much more sophisticated and cleaner, but if they DID do that, then most likely either the games engine or your computer would be working to the max to try and run as hard as possible, just to the sheer amount of physics and computing required to give the complete reactions. Starfield, Doesn't have this excuse, since all NPCS are coded the same, and all provide those sorts of reactions and everything, so they're all on the same level, and its still that bad. Basically, Cyberpunk crowd is meant to be downgraded quality, Starfield is meant to be the regular NPC
cp2077 use more animations than ragdoll because their games ragdoll like shit. happen in tw3 too. look at rdr2 in physics. gtaiv, gta v too. use animations like this is shit
They have a downgraded "crowd NPC" system for Starfield too, this time around. They even have lower-quality meshes and their clothing assets can't be used by the player characters, even with a model swap. Not a huge fan of this change, since the charm of BGS games has always been that every NPC is "a normal NPC" and not just set dressing, but it's the exact same situation now so I don't think your argument applies here.
Even ubisoft make crowds more believable than cyberbug, i still have crowds dissapearing in full sight. In watch dogs Legion, for example, I never had that unnimersive issue.
So in other words, we're all getting Phantom Liberty for Cyberpunk 2077 for only 24.99 ? It is half-price than Starfield AND you'll have an entirely reworked game to play with too !

Not only all of this but Cyberpunk 2077 looks visually better, runs better and is just over all better in it's design. Starfield looks like a game from 2015 that has gotten several HD texture packs.
Do you realize the scales of the game are massively different? Right? If they tried to have that level of fidelity on a game this size, nobody would be able to run it smart one

Now this is a valid comparison video because both games being compared are RPGs. I've always disliked when RPGs are compared to sandbox games in terms of physics and AI because the sandbox game with around the same budget would always win as sandbox games would of course focus their resources on the physics as its their strong point whereas RPGs focus more on character builds, branching choices, story, etc.
@@Yotamb9 I can compare new game with old game, and new game should be better in terms of graphics, gameplay or story. Why would anyone play the game which isn't better or at least on level with existing games? If a game requires polishing and patching for a couple of years then why it was released now for full price when I can buy better more completed game which is a couple of years older?
@@Yotamb9 I played Cyberpunk 2077 since day one and the NPCs in that game have always reacted when you threaten them. The only thing in this video that wasn't on CP77's day one launch was water physics. But NPCs reacting to you threatening them, no loading screens, realistic elevators, etc were all included in day one. Besides, like others said, Starfield is 3 years NEWER than CP77 so it SHOULD be better but as what's shown in the video, it's not.
Remembering how Cyberpunk could have you go from your apartment to the elevator to the streets and any other building without any loading screens seems so impressive now... But GTA was also doing that 10 years ago. The space travel is so basic it could literally be a Fallout 4 mod! Just make custom maps that look like space and have the player fast travel to them then fast travel to a planet. That's literally no different to travel in any Bethesda game before.
All these loading screens feels very ps3 era like. But it goes to show how ambitious cyberpunk was and why cdpr couldn't finish it in time. Starfield lacks a bit of elegance with its loadings... Showing a loading screen for an elevator ride breaks immersion so much
Proves that CDPR was actually on a rush according how Cyberpunk looked at the start. Bethesda is far bigger company than CDPR but still managed to make the most awful game of 2023. Kudos to Cyberpunk 2077 second biggest comeback after No Man's Sky!
Play Cyberpunk in its release state and then tell me it was way better than Starfield. In what world is this comparison fair. Its like comparing Apex on release to Fortnite now 🤡

We've reached a point where graphics are undoubtedly phenomenal. The priority now really has to be AI to create more believable worlds, we haven't really progressed much if at all since Red Dead Redemption 2. We need to use AI much more extensively, to the point that NPCs should be powered by language models and be able to hold natural conversations with players.
Yes. Since RDR2 nothing happened in the industry. That’s why iam hyped for GTA 6 not because of the story because of the AI. And just a sidenote: I think Starfield is a great game it delivers what i expected and I love it really ! Cant stop playing it, it’s a good Bethesda game
@@GameplayRunner nothing happened in the industry, with big companies like EA, Blizzard, Bethesda, but in the indie industry theres a lot of development, just to begin with No Man's Sky was one of the first games who made this vast space expanses and seamless transitions to planets, things no game has done before in the scale of what NMS did, hell, Bioware tried that with ME Andromeda and failed. In space engeneers you have physics applied even to reentry on planet, your ship could suffer structural damage and start to burn and dismantle itself right in front of your eyes, sure the graphics aren't anywhere close to Bethesda graphics, but again, for a indie game. And obviously SpaceBourne 2, wich is a better Starfield wich is made by ONE guy, this may not look like a leap foward for the industry, but just by knowing a single guy can make a space game BETTER than Bethesda is a huge leap foward. In other words the problem is with this mentallity that a lot of gamers have wich is to expect quality ONLY for the giants of the industry, and then fill this companies with money while guys like DBK strugle to pays is bills while making a better game than Bethesda. i get that people like massive games, lots of options etc... but man you just can NOT ignore the JANK in starfield. Jesus, the dialogues, the animation...
Aside from Cyberpunk having more bugs, what did Starfield have over Cyberpunk at the time of its release? Let me tell you: The plot, the storytelling is much better, and so are the characters - that's CDPR's tradermark. Technically, Cyberpunk is also better than Starfield. There is no loading screen, with a much higher FPS than Starfield on PC, not to mention RT effects, which are absent in Starfield. Even Cyberpunk's character facial expressions are better than Starfield's brain-dead, blank-staring characters.
the gaming community tore Mass Effect Andromeda a new asshole (deservedly so) but we letting Starfield off the hook? look at those face.. everything in the world looks so bland and early ps4 era looking..The Outer worlds that came out in 2019 was made by a 70 man dev team and looks better than this.. unbelieveable
Which is probably an even better comparison than CP2077, IMHO. Outer Worlds was a much better looking game, with superior AI & a more compelling story.
Cyberpunk is very good game now, after the uptades the game is much better now 10/10, this next dlc and the free update will revolutionize the game again
Rockstar don't make RPGs. Starfield and Cyberpunk are both RPGs, so their resources are more focused on the RPG elements, whereas sandbox games' resources would of course be more focused on physics and AI as they don't need to worry much about different character builds, branching choices, etc

Another point here is that shoting civilians in CP77 doesn't grant folks with dismemberments, if you want dismemberments you need to go after enemies that NOT always are active, like you can cross with some of the gangs and as long as you don't pull your gun on them they will leave you alone.
Ill give Bethesda this, the creation engine has never looked better, especially the facial animations. There is alot more to get stuck into with starfield and it think thats where it will excel. However cyberpunk is gorgeous and performance is much more stable (yes im really talking about cyberpunk) and the world itself is extremely immersive. I think they are both very different for comparison, and i felt the same way when i tried to compare the witcher 3 to skyrim and even botw. While I'm not defending Starfield I have to point out. Starfield is made to be able to run on potato consoles while Cyberpunk was falsely advertised that it will run on potato consoles while it shouldn't. Cyberpunk is just one city and Starfield tries to be the grand adventure across the universe thing.
Also this is cyberpunk after 2 years of patches. Cyberpunk was launched in an unplayable state and forced to get taken off of PS store for PS4 and its crowd AI was even worse than Starfield's.
I really like both games but lets remember that Cyberpunk has been heavily patched and these immersive elements just weren’t present at launch. For a bethesda game it’s probably the cleanest launch ever. I’m only 20 hrs in but so far no bugs which is surprising.
And as I stated the cyberpunk mechanics presented were not available at launch. As much as the state of AAA can and should improve Starfield is Bethesda’s best effort yet. From game play, to mechanics, to perks characters and design this is a big step forward for them, a natural evolution that I wasn’t expecting. It’s a better bethesda game from bethesda.
Yes it's been heavily patched, but the NPCs reacting to you pointing a gun at them have always been there since launch. There's always been little to no loading screens in Night City. The only thing that was shown in this video that weren't in CP77 during launch was the water physics.
Starfield is a real RPG, unlike Cyberpunk. Consider that Cyberpunk 2077, the game about corrupt megacorporations, with a corpo lifepath, does not let you actually roleplay as a corporate agent, but Starfield does.
I plan on playing Starfield...BUT, I bought CP2077 on release day, tried to play it, got disappointed and uninstalled. I will do Phantom Liberty first, waiting 2-3 months on Starfield will let them iron out a few things.
The comparison would be more fair if done with both games at release day. Cyberpunk 2077 has improved allot over the years and while I'm enjoying Starfield currently there is much to be improved and am sure much will!
People saying "Cyberpunk at start was broken and Starfield isn't and that's a plus" that's the worst part, Since that means there is zero hope that it will get better.
Might be a hot take but this isn't a bad thing because it shows that no matter how fucked CP2077 was at launch, it bounced back and is doing fine now, which means Starfield will be better with updates. It's disappointing we have to rely on patches when it shouldn't have been a problem in the first place though
Brother I’m not sure that mentality is valid anymore. Forspoken never got fixed, Jedi survivor was left to rot and till this day runs like garbage on pc. Immortals of aveum is guaranteed to be abandoned as that game literally never cracked 1000 players DAY ONE, understandably as literally no one can run it unless you own a 4090. We’ve gotten to a point where not only pc ports are more unoptimized than ever but there is a good chance the devs will shrug thier shoulders and move on without ever patching the game.
The difference is that CDPR's problems aren't called "charming." Bethesda's jank is excused by fanboys and fixed by modders, so I'll be surprised if Bethesda fixes these issues on their own.
You see this is what I don’t like about Starfield; it’s so immersion breaking because of Bethesdas reliance on loading screens and quick travels that makes them seem lazy compared to Cyberpunk 2077, they even pop up a window to choose a floor when using an elevator….
@CrayonEater2003 nah you are truly a crayon eater. You probably love watching loading screen after loading screen. Its not like you have the mental capacity and IQ to get bored by this anyhow. You’re entertained by the most boring menial tasks.
Guys, let's not forget that when Cyberpunk 2077 came out it was literally unplayable garbage of a game with disasterous level of lacking quality and even CD Project RED got sued by Polish government. I think that Starfield deserves a second chance, also lets note that lots of Bethesda Softworks games aren't good without mods. I personally hated Skyrim because of it's buggines, robotic player and ai animations, but when I installed loads of mods on Skyrim: Special Edition (the best Skyrim version, with tons of great mods) I had the best gaming experience that I could never have in any other RPG game and still now I'm thinking about reinstalling it, same goes for Fall Out 4, the base game is unoptimized and sometimes I had microstutters even though my PC specs were greatly compatible to have perfect 60fps experience, weapon animations weren't satisfying, lack of some weapons which were present in previous installments. But with mods I turned Fallout 4 into true next-gen highly detailed game. I was also thinking that it's to early for big project like Starfield to come out, but let's embrace with patience and hope for good.
@@shumailazeeshan123 What I'm trying to say is to give both to a game and Bethesda second chance, that's all, I didn't mention or even trying to say that it's okay to release product with lots of tecnical issues, that would be absolutely ridiculous thing to say. First things first Bethesda should have proper apology for this failure. promise to fix the game to decent and even more greater state and what's important keep their promise.
@@shumailazeeshan123Starfield technically is running fine unlike Cyberpunk which was unfinished at launch. It plays like Fallout 4 in space so if you like janky Bethesda RPGs with good quests you'll probably like it. If you think the game will be No Man's Sky you'll hate it.

Its crazy people are actually forgetting cyberpunk is a linear interactive movie and not a roleplaying game not even at all in the same caliber or masterwork as starfield.
How about a comparison between 2020 Cyberpunk 2077 and Starfield? It took *two and a half years* for CDPR to get that game from the dumpster fire it was to where it is now. Meanwhile, Starfield is a stable, smooth, glitch-free experience, Day 1. Guaranteed that 98% of the commenters here are just hate-mongers and Ponys who’ve never actually played Starfield. 🙄 Moving on…
I don’t wanna even start to write everything down why STARFIELD is amazing… but ok. I guess the minority here is against Starfield so I don’t wanna start a war. For me Starfield is amazing! I got a 4090 and I love playing cyberpunk. But Starfield is really a good Bethesda game. It tells so many stories… I played 30 hours now and if I compare my story to his experience it’s totally different And I don’t even was in akila city or neon But Mars is really cool !!! Even the miners outside of mars change their shifts. 4 goes inside and start working out or start to eat something the other 4 going out and start working. And if there is a sandstorm coming they all go inside
To be fair cyberpunk is cd projekt red first 1st person shooter game they've made, it's very impressive for what it is. And if they end up making more 1st person shooters they will have learnt a lot. Bethesda never learns because they know the people who buy them are morons.
I think they will Fock up the elder scroll 6 too
@@BearGamingAsia yeah pretty much, morrowind is still the best elder scrolls and most well thought-out.
@@ryanandrew102 Their engine has its impressive aspects, like:
1) Its crazy accommodation for clutter physics, it can literally handle 20,0000 bottles of milk being spawned all at once, each with their own accurate physics
2) Its "persistent world" where every quest and character is operating 24/7
3) It's near perfect "memory" for object placement. I.e. you can place a plushie doll in the right hand corner of a bench and the game will remember that placement indefinitely.
4) The Creation Engine's god tier moddability extends the shelf life of each Bethesda game
These were and still are impressive aspects of the Creation Engine that we ought to acknowledge, BUT... the only real areas that the Creation Engine has improved since Fallout 4 that modders haven't accomplished is NPC density and its physically based rendering. Not insignificant accomplishments, but Bethesda had fucking soooooo much more than that to improve on.

Can confirm from the future: 2.0 (and now 2.1) knock it out of the park. Hope you enjoy learning this one year in the past.
It's unbelievable that supposedly hundreds of people are working on these games for many years...
To be honest, one would have to wonder what teams were there. I wouldn't be surprised if outside of those actually working on the game they had marketing and advertising involved.
Wouldn't be surprised if the diversity team is bigger than the AI team...
it's unbelievable how people can hate on a game no matter what just because of their expectations being so high.... its the best Bethesda day 1 release in a long time smh

Thanks to this patient mindset I also avoided years of broken game bugs, unfinished content, overblown DLC prizes and all that, Just bought the entire game + all dlcs for half the prize or 1/3 of the full overprized product + with all the up to date fixes and patches. One thing they removed from cyberpunk 2077 that I liked was the 3D map, where you could see it from any angle and direction.

Halo 2 and GTA aren't RPGs. RPGs focuses their resources more into character builds, branching choices, storyline, etc whereas sandbox and FPS games will focus more of their resources on physics and AI obviously.
@@beige_projection ok fallout 3 came out in 2008. I'm pretty sure its an RPG . Has great ragdoll, and nice water physics. Along with plenty of RPG elements. Fallout 4 also 2014/15 was great. Now stfu kid.

The fire in Starfield looks so bad dude
Which is so weird considering the ships look objectively great, but the fire when they lift off just ruins the designer's work.
I feared this I knew the AI would be crap in starfield, Bethesda need to sort things out.❤
How did this game take 8 years to develop, the faces of NPCs look the same as fallout 4 too
No this games graphics is 100% improved why did it take 8 years they made over 1000 planets 100 plus quests tons of ships tons of weapons and armor and so many items in general Yh that’s why this game took so long the graphics are not the best but that’s because it’s a using the creation engine soon as Bethesda switch over there games are gonna look amazing
@CrayonEater2003 It took 8 years to find the biggest Kalergi abominations to mo-cap their faces for.
Having to read the delusion of the ripped off consumers ####ridding Bethesda trying to justify their rubbish of product is absolute astonishing
And just a sidenote:
I think Starfield is a great game it delivers what i expected and I love it really !
That is the real problem, folks throwing money in the wrong places, while the real deal is happening underground.
I think rockatar themselves will not be able to cross the ai they created for rdr2 even after 5 ,6 years

i get that people like massive games, lots of options etc... but man you just can NOT ignore the JANK in starfield.
Cyberpunk at launch with RTX ran almost as good as Starfield without RTX 🤔
No, and starfield has Global iluminatiom IR, sk technically is as heavy as rtx.

the gaming community tore Mass Effect Andromeda a new asshole (deservedly so) but we letting Starfield off the hook? look at those face.. everything in the world looks so bland and early ps4 era looking..The Outer worlds that came out in 2019 was made by a 70 man dev team and looks better than this.. unbelieveable
Which is probably an even better comparison than CP2077, IMHO. Outer Worlds was a much better looking game, with superior AI & a more compelling story.
Your Starfield character looks funny af 😂👌
Cyberpunk is very good game now, after the uptades the game is much better now 10/10, this next dlc and the free update will revolutionize the game again
Just wait when Phantom Liberty comes out along with the new update 2.0 for Cyberpunk 2077. I am way more hyped for Cyberpunk.

Theyre gameplay is boring as fuck though, worst shooting mechanics in a AAA game.
It's normal rockstar put 8 years for development a new game with 2000 peoples and they work 80 hours per weeks
Rockstar don't make RPGs. Starfield and Cyberpunk are both RPGs, so their resources are more focused on the RPG elements, whereas sandbox games' resources would of course be more focused on physics and AI as they don't need to worry much about different character builds, branching choices, etc

Each of these games tackles different things and approaches mechanics of an rpg in a various other ways. Ive played 5 hours of starfield so far and depsite a few gripes im enjoying immensely. It really does feel immersive imo and i enjoy the freedoom it has to offer. Ill be revisiting night city soon to try its newest update, but until then starfield has me addicted.

Cyberpunk looks like a masterpiece compared to Starfield
Bethesda managing to lower the bar for what counts as "good enough" is never to be questioned.
Funny to see Cyberpunk on the other side
The comparison would be more fair if done with both games at release day. Cyberpunk 2077 has improved allot over the years and while I'm enjoying Starfield currently there is much to be improved and am sure much will!
People saying "Cyberpunk at start was broken and Starfield isn't and that's a plus" that's the worst part, Since that means there is zero hope that it will get better.
Outside of graphics they both seem like games stuck in 2009, shit water wise both are sub 2009
Because you're comparing them to sandbox or fps games. Can you name a 2009 RPG game that have better water physics?
Can you make video cyberpunk version 1.0 vs starfield ? That would be more interest to watch
Might be a hot take but this isn't a bad thing because it shows that no matter how fucked CP2077 was at launch, it bounced back and is doing fine now, which means Starfield will be better with updates. It's disappointing we have to rely on patches when it shouldn't have been a problem in the first place though
In the Future we might need to pay extra for a Game with minimal amount of Bugs and functioning ai.
slave mentality
Brother I’m not sure that mentality is valid anymore. Forspoken never got fixed, Jedi survivor was left to rot and till this day runs like garbage on pc. Immortals of aveum is guaranteed to be abandoned as that game literally never cracked 1000 players DAY ONE, understandably as literally no one can run it unless you own a 4090. We’ve gotten to a point where not only pc ports are more unoptimized than ever but there is a good chance the devs will shrug thier shoulders and move on without ever patching the game.
keep huffing that copium. the developers just love selling you cucks unfinished games. you pay top notch prices for unfinished products. hilarious.
The difference is that CDPR's problems aren't called "charming." Bethesda's jank is excused by fanboys and fixed by modders, so I'll be surprised if Bethesda fixes these issues on their own.

now compare character dialogue, combat and exploration between Starfield and Cyberpunk.
I haven’t played SF yet but CP77 is pretty hard to beat when comparing the sound design, writing, world building (ie clothes and shit)
from playing both games, cyberpunk is much better in this regard.
You see this is what I don’t like about Starfield; it’s so immersion breaking because of Bethesdas reliance on loading screens and quick travels that makes them seem lazy compared to Cyberpunk 2077, they even pop up a window to choose a floor when using an elevator….

So you are saying that games should be out in bad state and modders should improve it 😮
@@shumailazeeshan123 What I'm trying to say is to give both to a game and Bethesda second chance, that's all, I didn't mention or even trying to say that it's okay to release product with lots of tecnical issues, that would be absolutely ridiculous thing to say.
