**When I first uploaded this video it got a lot of traction for a few weeks and then it just stopped, and it's stayed that way. I think I know why. But I've made some changes and I hope it picks ups.
Remember that time I almost froze visiting Snowshoe, West Virginia? I do! In this video we’re taking one of the most cozy winding Appalachian Mountain Roads through the Monongahela National Forest, for an amazing Mountain View Experience in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. Snowshoe Mountain! Technically Snowshoe Mountain is the name of the resort that’s located on Cheat Mountain, but… marketing. So, it’s all good. Sunset Mountain Village on Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia is amazing, and skiing Snowshoe West Virginia is the best. Or so I’m told, I hold the camera, and enjoy the scenery.

Oh, you broke my heart. J/K! Wonderful video. I have been Skiing at Snowshoe for over 35 years but have not been able to go these last couple of years. Snowshoe is truly a Ski resort with amenities for those who ski, don't ski and just relax, and for those who like the nightlife. I still watch the Webcams everyday just to watch.

Oh. Wow. This is my new favorite. Tell Caroline I have NEVER been skiing or ice skating and I grew up in WV. (Like you didn't know already. lol) You did an awesome job with the filming. And, oh yea the editing and all that was good, too. Take care.

Beautiful area. It’s strange how snowshoe got its name. Early settlers saw snowshoe footprints in the snow every winter. It turned out to actually be Bigfoot prints but the name had already stuck
I heard bigfoot is really a giant rabbit.
Good Peeps up here great place to work I Patrol up at the Shoe fyi just so you know best place to learn to ski and snowboard is Silvercreek on same mountain beginner trails are wider and less crowded just take the buss

well i think they have more snow there than i have ever seen in ky but i would have been with you i would have worn blue jeans a t-shirt and sneakers and stayed in the truck
I'm telling you it was cold. Bone chilling cold. It got up to about 26, and that's about that. The weather is more like New England than WV. It's unique place. I think there's snowmobiling there but I haven't looked into yet. That would be fun. I haven't done that since I was kid and we lived in Michigan.
@@BillMarionHey Bill, great video and I'm glad you enjoyed your time at Snowshoe. They do offer snowmobiling and off-road razor tours. It is a great time and you get to see some of the vast back country. I was up there in early December and the high temp. one day was 15 degrees. Snowshoe does have a unique climate even for its location in West Virginia. It is drastically colder that the close by towns at lower elevations. This season has been fantastic from a weather stand point so far. Lets just hope the season will go all the way through March without being forced to end due to the pandemic. Thanks for getting the word out with such an amazing and well put together video.

A great place to ski but they had a very mild winter last year and barely had 50 inches. Ironically they had about 15 inches of snow in the first week of May which bigger than any snowstorm that hit during the winter. I have a video of it here ua-cam.com/video/XCmPVehj404/v-deo.html
More time was spent on jeans then skiing.
Yes. In full disclosure, I was freezing, and couldn't walk around out there any longer to capture more skiing. Nevertheless, thanks for watching and commenting. I hope you'll give some of our other videos a try.
