I’m just waiting for Timmy to fight the Kangaroo. I think with Timmy’s high intelligence he could outsmart the Kangaroo, but we just have to wait until No Way Home for that one
Ok
And when Spidey's on the ropes, there's only one person powerful enough to save him. Timmy.
I thought I would understand this comment once when I watched the video
Boy was I wrong
I think that Timmy vs The Wall would be better
Timmy
I can't wait for The Wall to appear in the MCU. I'm suprised he hasn't showed up yet, truly an iconic villian.
He in ALOT of mcu movies hes basically everywhere you look like hes a wall hes everywhere
Personally, I'm hoping to see Big Wheel soon.
he probably already is in the MCU
just, y’know, hidden in plain sight.
What about the wheel
He should be a joke boss battle in PS4 Spider-Man 2
I was actually on that ride when Stan Lee passed away. The ride literally stopped and I heard a few crewmembers in the distance talking about his passing. Quite ironic and unfortunate at the same time.

I think if you listen to it hard enough, he says either 400 million or 400 billion dollars before Spider-Man cuts him of. So it might be even worse that he traded that much more money for an orange and a banana
The Carnage/Doctor Octopus audio is actually horrifying lmao
1:16:59 to 1:17:37
Imagine hearing that as a kid too! That thing gave me nightmares.
Bro I literally got chills and my heart started to race
No wonder ive got scared and almost shit my pants everytime i seen a video of Spiderman 2000,Like i think thetrauma gaved me ptsd
Ok so I was watching this with headphones and nearly got a panic attack, I suffer from heavy anxiety. Maybe just me, but a warning would have been nice.
Timmy having 1 energy projection means he theoretically has energy projection abilities
No, a 1 in energy projection means you lack energy projection.
He can spit really well

"Spider-Gwen is a murderer" is probably referring to how Spider-Gwen is actually a murderer. She killed Peter Parker in her world after he turned into the Lizard.

@@scyzo2451 Why?
There's also the very recent Spider-Man: Fake Red Manga. It's a Manga that was cut short due to sales, but the art is fantastic and the story is engaging (even if it is a bit simplistic).
@@dn22pkkdd476 that manga was the definition of wasted potential. People wanted to see a manga version of Spider-Man, instead we got a random kid who finds Peter's costume and decides to play superhero, and Peter himself only appears in the final chapter. No wonder if flopped. The theme itself and the story are really good and align with Spider-Man's values, but people want to see manga Spider-Man
@@Username-wj8pz to be fair, we did get a few flashback chapters that did have the adventures of manga Spider-man. The fight against Scorpion was so beautifully drawn and the events surrounding it were a perfect distillation of Peter Parker, Spider-man. I think we would have gotten more like that, if the manga continued. I liked Yu's story though. It was fun seeing him grow, and it kept me coming back each chapter. Even if it was baisic, it was simple storytelling done well, with fucking killer art. Also, the manga made it's intentions with Peter going missing right at the start. So there was no "bait and switch" You kinda knew what you were getting. Personally, I had a blast. But I understand where the frustration could have come from. I think all three manga Spider-men (four, if you count manga-verse) were fun twists on the formula and I'm happy with all of them
I can confirm that John Semper Jr. always wanted to have Peter find MJ in Victorian London with Carnage as Jack the Ripper. He’s been pretty open about that long before the 2016 script.
Doesn’t the Reimi Trilogy and the PS3 logo share the same font?
Yup!

Timmy and Tina from the Make A Wish stories probably ate that Spidey pasta and it gave them their terminal cancer. That's why Spidey scolded the dinosaur man about not curing it.
The worst part wasn't cancer, it was having their jaw fall off and severe brain damage.
At the very least Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark still lives on in the form of a dialogue reference in Marvel vs Capcom 3 via Deadpool dialogue.
Also I wonder how many kids were traumatized by “Changes”.
Better be careful to not call Spot a weekly villain
Man every Spider-Man games have a banger osts

**Gets ‘Medal of Honor’**
Honestly I’d rather have an orange.😎

One somewhat notable addition to the iceberg is what's known as the Bomb Squad meme. It started on GodzillaMendoza's channel during his Spider-Man video game retrospective when he discussed Spider-Man 3's video game tie-in. The game has a sub-mission where Peter must deliver active bombs to a bomb squad to defuse, and the game has a loose morality system and effects Peter's personality and reactions. If you accomplish the sub-mission as Evil Peter, he quips "'Leave it for the bomb squad,' yeah, whatever. From now on, I am the bomb squad." It caught on as a brief meme due to Tobey Maguire's dull delivery and the absurdity of the line itself. People jokingly started substituting the name Spider-Man for "Bomb Squad" or "The Bomb Squad," saying he was their favorite Marvel superhero.
Spider-Man committing voter fraud followed by his dying friend yelling “you’re a fraud Spider-Man!” and throwing a table while Spider-Man listens right outside is somehow the funniest thing I’ve seen all week.
Hey wait a second I know you from somewhere, you a Spider-Man fan too?
The Sandman vial is most likely just a handful of sand once controlled by Sandman, by "Still not sure if opening this would set the Sandman free" it implies that he's not sure if Sandman STILL has control of the sand in the vial
Also it’s not a random skyscraper, it’s literally Avengers tower. This doubles as a reference to the end of Infinity War
I feel like that implies Sandman is either actually in that vial, or is in hiding and just letting Spider-Man think he's contained him so he can live a normal life or something
@@jackjaws wouldn’t that more have to do with the fact that Sandman was once an avenger? The game came out the same year as the movie, I doubt they knew the ending when making most of the game.
And then Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 happened.
Glad to see mention of that old Halloween horror nights house here. That's even one of the more obscure things for our fandom. Heard way too many iterations of that story. Dead heroes being in the house, that not being the case, somehow the house paving the way for the marvel zombies franchise years later. Nobody really knows. 2002 was a weird year. Allegedly the next year's house "Disorientorium" had newspaper clippings in the entrance from the daily bugle and a scarezone that year had toxic barrels with oscorp logos on them that caused people's flesh to melt off, so technically they still tried running with the Marvel IP under the radar only a year later.
Island under siege carange and villians took over and supposed to be a myth that in the maze there were dead super heroes
I don't get why Marvel would think kids seeing the dead heroes in the house would mean they were gone for good.
Or why they would even let kids into a horror-themed attraction. Morons...
@@juliagoodwin9510 Oh that second part was pretty normal back then. But the first? Lol
That Monster Ock voice line almost made me choke on my celery, good lord that shit was so fucking scary.
I one thing I wanna add to the iceberg is what color is the 2099 suit..
I'm pretty sure most know this but I think its interesting.. so its been said that the 2099 suit is named the black suit despite having a blue tone, the reason for this to show more detail in brightly lit scenes. When asked what color the suit is during a godzillamendoza video. Peter David (creator of Spider-Man 2099) says its blue black.
What the hell even is blue black.
It's black that's seen as blue through the human eye.
Maybe a very dark blue
Id assume that means the suit is black with literal blue highlights instead of the blue being lighting/shadowing
Yea the same thing happened to the original Spider-Man suit it was supposed to be Red and Black but people thought it was Red and Blue

34:40 The band's name is pronounced "Green Jello". Green Jello was their original name, but when Kraft Foods issued a cease and desist over the use of their product name, they changed their name to Green Jellÿ. "Y" with an umlaut over it is a fictional letter not actually used, but the band claims it is pronounced like an "o". So it's kind of like a "Artist Formerly Known as Prince" situation. Also, Green Jellÿ made an original song specifically for the game called "Carnage Rules". A studio version of the song with lyrics based on the character appears on their 1994 album "333"
Wait is this the same Green Jelly that made "Three Little Pigs"?

funny how The spot now has made his big screen debut he is really moving up the fame ladder now all he needs is to be in a videogame
This is probably one of my favourite icebergs out there. As I'm mostly newish to Marvel and such more specifically being more interested with Spider Man and Venom, this was really insightful and just finding out obscure info is always something I'm into.
Even the most hated and bizarre stories from over the years was really fascinating to hear about. I did grew up on some of the Spidey cartoons, and saw bits and pieces of the movies. It was pretty nostalgic in a way. But I gotta thank the first 2 Venom movies that really got me even more interested than before, besides only having interest in the cartoons instead.
I may be kinda late to it all but it's better late than never and I'm thankfull that I'm trying out new things and realising that I would end up loving it, more than I expected.
Thats all I have to say thank you for reading this very long comment to whoever sees this and thank you for taking the time to read it as well. c:

-Peter, MJ and JJJ were all featured on the cover of her first solo book, with JJJ being a recurring character in its actual stories
-Carol's sidekick for most of the 2000s was Arana/Spider-Girl
-Carol has been besties (with implications of romantic feelings) with Jessica Drew since the eighties
-Carol's debut as Captain Marvel was in an issue of Avenging Spider-Man, seen right before the end of this vid's SpiderCap segment
-even beyond Carol, Monica Rambeau debuted as Captain Marvel in Roger Stern's run on Spider-Man, and Spidey has teamed up with Kamala numerous times

47:51 The Stephen Colbert that appears in this comic is the fictionalized one from television show "the Colbert Report". On that show the real Stephen Colbert would play a fictionalized version of himself that was a right-wing Republican pundit, but also a complete idiot as a means to parody politics. The fictional Colbert actually ran for President in 2008 against Barack Obama. In Marvel comics continuity (which the real Colbert was a big fan of) the fictional Colbert's presidential run was far more successful, but he ultimately still lost to Obama. 2 things, 1: Spider-Lizard did in fact happen in the main 616 timeline (PPTSSM #32-34 & 39-40)! 2: Spider-Man has fought Frankenstein's Monster but NOT in 616. In the Marvel Adventures universe (Earth-20051), Spider-Man & Hawkeye team-up to fight Frankenstein's Monster on Halloween (Marvel Adventures Spider-Man #20)! Bonus in Marvel Adventures Spider-Man #24, the Human Torch merges with Venom after Spidey leaves the symbiote at the Baxter Building. Apparently Johnny's flames didn't bother Venom as you see them flame on in the next panel...
Agent Venom only worked for the government for about 11 issues before he deserted them and did his own stuff. He's extremely underrated.
That burger king ad as was something from hell
Ah Yes, Timothy Harrison. With 2 intelligence.
You know who else has 2 intelligence? Thor Odinson. Think about that one for a hot minute. lmao
Two brain cells.
13:53 and now in the new movie lol
I remember this one Spider-man thing that's not mentioned in this video(maybe it's so obscure, that I'm one of the only 4 people that know about it, or maybe I'm having a case of Mandela effect and it doesn't actually exist), but supposedly, there was an alternate version of the Spider-man Carnage comics(from his introduction all the way to Maximum Carnage) that was pitched that would've been A, a hundred times gorier than what we officially got(think Brutal DOOM and Berserk's violence as a reference point) and B, had a different ending in which Venom kills Carnage by ripping him apart, Venom-bitting his heart and burning his corpse with gasoline. Supposedly, Wolverine and Punisher were originally going to appear in the comic as supporting characters in which Wolverine would've attempted to fight Carnage only for Carnage to effortlessly break his adamantium like it were glass and nearly killing him, while Punisher would've temporarily subdued him with flame-throwers, allowing Spider-man to subdue him, get him thrown back in prison for immediate execution on the electric chair, only for him to escape during said electrocution, killing even more people on his way out. There were supposedly other details as well, such as Spider-man nearly losing his arm in a fight against Carnage, forcing him to go to Doctor Connors for emergency medical aid, an alternate redemption arc for Venom spanning the entire comic all the way up to the previously mentioned Mortal Kombat Fatality of an alternate ending, a mega-ton of uncensored profanity, supposedly including Spider-man himself dropping an F-bomb, a scene where carnage snakes his way into a prison guard, eating him from the inside out(pretty gruesome stuff) and as you've probably assessed from reading this, there was also GORE, LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF GORE! Now like I said before, I could be misremembering all this, in which if I am, I do sincerely apologize. I remember(could be wrong) reading this from a book called Spider-man the Icon. Now if I'm correct, there's a section in the book that talks about it alongside the tie-in game, if I'm wrong, however(which is entirely possible), then I'm either having a very bad case of Mandela effect and/or have gone completely insane.
1:57:32 Venom do be walkin though
I love how most of everything after Tier 2 becomes Incredibly Cursed.
1:33:43 he couldn’t keep a straight face at a guy being bitten by a red and blue spider but he’s fine with “the Green Goblin”
No iceberg video has made me laugh this hard 😂 This dude is funny as hell 😂
1:44:17
With the way he said it, I genuinely thought he was going to say this comic was actually canon and stuff.
Horrible, horrible thought.
I actually watched Spider-Man Unlimited as a kid. It was definitely weird, but I remember it being really good, and the theme song fuckin slaps. Seriously go check it out.
Thank you for explaining where the “Spirit Suit” from the PS4 game came from, when I tell you I saw it and thought ‘this suit is positively unhinged’ and then cried laughing wearing it during a cut scene 😭
Goblin this, Goblin that.
Why can't we have a villain for Into The Goblinverse be a Orc?
So ultimate one?
I still have my Spider-Man workout DVD and mat somewhere. I can't believe people even know about this still.
Always remember that Spider-Man ; a teenager who’s behind on rent and works as a pizza delivery driver, traded 400 Million dollars for an orange
46:35 "It's not always about the money spider-man..."
1:49:37 I would rather read this than read a book about how peter parker was born (Trouble)
Also, I watched the whole video, and you did an amazing job! Your channel is so underrated. GREAT VIDEO!! ❤
46:35 it’s about the Mets baby, love the Mets, alright let’s get a homerun
I first heard about Swarm in a Ghost-Spider comic. The way Peter was explaining Swarm to Gwen was hilarious.
I just believe that Insomniacs PS4 Spider-Man is a continuation of the Spectacular Spider-Man.
I actually saw the extended cut in theaters, it was honestly the definitive version of the movie imo, it's a shame it's not available anywhere
1:01:42 I could be wrong, but I don't think that's sandman's full body. its probably just a piece of him that peter took to study. I imagine he's actually locked up somewhere safer but peter is worried he might still be able to control that small amount of sand, should he open the vial. notice how he says "he's not sure if opening it would set him free". if that were the full, living sandman in there, what would peter have to be sure about? of course opening it would set him free.
"I'd rather have... an orange" is the best sentence written ever
I love how your voice and your laugh man! Such good, high effort videos...
