You ever bought a XS650 or any motorcycle that has sat for a long time. You got it to run but it won't go in to gear well here may be away to fix the problem.
I have an xs11 that's been sitting for a while, and you sir just saved me a weekend of ripping into my clutch! I'm sure this is why my clutch won't disengage! I owe you a drink! 🍺
i just received a 1989 goldwing from the mom and dad of my best friend who died in december that had been setting for 3 years.. in honor of him i have been slowly getting it back to running shape... got new tires for it and put them on myself..(im 60 so you can do it.. lol)... new brakes.. new airfilter.. oil change.. antifreeze change.. cleaned for a week on it.. finally got the carbs cleaned and started with new battery.. drained all brake fluid from masters to brakes and had to rebuild the clutch slave cylinder as it had been leaking and was the reason the bike got parked in the first place.. rebuilt it and got it working only to have the problem of it wanting to start moving when put in first gear with the clutch pulled in... thats how i came upon this video because i knew the slave and master was working because i could hear it while bleeding the line... had it on its mainstand and was going to try this method to see if it would work and while putting it into first gear for the umpteenth time the clutch finally broke free.. the gears were grinding as i was trying to put it in gear and when it did it broke loose.. drove it down the road for a couple miles with a smile on my face and knowing my friend was smiling upstairs... hard work pays off in my opinion.. thanks for the tip... i was thinking a master cylinder rebuild was in order instead of just a stuck clutch pack.
A rob i wants to say thank you very much I have a 1100 Honda I followed your directions o for about 1 1/2 hours I worked with the clutch and the rear brake thanks a lot it’s funny my cousin Ray New I had a issue with my bike well he texted me this morning and put me on your site thanks again and thanks to my cousin Again
Thanks a lot for your video Mr. Miyagi. I bought a 2001 Triumph Legend 900 that was sitting for a long time and you just save the time and effort of pulling that clutch apart. God bless you and Merry Christmas.
Nice channel. I had 650 xs1b when I was in highschool. Later in I got a 1980 special. Went through a lot of cluch plates on the xs1b . From doing wheelies. Crack the fiber disk in two. Even bent a shift fork one day doing one. Ya back in the day , all fun. Good thing i worked for a yamaha shop it keep the repair cost down. I now have two xs1b 71 and one 70 green white. Working on one to get it running. The other two are barn finds, complete but need serious work to restore. Keep up the good work on putting info out there.
I bought my 1980 XS650 as a barn find, and went through it with the intention of my wife riding it. So, now I have to find another, because I'm riding this one! Maybe she'll get an XS400 or a LTD454 or something. This bike is just too much fun to ride.
Just make sure you lifted off the ground so the rear tire can turn fire that thing up bump that break you make killed a couple of times they will break base. Thanks for watching
Would this apply to a XV250 as well? I noticed if I put it in gear try to push it it's hard to push with the clutch in rolls fine in neutral but clutch isn't engaging enough to push it in gear or is this normal with the bike not running I've not got it started yet and it's sat since last summer still trying to get a ignition switch seller lost the keys
Hi i got a 06 honda cbr 600rr The bike in gear when pulled in clutch does not want to rol back then stalls And now the bike wont start in neutral on when clutch is pulled in and when putted into gear ot stalls...
Not much detail and what happened were you kicking it or you using electric start, who worked on the bike before you, did it work before you touched it?
@@outlaw86custom yes it started wonderfully prior to. The second attempt to unstuck I heard a bang. Now I no longer can kick start my bike as it's not turning the engine. If I rotate the tire in gear the crank turns, same with turning the ignition shaft as does the rear wheel so I'm assuming clutch is still stuck but bigger problems have occurred. It's a kz650, 1978

Hi there! Is it much of an advantage to warm engine up first?
Yes, I think it cuts down on engine wear , anyway I always warm the engine up... thanks for watching.

Should work on most bikes. Thanks for watching
Nice info. What is meant by rephased?
It's modifications of the cam and crankshaft from 360deg rotation to 277deg. It's an old flat trick for racing.
Thanks for watching.

Well to tell you the truth I'm not real familiar with that bikes clutch system what's the manual say?
Okay tried this and something went real bad. A loud noise and my kick start doesn't turn the engine anymore. What happened

whats up with that white and blue chop at the beginning that thing is cool!
That old white and blue bike was supposedly owned by Cheech of Cheech and Chong had it for a while and a buddy wanted it so it's sold it to him.
Cool videos. I just got a 1980 xs650. Do you have any videos how too get tdc and installing a xscharge pma and xscharge ignition system battery less?
After the first of the year I will be putting together a video on this subject.
I'll be doing a video on this subject after the first of the year.
Team Miyagi awesome sounds good thank you
What forward kit are you using on your xs650..?
I built my own because I can and it's pretty simple you can do it too. I suppose now you want me to do a video on it hahaha.
