Have to say, evga z15 is a great value. You can buy it for $45, hotswap, compatible with all 3 pin raised LED switches and a 4k hz polling rate. Downsides are the speed switches, though you can get used to it, and the board has hotswap,) the stabs, it only being 3 pin, not 5 pin, having raised LEDs, having north facing switches(though some might consider it an upside) and the fact that it is a full size board. I know you can't cover every keyboard out there... but leaving the Durgod Taurus K320 (TKL) and K310 (Full size) keyboards out of this round-up is a bit of an oversight. Just solid, well-made keyboards with double-shot PBT keycaps. And best of all... no RGB!
I absolutely love the countdown timers you have added, especially to the ad spots (i know them all by heart, unless it's a brand new one ofcourse). Thankyou
While it could be way better, I love the low profile of the Logitec G915 / G915 TKL. Once I got used to it, I find regular key heights annoying. Maybe it is because I go from laptop to desktop and back again, so the low profile is more consistent with the way a laptop feels.
Hey, Brian. I am glad that I am not the only one in this. I do my work on company laptop 9 to 5 and when I game in the evening on my regular keyboard keys it feels very clumsy and my fingers keep tripping over on transition between different keys when I am typing (for gaming it is fine as it is). @@TomasPiliponis I got the clicky version last week. Most comfortable keyboard I've ever owned and the lighting is fantastic, but the Logitech software sucks. It keeps them on the default keys and doesn't even light up all the frequently used keys in the game. It also makes it hard to create your own lighting for the game because it doesn't recognize the game in the software profile list, you have to add it manually

@@ruifilipe4893 there are many options with a wide variety of prices for a custom board. Cheaper doesn’t always mean worse, but usually it requires a hell of a lot more modding in order to make it sound or feel as good as a higher end board. Cannonkeys has some extras of the ikki68 in mint, a very customizable and affordable board. There’s plenty of other polycarbonate, entry level boards that are out (kbd67 lite, portico65, aforementioned ikki68, and plenty others) but they may not be available. What most custom KB dont have over gaming KB is latency. Even on cable Razer and Logitech can go as low as 1-2ms. While most customs are above 10ms with some at 20ms and more. So gaming KB still have a place.
@@ruifilipe4893 If you wanna get into customs, I highly recommend you check out the kbd67 lite as a starting point. It start's at $130 and is by far my pick for the best entry level keyboard, and you can get some nice budget switches from Akko's CS switch lineup. Keycaps are all up to you, but I built mine for cheaper than some of the more expensive gamer boards like the Apex Pro and G915. It's also a lot nicer and sounds fantastic. Customs are expensive but there are a lot of entry-level options out there now, compared to a year ago the custom keyboard market has come really far and is more affordable than ever.
@@FTWGame0N I've been using customs for competitive gaming and have not noticed any difference at all for competitive gaming (I play a lot of CS:GO). All that latency stuff is hogwash. And if the latency is really bothering you, which I highly highly doubt you'd even notice a difference, you can just change the polling rate through QMK. It's really not a big deal.
8:37 Numpads..and macros! I think one row of macros is really useful, I couldn't go back anymore, but there aren't many keyboards with them. These "mini" keyboards make sense if you need them..but I see huge multi monitor desks, with a little keyboard, with no numpads, no macros, no functions, I don't see the point.
They almost all have shortcuts and the ability to do almost all of the same functions, albeit in a less convenient, slower way. I have a TKL 915 that I use for work, but for gaming and general browsing, 60% keebs are just better, more maneuverable and leave your space feeling nice and clean and uncluttered. Plus aesthetic, I think keyboards bigger than a TKL are super ugly looking especially when in a minimalist environment.
Totally agree lol, purchased the Keychron K4 which is a 96% percent keyboard as I use numpad quite a lot for work, great keyboard with brown switches that doesn’t take up too much space and retains all the functionality I need, multi monitor, big desk user here lol
This was useful. Thank you! I finally found a good quality _pink_ keyboard (Varmilo VA87M) for my gaming daughter. Now I need to find a good _wireless_ mechanical keyboard to replace my Logitech G613. I don't need (or even vaguely want) battery-sucking rgb but I definitely want something with more robust keys than the fragile Romer keys. In 45 years of typing, I've never had a keyboard break before. For your next review, please cover wireless keyboards. Thanks!

Your lighting and video quality looks superb. I have seen your video from 6 years ago on tips for video. Have you done one lately? If not is one coming up or could you recommend a source for ideas that you would have used if any specific one. Thanks.
I'm wanting to buy the Razer Huntsman now. Which one should I go for? The original TE or the V2. P.S. I have never used mechanical keyboards in my life and this is my first one, will use for primarily gaming.
Wish you'd made this video a few days ago, I just bought a Razer Huntsman TE. I don't regret it; I actually like the speed, responsiveness and even the sound (Although I wear a headset for the most part). My only regret is that I wanted a keyboard with a volume knob and there wasn't any in the range I was looking for. The Steelseries Apex pro was too much, and the other choices were worse (G413, TUF K3). Looking at this video, there are quite a few keyboards with volume knobs that fit what I was looking for. Oh well.
I'm just satisfied that the wooting gets mentioned at all, unlike the video from randomfrank where it got stone 0 mention of its existence while he listed off generic gaming brand keyboards in his keyboard top 10
I've had the Pulsar Lunar Alloy TKL for a year and 1 month and love it....good design, good stabs (stock lubed), etc; awesome build for $50! no complaints and no failures so far.
I get the Xtrfy K4 last September because of your previous Xtrfy K4 review video, although the sound is much different from yours, I love it nonetheless
New Camera or just the set? That vidlooks ridiculously crisp lol. How you dudes manage to get known for crazy good aesthetics and still make it better year on year.
So I've been having the Drevo BladeMaster Pro (TKL) keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches, US Layout (my 1st mechanical kb and went recommended approach on switches). I'm happy with it so far, but decided to try others at my friend's suggestion. I recently got the K100 and, boy, it's big vs a TKL, furthermore I got it on UK layout (no other option where I live). I love the switches (linear Optic, etc), but the keys seem crammed up somehow (maybe it's the layout), I couldn't get used to the small left shift-bar, so I decided to look for a TKL (for space) and been researching ton of reviews (rtings included) including your videos (which are great BTW!). I didn't want to go on the rabbit whole of custom kbs and decided not to spend a fortune on it. You almost convinced me to order the Razer Huntsman 2 (TKL) for the acoustics and optical switches, but ended up ordering yesterday the Corsair K70 TKL (US layout) - speed switches, my friend was crazy in love with his K70 and convinced me to give it a try. I hope it's a good choice.
@Hardware Canucks WOW!!! Idk how I'd never heard/seen of the Shurikey Hanzo's!? They're SO UNIQUE!!! I LOVE THE LOOK! Needless to say they're virtually IMPOSSIBLE to find anywhere In-Stock!? But still, THANK YOU, for introducing me to this INCREDIBLY UNIQUE looking keyboard; I have to find one now!
Great boards, but one thing thats never mentioned it some of the larger brands have much better processing (hardware and software). For example all though corsairs boards are a bit dated they have one of the lowest end to end latency. I love your channel i know its a lot of work but that would be awesome to see in the future.
Everest Max's wheel + Rog Claymore II detachable numpad, RGB and design + Mode65 thocky sound = near perfection. Add ABNT2 standard (I'm Brazilian) PBT RGB compatible keycaps, low profile straight TKL solid as rock body and a detachable USB-C cable = perfection.
Good information here. I'll check a few of these keyboards out. Daily living, something with cherry browns but my gaming keyboard is a cheap, Havit KB 390L. I love the short quick travel distance for quick response (bottom out). Very light, fast touch. Key caps are single shot (phifft) and one key lost some paint on the corner. Using it for 4 years. Kailh Blue switches are good for me.
My two favourite keyboards are my ducky One SF with MX Speed switches and my EVGA Z20 Optical Linear, even bought a second one for another PC! I can't even imagine still using MX Reds.

I just bought Corsair K100, and i love it, and that dial numb for lightning is not that wonky in my case.
Shurikey Hanzo looks awesome!! I used the cherry mx silent red switches on an varmilo keyboard and they were excellent (especially the stabs). Thinking about getting the ec v2 rose switches version of the hanzo. So stroked 😮
Seems like everyone slept on the Keychron C1. Its a TKL board with good stabs and decent keycaps for being ABS. Though the switch options aren't great there's a hotswap version for only $50. I picked up one and put some lubed glorious pandas and PBT keycaps and now it sounds and feels amazing. Definitely a very underrated keyboard.

Yo i just joined the pc scene and got my basic starter set up together. I ordered a RK (Royal kludge) keyboard and im not too versed in keyboards, but i enjoy it. Would like your take it on tho if you ever tried it.
I'm sticking with my Huntsman keyboards. I have a mini at home and a TKL for work and they're just great. Hard to go back after using optical switches and I don't mind the sound profile on a desk mat at all.

Thanks!
Rocking the Keychron K8 RGB hot-swappable with Gateron Browns. and I'm loving it so far!
I recently bought an Anne pro 2 with gateron reds as my first 60% keyboard, and I'm loving it. The only downside is that is not hot swappable, but for around 70 bucks, it was a great buy.
I think I’m good with my Dell keyboard I don’t need some fancy keyboards
Just good old Dell
@@Villager6883 Well yes of course these are more luxury than anything but for people who spend a lot of their time of the computer there's no reason not to get it.
Kinda sad you didn't include KBD67 lite r3 from KBDfans it's a pretty good contender to nk65! It's a solid board!
That honest chuckle at how good those stabs sound on the Shurikey
and to think i just bought a k95 platinum and never saw the k100 down at microcenter. definitely keep this k95 for as long as i can, absolutely love the mx speed switches
I ordered the wooting 2 he and it’s coming in April so excited
Would like to see you diving into the space of ergo keyboards as well.
For me I went with SteelSeries Apex Pro. Razer is too loud for me, I'm afraid of Crosair and HyperX. Wanted Logitech, but it lacks some feature and SteelSeries Apex Pro was best choice for me.
I got a G915 during boxing week... fantastic keyboard but I just could not live with the disappointing G hub experience, the mini usb instead of usb c and a non-braided included cable...... ON a $350 PRODUCT. Oh my goodneses it was a great keyboard but wow what a disappointment in the feature set. Returned in, trying to find the G815 on sale somewhere now.
You guys are the best keyboard reviewers around and I hope you have a great 2022!
Decided to treat myself to a Keychron K4 as i can’t do away with numpad due to work requirements, never looked back, quality is awesome and using browns feel so satisfying
i rly rly enjoyed how you explained all of that. simple, visual, slow. perfect.
Welcome to the rabbit hole of custom keyboards!
That Falchion has some scratchiness and rattle though... good luck modding those switches and stabs...
I purchased a Fnatic Streak 65 LP in black. It hasn’t arrived yet, but I’m very excited. It will be my first keyboard designed for a satisfying typing experience.
Ohhh you're gonna love it! The low-profile travel and keycaps are really easy to get used to plus the whole thing feels so well built. Have fun :)

@@HardwareCanucks Thanks for replying and thanks a lot for your videos. I have really enjoyed them!
You are putting more personality and swing in this friendly video !!
I like that 👍
Your lighting and video quality looks superb. I have seen your video from 6 years ago on tips for video. Have you done one lately? If not is one coming up or could you recommend a source for ideas that you would have used if any specific one. Thanks.
MAN perfect timing for that video
Incredible video mate, well done.
THE VID I WAS LOOKING FOR...THANKS!!!
Just got the ROG Falcion. Haven't had a chance to use it yet but I'm excited to set up custom uses for the slider bar on the side.
I'm wanting to buy the Razer Huntsman now. Which one should I go for? The original TE or the V2.
P.S. I have never used mechanical keyboards in my life and this is my first one, will use for primarily gaming.
This year i bought Red Square Keyrox TKL Classic - one of the best budget tkl keyboard on Gateron Yello switches.
Hey, I want to buy this one. Where did you get it?
Wish you'd made this video a few days ago, I just bought a Razer Huntsman TE. I don't regret it; I actually like the speed, responsiveness and even the sound (Although I wear a headset for the most part). My only regret is that I wanted a keyboard with a volume knob and there wasn't any in the range I was looking for. The Steelseries Apex pro was too much, and the other choices were worse (G413, TUF K3). Looking at this video, there are quite a few keyboards with volume knobs that fit what I was looking for. Oh well.
The Huntsman TE is awesome though ... good choice for sure!

hardware canuck's video presentation and quality is top notch
I'm just satisfied that the wooting gets mentioned at all, unlike the video from randomfrank where it got stone 0 mention of its existence while he listed off generic gaming brand keyboards in his keyboard top 10
I am absolutely in love with my custom GMMK TKL with gateron yellow switches. Typing on a cloud!🤩🤩
The gmmk pro and the Logitech 815/915 and other custom boards smash 95% of this list.
I've had the Pulsar Lunar Alloy TKL for a year and 1 month and love it....good design, good stabs (stock lubed), etc; awesome build for $50! no complaints and no failures so far.
Dat MODE65 tho. SHEEEEESH
It's very much sheesh indeed. The best keyboard i've typed on to-date.
-D.
No new gear - just still learning to use proper lighting.

I'm still using my Cougar Attack X3 RGB. As long as it works I won't change it. Does everything I need to do.
im now using the hyperx alloy origins core and its amazing. Definitely my fav keyboard to date.
Which keys ?
@@Recorrdas hyperx reds forgot to type it
i got it as well with the hyperx reds. it sounds really good with minimal modifications.
has bad stabilizers though as someone who has used it
@@BA-oy9uo True, any keyboard from major brands have bad stabs and sound hollow af
@Hardware Canucks
WOW!!!
2:30 Keyboards never sleep they have 2 shift Hahaha
That joke flew way over my head!
Can you do a video on your setup?
@@JosephReference
Yeah, but it's not that great.
I don't have those keyboards.
I Bought A Ducky One 2 Mini 60% a year ago and its Amazing Silent switches Great Quality and i still love it
the kbd67lite is a killer entry custom board for $120 barebones they sound very very good for the price
Love my GMMK TKL with Box pink silents. Crisp and quiet.
There we go, I feel like Glorious kinda got shafted here. Especially since they have a new chassis out that is worth talking about.
Shurikey Hanzo looks awesome!! I used the cherry mx silent red switches on an varmilo keyboard and they were excellent (especially the stabs). Thinking about getting the ec v2 rose switches version of the hanzo. So stroked 😮
Picked up a Ducky One Two Mini with Kailh Jade switches and man does it feel great. Need to use more force than im used to but getting used to it.
Definitely a very underrated keyboard.
after 5 years with corsair starf (brown switch) i bought hunsman mini (red switch), using it for the last 2 weeks, and i like it so much
Nice, i took up the epos H6pro from your head phone review!
Hi. Can i ask what is the best large gaming pad for you? Or what do you recommend? Thanks a lot
I have too many Varmilo Miya Pros because they are just WAY too underrated. Also, what is the mousepad you have at 6:17? It looks wicked!
This is more interesting than usual *Best GPU* round-up we usually get from another video review.
Best silent keyboard ?? an advice ? TKL or 65% !!!
Any board with mx silent reds
Nice bro , can you do computer speakers please like shelf speakers etc and Bluetooth options
beautifully made the video!
Best gaming keyboard? My budget is aroun $ 250usd. Any suggestions? The corsairs are really nice
Built a GMMK Pro this year with Zealios V2s and aura keycaps. Spent a good bit on it, but man is it worth the money.
Deciding between the Streak65 and Huntsman Mini for moslty travelling. Any other tips? I guess the Mini is by far the lightest?
Just got my first 65%, Ducky One 2 SF with MX silent reds, takes some time getting used to but it feels great. Sadly the 3 wasn’t available yet in Germany
“They have two shifts.” Holy cow!
Yay for the Shurikey. Love the switches.
I needed 2 inexpensive keyboards, good call on the Pulsar Lunar Alloy with the Red linear switches!
Hard to go back after using optical switches and I don't mind the sound profile on a desk mat at all.
royal kludge RK 65 is an amazing budget keyboard check it out if you need a compact wireless daily beater. I am a programmer and this is my keyboard I use for work. been using it about 6 months now and I love it! comes factory with gatoron switches but its hotswap. thinking about trying some kailh box switches next. also factory double shot keycaps for a keyboard under 60 dollars!
I wish 75% keyboards would become more mainstream. I can’t live without dedicated function keys.
