You did an excellent job of covering all the important aspects of the car in a very concise and unpretentious review. I purchased it based on this review and I love it.
Picked up my Luxury 3 AWD in Argent Silver with light grey interior. Car looks like a spaceship. Drives and handles well in straight lines, but it turns heavy and is not very sporty. MAGNERIDE might help it a lot.
as a new saleman i can say i am absolutely enjoying fully immersing myself in the lyriq such an awesome car..Of course its going to have things that everyone is a fan of..But you gotta ask yourself is it worth not buying it for that? Lyriq is an amazing EV and they are only going to get better! Wiz I really enjoyed your presentation of this vehicle. You made a fan of me today!!! Keep it up!
Great comprehensive review. Baby boomer here...the Drive,Park stalk~ what a throwback! yikes..could I get used to that again?? Haven't had that since my 1991 Dodge Caravan to haul a few kids around :-) Will look to see if you have a Tesla Model Y review.
Yea definitely a throwback! I actually do have a model Y review you can check out in the Electric Vehicle playlist. Thanks for stopping by the channel!
1. That charging port opening frame rate is gross. 2. For the price point I'd expect the Range Rover collapsible style door handles vs a manual lever. 3. A little too much piano black on spots fingerprints collect. 4. They definitely seem to have shortchanged the "luxe" feel of the backseats 5. HUD? 6. Despite all those complaints, this car is gorgeous and awesome haha. Hopefully they're able to iterate on some of the flaws over the next 2-3 years.
A couple of things I see missing from this trim level. No supercruise built-in. Would have been a green led stripe on the steering wheel. No HUD, No 19 speaker AKG system (Speakers in the headrest), no opening moon roof, and no trizone controls for the rear seats. I ordered the AWD Luxury 3 trim in stellar black with the 22"rollers. I am currently waiting for my delivery. Hopefully, Oct. Nov. Btw I think GM has a fix for the charging issues. I think they are going with a new charger nozzle that can be used with the Telsla infrastructure. From what I am hearing, it should be standard come 2025 models. I know it will be available for the 2025 Escalade IQ, which will be available in 2024.
I will copy and paste the latest info on the Hud system from GM Overall it is a NO ! To me cadillac lyriq is a great product with great looks They did a fantastic job on it. But why leave out a hud system? Saftey is a#1 issue Keep your head up Thank you Mon, Jan 1, 4:51 AM (2 days ago) to me According to a post on Cadillac Owners Forum, the availability of the Heads-Up Display (HUD) on the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq is still uncertain1. However, a recent post on the same forum suggests that the 2024 Lyriq manual has a section on HUD1. The manual mentions that the HUD will be available on the Sport 3 and Luxury 3 trims, while the other trims will receive a standard HUD1. It is important to note that the information in the manual is subject to change and may not be accurate1 The Cadillac Lyriq serves as Caddy’s very first all-electric production model, offering up a long list of high-tech features. That said, one glaring omission from the Lyriq’s feature list is a head-up display (HUD), something which the Lyriq’s platform-mate, the all-new Chevy Blazer EV, does offer. With that in mind, we think it’s high time that GM offers a HUD for the Cadillac Lyriq. Critically, the Cadillac Lyriq does not offer a HUD, despite riding on the same GM BEV3 platform as the Chevy Blazer EV. As GM Authority covered back in March, it was originally believed that the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq would offer a HUD, specifically a display with augmented reality technology developed in collaboration with U.K.-based tech startup Envisics. Now, however, it turns out this is not the case, and the Lyriq still does not offer a HUD, nor has Cadillac set a date for the introduction of a HUD for the Lyriq in the future. Of course, all this begs the question - does the Cadillac Lyriq really need a HUD? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below, and remember to subscribe to GM Authority for more Cadillac Lyriq news, Cadillac news, GM technology news, GM electric vehicle news, and around-the-clock GM news coverage. Vote is in 86% yes Does the Cadillac Lyriq need a head-up display? Absolutely! It definitely needs one. 86% No, not really that important. 14% For those readers who may be unaware, a HUD is typically a digital readout that projects useful information onto the windshield. The information is displayed just within the driver’s line of sight so as not to block their view of the road, while still providing information closer to their view than the gauge cluster behind the wheel. This technology is particularly useful for things like navigation directions, vehicle speed, or safety system warnings, as it allows the driver to view the information without taking their eyes off the road. The Chevy Blazer EV offers a HUD (RPO code UV6) as part of the RS Convenience and Driver Confidence Package (RPO code ZL5), which is bundled together with several other safety and convenience features, including Adaptive Cruise Control (RPO code KSG), Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking (RPO code UGN), a Rear Camera Mirror (RPO code DRZ), and more. @@viper1213
Longer adjustable bench for leg support on taller drivers please. Also the display is rather dim in daylight mode. Side by side comparison with the BMW IX you could clearly see how dim the display is. I found it to be the same in person.
Thank you for the review but some of your specs were off. Cadillac is known for handling the road. Was there any storage space under the hood of the vehicle? Lol, I just pulled up another video that answered my question. I would not recommend the base model of this vehicle and the charging is pretty bad. $67,000 Cadillac is losing money on this and the Hummer.
you still get about 70 miles in 10 minutes with dc fast charge still very impressive..also you can also set it up that the car knows when youre going to charge and it will begin to prep the battery making the fast charging a lot faster
Good review. The interior is just so-o plush. It's not bling or over the top in any way but it's classy & comfortable looking. Marques Brownlee says so too and he is exceptionally digitally well informed. But posting this up in 1080p? Come on man. That's positively bleary by today's 4k standards.
This is a US spec model, it's likely that they will eventually offer it in your region and adapt it to the market. There are lots of American cars sold overseas with features we can't even get here, their planning and marketing strategy are complex and probably sometimes not ideal, but I don't think it is disdain for the Israeli market. Companies just want to sell things, they don't care about the race, religion or politics of those who buy it. Peace.
Best review of this car I’ve seen so far, thanks!

Picked up mine 2 days ago. Opulent Blue. First after constraint . The better of the two versus Mach-e std range. Just a nice car.
Congrats!! Hope you are enjoying it thus far! Also thanks for checking out my review!

Nice video. I like the drone shots. But did you say 57 for AWD? Tell me where. I paid 63 for RWD but has supercruise, AKG sound, etc.
no super curise for this ver?
Correct ✅
It’s buggy I heard
How did you get that grill model is that I haven’t seen a Grill anywhere else???
That’s for the Sport trim. The trim also removes a lot of the chrome.

Your videos are amazing. I really like it. I am a new subscriber to your channel. Can I talk with you Wiz?
This is the Sport 1 which is a bare bones version. The sport 2 add a lot of great features that’s are missing here

Is there HUD option in the Lyriq I didn't see it when ordering

Rear seat climate controls on the upper trims.
I have a Lux 3. There's no rear climate control like in my aun'ts Premium Luxury XT5. It's not an option.
How much u think I can put down 10k-15k?
You can put down whatever you can afford if you a financing but if you are leasing i’d put down way less and keep the cash for the payments
They gotta fix that janky charge door.

Thanks for checking out my review. For future reference if there is a font trunk i usually call it out because i’m a fan of them.
I almost went for the grey but found it a bit boring.
Music used is annoying…
It didn’t even make you want to dance just a little bit? 🕺🏿🕺🏿

כמה חבל שגם כן שכחו את הקונים מישראל ולא דאגו לתרגם את המכונית לעברית בושה בושה על הזלזול בקונים בישראל

Jellybean, single screen, plastic fit/form non-organic design, appliance on/off drivers gona h8t! Pray Bless Live Love Life-in LYRIC LUXE (PBL3-Ly-Luxe)!!
The AWD Lyriq isn't nowhere near as close to acceleration to a Tesla Model Y Performance edition.
i never said the performance version but the long rang yes
Why does no one talk about the lack of technology in this car----Doesnt even have UA-cam, Netflix, etc.
The market may be shifting toward electrification, but I never will.
Door handles and charger door needs to be changed
So does the rather short bench on the seats. Not long enough for taller drivers.
