We have stayed in numerous condos in the Snowshoe village. Primarily in Allegheny Springs or Rim Fire. We like being in the village, when we have stayed outside the village we wished we were in the village. To be clear some condos have been renovated but many are not. Personally I'm not looking for overly luxurious accommodations. Generally coming off the mountain I am tired and dirty from mountain biking or skiing and just want comfortable and easily accessible. To me the bigget win is when we get a condo with washer and dryer included. Using those for the building is a pain and time consuming trying to find one not already in use. Plus, lugging clothes, detergent and coins back and forth is a chore. There are not many that include the washer and dryer but they are worth it.
The other great thing about the Snowshoe village is the uniqueness of the village at the top of the mountain. Most ski towns and bike parks have everything at the bottom of the mountain but staying at the top is great. You just walk out and have all the great views and access to the trailheads for skiing or mountain biking. The village at the top of the mountain make it so nice.
We highly recommend everyone visit Snowshoe it is a great experience.

Nice!! Does it have a place to put your bikes?
Bike storage is a bit haphazard. Allegheny Springs and I think most of the village condos have locker rooms designed for skis for winter. Many people bring locks and lock their bikes in there. A couple of the condos, but not Allegheny Sprins, have basement parking garages, we locked our bikes in the RimFire garage in the past. There are a few bike racks in the village some people lock their bikes to those. Some of the off village condos have good sized mud rooms in the entrances for skis etc that work for bikes. However despite all of the condos we have stayed in saying they do not allow bikes in the rooms. Many people bring their bikes into the rooms. We have done a mixture of all of these in the past over different trips.
@@rwogmtb-ridingwitholdguy thanks so much for the detailed information. I’m heading there next week but I rented a house in Cass with some friends which is about 15 minutes away. I like having my bike in my sight but would prefer to stay near the village.

Are the locker rooms for skis the ones that are cages? Does Allegheny have that? About to book a property there.
