I was like Marvin. He obviously loved balloons. And wanted nothing to with breaking balloons. When I was little I thought it was naughty to break balloons and that the only people that broke balloons didn’t like them. He gave him every opportunity to break balloons and he didn’t want to. He should have been given a big balloon to take home to play with. 🎈I like to keep them in the air and the way they sounded too.

I am like Marvin too. I love balloons and I don’t want balloons to be popped. When I was small, I thought that is naughty and cruel to break balloons. I thought balloons should never be broken intentionally because they are beautiful.

I wish someone wouldve asked marvin why he was so cautious about not popping the balloons yet had no problem hitting tapping pushing etc the adult for popping the balloon. They are focused on him not having agression toward the ballon yet he did toward human.

Marvin pushed adult away because Marvin would protect balloons from breaking. Marvin may think that he is right to do so. He just stopped adult to do the naughty thing (break a ballon).

they already sounded way to confident of what the experiment would mean regardless of any variables in the explanation, but when he started talking... it's completely driven, he only thing this means is how the kid interpreted what the guy talking wanted to do in the game

There was a lot of suggestion Being used To the children by the adults. I think we can all agree that children love balloons in general and also love Popping them, whether they're the ones doing it or someone else does it. I don't see how this reflects on their aggression whatsoever. I think this was a terrible case Study.

Perhaps I would have been the odd kid, but I’d have ZERO interest in busting a balloon... I never cared for the obnoxiously loud sound or the resulting pinch you’d get from the latex snapping against your skin. I’d be like, “get me out of this hell hole you morons... I want to go color or play with playdough”

The argument the person makes in comparing this situation with watching a football match and going home to relax because they now have redirected their aggression is very weak ,since every stat shows that during football season the domestic abuse rate goes exponentially higher than any other time. Also There is only one gender participant in this video, furthermore they did not explain that , is it the case, that Marvin was regularly punished if he spilled milk or broke a glass while playing with his ball etc etc as he showed a lot of aggression towards the experimenter for popping the balloons. Or the reason is that Marvin is intelligent and doesn't want the randomly flying skin of popped balloon to hit him in the face for instance so on. Hence many other reasons (cases) have been ignored or neglected in the experiment. Therefor the inference /s that the researcher claims on the relation between aggression and destructive impulses is/are invalid or very singularly specific at best...
