so im curious becuase ive been flying the ja37D what could he have done differently to win? the only problems ive had is with the f5e they seem to out rate me every time
If I were flying the delta wing in this scenario, it’s imperative to win the fight quickly so the F5 won’t outrate you. Given a long enough period of time, the F5, being the outstanding rate fighter that it is, will eventually bleed any delta wing of energy on the deck, similar to the F-16. He had my 6 both times, but couldn’t capitalize on his window of opportunity quickly enough. That’s likely why I was able to win. My advice is to be aggressive at getting your Aim-9L’s off at the start of the fight from a rear aspect l, making them hard to flare. If you take too long, you’ll be out-rated.
