Yeah, a Spider-Man with a spider-bite was long overdue. The pose was classic Doppelganger, in any case, with the extra arms wildly splayed.
@@MegaZeta Also the entire point of Superior Spider-Man is that he's not a villain. He was created as a result of a villain doing villain things and has all the memories of that villain, but he also has all of the memories of Peter Parker. Calling the Superior Spider-Man "just" Doc Ock in Peter's body is missing the whole "he had the exact same "with great power" realization as Peter _over killing Peter_ because he DLCed all of Peter's memories". Superior Spider-Man is as much as a villain as Eddie Brock after he got over wanting to kill Spider-Man. He killed Peter Parker, realized he was the bad guy all along, and swore to outdo Peter not just out of ego but out of a belief he both can and SHOULD because with great power comes great responsibility. He's a former villain trying to atone, not a villain. He's no more evil than Venom or Tony Stark. He was sorta a Phineas Gage situation before, and cured himself via evil only to then realize what he did.
If I remember correctly, the reason Spidey and other mutated characters aren’t considered Mutants is that the Marvel Universe has two different types of Mutants. Mutants are people born with their powers out of nowhere due to their genes, while Spider-Man and other characters who got their powers by being exposed to something are considered Mutates. So basically: Mutant = born with powers from mutation Mutate = received power after birth from altered genetics At least that’s my best understanding. Spider-Man is more like a meta-human/mutate or potentially a hybrid if the spider bite actually gave him some spider DNA. Mutants specifically have to have the X-gene whether they're born with it or not like Deadpool

The seed for a African American Spider-Man was planted post Raimi trilogy as the movie reboot ideas were brainstormed and one thought was "factors that make Peter Parker's life could reflect a urban youth so maybe Peter Parker should be..", they didn't go for it but Michael Bendis was there since at the time comic people were brought in for superhero movie production before studios went all in on Hollywood writers only for superhero movies. Later down the line Bendis revisited the concept when he caught an episode of Community that begins Donald Glover's character getting out of bed in Spider-Man PJs and thus Miles Morales was on his way. In fact the very scene appears in Into the Spider-Verse as it plays on a background TV when Miles is at his Uncle Arin's apartment.

Next to Goliath, the OG White Tiger, Hector Ayala is also dead and stayed dead ever since. He was gunned down after a court case where Matt Murdock (Daredevil) was his lawyer in a Daredevil comic from 2003. His daughter would become the new White Tiger in 2011. By the way, he was the first hispanic Marvel hero
I know I already made an Elsagate comment, but kindof low key hope now that Elsagate somehow gets referenced in one of the next two Avengers films and/or Beyond the Spider-verse.
That's true! They thought it looked too much like latex, which is why the final version of the symbiote suit uses the texture from the real Spider-Man suit.
Spider-Man: Fake Red is actually about Spider-Man (Peter Parker) disappearing and his suit being found by a random kid who starts pretending to be Spider-Man since, according to Silk, "the city needs a Spider-Man". The real Spider-Man ended up being possessed by the symbiote and turned into Venom. Thankfully in the last few chapters he ends up as the real Spider-Man again.
Spider-sona: when Into the Spider-verse came out in 2018, artists made their own spider people. I'm no exception as I made Harvestman: a Spiderman based off the Harvest man spider
I feel like Venom 3 has be something different, having Toxin be the villain would be predictable. Venomverse or Knull, would be a better idea, and with Venom 2's post credit scene showing the symbiotes share a hive mind across universes, it would be the same knull in every timeline. Hell just bring Topher Grace back for a multiverse film to give that venom a bit more time to shine.
On the other hand… as a lifelong fan of Venom (I have an O.G. copy of _Lethal Protector_ #1 around here somewhere) I read about the “Knull” thing and it convinced me I don’t want to read superhero books anymore, since they seem hopelessly mired in wiki-trivia now. The whole “planet Klyntar” bit of Venom’s story has always been the least interesting part, and the movies have been smart to steer away from that and more toward the dysfunctional relationship.
There are some heavily reliable rumors indicating that Venom 3 is a pseudo-sequel to Madame Web. So Madame Web is about a group of female Spider-People who have to make sure Peter Parker is born, because some mysterious force wants to avoid his existence So Venom 3 takes place in the same universe as Madame Web, AFTER Peter is born - and now Venom has to protect Kid Peter Parker?? And we don't know if whatever wants to kill Kid Peter is the same enemy from Madame Web
2:12:13 I'm guessing The Spider was going to be the Ultimate Ben Reilly. Hear me out. They did the Ultimate Clone Saga without Ben. Now, "The Spider" is actually a pretty used name. Most importantly, right before the 90s Clone Saga. That's what Peter starts calling himself when he rejects being Peter Parker after the robot duplicates of his parents are revealed as robot duplicates. Given the "it" situation, Peter being dead, and the general situation around it with "billionaire plot", plus the general fact that having the reveal be "it's this guy you don't care about" is bad writing, it makes sense that The Spider is Ultimate Ben Reilly.
Incredible video also wow ya don’t realize how many people endgame themselves in comics until you put it in a list I am glad you brought up the Iguana I had no idea it was a comic character but it still felt out of place in a game based off the movie and when I first played it it seemed like Actavision couldn’t afford to get the Lizard name or didn’t want to pay so they just called him Iguana Silk is a favorite of mine hoping she’ll get that show and possibly a movie Cindy Moon is in the Tom Holland films as a classmate of Peter the Gwen verse is interesting Not quite finished yet and delays are holding up most of books currently but was wondering what are your thoughts on the infinity score storyline with Black Cat? And the MJ Black Cat beyond story one shot
1:13:39 It's kinda amazing that out of all the alternate universes to be brought in + all the old plots to be revived, the opportunity for Spider-Man to have a tween sidekick Mayday Parker hasn't been done.
Two notes as I’m watching the video. Miles wasnt Spidey for most of the Ultimate universes’ run. He wasnt introduced until it had already been going for like 10 years, and then was brought into the 616 universe only 4 or 5 years after being created. Also Spidey isnt a mutant at all. Mutants get their power from the X-gene, which they’re all born with. Spidey wasnt born with the X-gene, and only got powers later in life due to the spider bite. He's in the same class as like Captain America or Hulk, characters who gained powers from external means, rather than being born with them.
Oh boy, this came off as an unexpected surprise, i was expecting another monster iceberg to skip. But here we are, a sequel to the best iceberg video in this channel.

Awesome video! Love these icebergs
I only knew the last stand suit from the insomniac game and I just remember hearing everyone refer to it as the CW suit and I've never been able to unsee it
Keep up with the great icebergs man!
I said it once on Twitter and I'll say it again here, Fat Booty Gwen is the GREATEST Mexican export of all time!
The venom let there be Carnage deleted final battle really caught me off guard carnage looks terrifying in those pictures😅
Thanks, i love your superhero icebergs.
Fun fact: the comic accurate SM3 suit wasn’t used because it made Spidey “look like he was in a porno”
Still would’ve been dope
@@Pigpen_YT porno spidey probably would’ve been cooler honestly
That's true! They thought it looked too much like latex, which is why the final version of the symbiote suit uses the texture from the real Spider-Man suit.
Spider-Man: Fake Red is actually about Spider-Man (Peter Parker) disappearing and his suit being found by a random kid who starts pretending to be Spider-Man since, according to Silk, "the city needs a Spider-Man".
The real Spider-Man ended up being possessed by the symbiote and turned into Venom. Thankfully in the last few chapters he ends up as the real Spider-Man again.
Yes that’s what I said. A dude trying to be Spider-Man after finding his suit
Man it really makes me feel good as a Spider-Man fan to know about a lot of the stuff in these icebergs.
Spider-sona: when Into the Spider-verse came out in 2018, artists made their own spider people. I'm no exception as I made Harvestman: a Spiderman based off the Harvest man spider
Love your videos bro keep doing your thing
So Madame Web is about a group of female Spider-People who have to make sure Peter Parker is born, because some mysterious force wants to avoid his existence
So Venom 3 takes place in the same universe as Madame Web, AFTER Peter is born - and now Venom has to protect Kid Peter Parker??
Incredible video also wow ya don’t realize how many people endgame themselves in comics until you put it in a list
I am glad you brought up the Iguana I had no idea it was a comic character but it still felt out of place in a game based off the movie and when I first played it it seemed like Actavision couldn’t afford to get the Lizard name or didn’t want to pay so they just called him Iguana
Silk is a favorite of mine hoping she’ll get that show and possibly a movie Cindy Moon is in the Tom Holland films as a classmate of Peter the Gwen verse is interesting Not quite finished yet and delays are holding up most of books currently but was wondering what are your thoughts on the infinity score storyline with Black Cat? And the MJ Black Cat beyond story one shot
Don't you just love writers giving the most complicated backstories to villains such as... I don't know, fucking Jack O'Lantern.
I love Spidey. Thanks for the vid!
Holy shit I did not expect a part 2 to this, big hype
1:13:39 It's kinda amazing that out of all the alternate universes to be brought in + all the old plots to be revived, the opportunity for Spider-Man to have a tween sidekick Mayday Parker hasn't been done.
Captain America Spider-Monster M-Preg is going to make me take psychic damage for the rest of my life
Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul iceberg. Love your vids

May 5 24 Sunday
