    Let us celebrate our natural hair. It is a God-given crown. Thank you little sister for your video. I use African Black soap melted in hot water instead of harsh chemical shampoos. ❤You look marvelous!

    2:28…. From my experience, detangling hair while it is damp or wet often lead to breakage and when all the water evaporated from the hair my hair was actually more tangled and dry. I’ve found the best practice is to detangle your hair while it is dry. Only using your fingers and oil. (No combs and no brushes). By putting oil on dry hair, it gives it more and will not only loosen the hair but it will soften it.

    • @Receipt1705

      If I detangle my hair while it’s dry it breaks.

    • @champagnegold8614

      @@Receipt1705 I understand what you’re saying, but have you ever used oil and only your fingers to detangle you’re hair when it’s dry?? I would never recommend detangling dry hair with a comb or without an oil.

    • @BeUr_Best
      @BeUr_Best 6 місяців тому +5

      Not everyone is the same, nor hair texture. My hair is 4b. It breaks if I detangle when it’s dry. When it’s moist, there’s hardly any.

      @champagnegold8614 6 місяців тому +9

      @@BeUr_Best do what works for you. But I’m putting suggestions out there for other people who are the same as me. I have what you would call 4C hair. And using my fingers (only) with oil on dry hair detangle’s my hair just fine. Again, if it don’t apply, let it fly. These are suggestions for people who find themselves in the same scenario I’m in. Detangling wet or damp hair does not work for everyone. It has done more harm than good for me. But it’s good to know it works for you.

      @@champagnegold8614I use to detangle my hair when it's dry with oil and fingers too. For me it works better on my fine 4A/4B hair. But most people detangle on wet hair.

    This is so lovely! You've done an amazing job!
    I'm Kenyan too and I've been trying to grow out my hair. Unfortunately I haven't been very consistent with my routine over the years so I've only retained little length, but my hair is still longer than it has ever been my whole life. Since I was able to retain the little length I could, I'm inspired to treat my hair well and retain even more length.

    I have long hair at my hips and not from stretching and it can’t stretch beyond. Lol.
    I like the stretchy hair though. Beautiful 🎉

    1. Wash your hair in sections
    2. Detangle your hair while it's still wet/damp
    3. Moisturise regularly (pay attention to the ends)
    4. Protective styles (low manipulation)
    5. Use less heat (always use a heat protector)
    6. Only trim when necessary
    7. Apply protein treatments (in moderation - balance protein with moisture to avoid it becoming dry)
    8. Deep Condition during every wash day
    9. Keep your scalp clean
    10. Create a Routine (consistency is key for optimal results).
    bonus: Ayurvedic powders
