I appreciate you posting these match videos. I’m feeling more comfortable about shooting my first mid-range match coming up on 9/24. You talking through this video and the one from nationals last year will hopefully help me spot trends so I don’t fall victim of chasing my spotter. Thanks again!!

I love how you handled that traffic circle at the beginning...just zipped right in there without stopping like so many in US do. The 'Yield' sign means don't enter if you going to hit someone doing so...not stop and wait for most, if not all, of the circle to be empty.
Thank you. Yeah, it can be frustrating if they don’t know how to use a traffic circle.
I learned how to do a 'roundabout' in England back in the 80's...they know how to maximize the throughput on that type of traffic control...
I hate those circle jerks most people can't figure em out here I see em just going around and around lol

So the Bench rest guys shoot 1000 yds and F-Open shoots 997 yds? ;)
What is meant by I knew I was shooting a big gun?
It means I knew my gun was shooting larger sized groups than I wanted. For instance a ‘small gun’ would be something that’s shooting inside the X ring. This gun was barely shooting inside the 10 ring which is pretty big for what we do.

Any results for the match posted anywhere?
Would love to know how you shot a miss because I had that happen to me in a state match. I was leading by 10 going into the last match and was adjusting the rifle and I think I accidentally touched the trigger. My process was adjusted so this will not happen again. I feel for you!
I wasn't paying attention and it's a new stock so my hand got just a little too close to the trigger before I was ready. Normally I return to battery pretty centered up but this whole match I was fighting what I call the 'typewriter' meaning the kept having to smack my rest. Turns out I needed to adjust the butt pad a little which I now have sorted out.
The final target sure looked like it should have scored 197 rather than 187. I don’t shoot F Class so I may not understand the scoring.
I shot a miss on that target so that’s an automatic loss of ten points.

John you had one of those days. Frustrating sport. I can shoot equiv to you clean then drop 5. That's what why we do it.
