- The World of Hyatt may be the best hotel card that Chase has to offer. Let's explore why this credit card is so valuable.

The World of Hyatt Credit Card will earn you points on the following:
4x at Hyatt
2x at Restaurants
2x on Airfare (purchased directly with airlines)
2x on Local Transit & Commuting (taxis, mass transit, tolls, ride share services, etc.)
2x on Fitness Club & Gym Memberships
1x on Everything Else
The reward multipliers may be lower than other hotel credit cards BUT Hyatt points are worth on average 1.7 cents per point. This is a big deal because other hotel points such as Marriott and Hilton are worth less than 1 cent per point. The value of Hyatt points is enormous.
You can use your Hyatt points to book rooms, transfer to airline credit, or convert it to Hyatt credit that can be used for things such as dining, spa, parking, etc.
The World of Hyatt has a $95 annual fee but the #1 most valuable benefit that this card has to offer is its 1 Free Night Award. You get this award once every cardmember anniversary. You can use this free night at any Category 1-4 Hyatt hotel. If the average Hyatt room rate is $200 a night, you will get over $100 of extra value from that benefit. This will EASILY make up for the $95 annual fee. If you book a room that usually costs more than $200/night then you are giving yourself more value.
I believe if you can stay at a Hyatt category 1-4 hotel at least once a year, the World of Hyatt card will be of value to you.

Thanks for the review!
My pleasure! Thank you for watching 👍🏽
Felt slightly bamboozled with the fact that you’re rewarded bonus points not base points towards Hyatt status. Only base points for count towards tier status. Was looking to reach explorist status by using this as my daily use card. The annual reward room pays for the annual fee so it may stay in the wallet
It's a good card because of the free nights. The multipliers suck and even though the points are worth more then Hilton pts, Hilton usually gives a better sign up bonus and the multipliers are much better. Another reason I got the Hilton Surpass card over this one is that there are way more Hilton brand hotels to choose from.
You are right, the amount of locations available can play a huge factor when it comes to choosing the right card. Honestly I am planning on getting cards in Hyatt, Marriott, and Hilton sometime in the next year. Thanks for sharing 🙏🏽
This card is worth it. I’ve stayed at some nice hotels when using my free anniversary night…parking even got to be free! The breakfast is hit or miss but usually all I need is coffee and a toast. Some (Panamá) have an omelette station. I haven’t been traveling much but Iam stacking points for a really nice trip✈️ 🌍 130,000 points and counting.
Oooooo very nice to hear! 👀 Im glad that you make it REALLY worth it! 🔥
This is a card I’ve heard a lot about but haven’t been traveling enough yet to consider it. I think it’ll be one I get down the line though depending on how my travel changes. Thanks for the video!
It's great if you travel with Hyatt 🤷🏽♂️ But other general travel cards make more sense when you aren't loyal to a specific brand or don't travel too often. I dont have a Hotel card yet either 😬 Thank you for watching Spencer 🤙🏽
Get it and stack your points. Hopefully you’ll get a nice sign on bonus.
@@KamilW257 That's the goal!! It's in my plans for sure.
Sebby never touched on these travel partners... now we know why!
Sebby is GOATed
Great video! 2 questions:
1st - Can the nights be accumulated through the years ?
2nd Supposing if I get the credit card today I can use the free night instantly or do I most wait a year ?
No, they can not. The Free night awards (from anniversary year & spend) will expire 12 months after they are issued. Therefore you can not stack them up over the years.
The first free night will be given to you 12 months after you get accepted. NOT the day you are initially accepted.
It seems like a great hotel card to have. I really don't stay in hotels when I travel so I actually have no hotel branded cards 🤷🏽♂️ I'm 4/24 right now and debating the United MileagePlus or or the Freedom Flex.. Aye Chase 👊🏽💥 great as always brodie
ya i usually stay at airbnbs 😬 oooo you know I will lean towards the freedom flex 😅 but depends how often you travel with United. Anyway thank you for always supporting me Mike! 🙏🏽
Whichever you do, get both in the long run. I always lean towards flexible currency cards if I'm in a pinch. Freedom Flex first!
i would honestly get the unlimited, flex, and preferred or reserve first before getting travel partners. build up a lot of points and then get a travel partner good for you
Great video! Do you know if I can transfer the signup bonus out to AA for status?
You can transfer Hyatt Points to AA miles but it won't give you status.
Hi Chase. I’m new to the adult world of credit cards lol. 26 years old and my cards include apple, Best Buy (regrets) and care credit. Until this month, I received the Quicksilver and Sapphire card to start accumulating points. I wish I knew of the Freedom Flex prior to receiving the Quicksilver card to bundle points… but now that I do, would you recommend applying for the Freedom Flex card even though I’ve just received those two cards? Or just stick with what I have now?
Thanks for all the advice you post! 😊
Congratulations on starting your credit card journey Cheyenne! 🔥 Depending on when you received those first 5 cards, you might not be able to get the Freedom Flex yet. If you got those 5 cards in the past 2 years then you are over the Chase 5/24 rule. Chase will not allow u to get another card with them if u opened 5 credit card accounts (no matter the company) within the past 24 months (2 years). If you are not affected by that rule, then I would recommend still waiting a few months before getting the Flex. Thank you for watching! 🤙🏽 and I wish u the best of lucK!
@@ChaseYokoyama I believe I got the Care Credit card and a bank credit card about 6 or 7 years ago. Best Buy was a few years ago also. I think the Apple Card I got last year. So I’m at 3/24 right now (Apple, Quicksilver and Sapphire). I’ll update you on a future video if I get approved for the new Chase card later down the road. And thank you for your help!
This the Best card , I been used all free nights in Dubai and Dominican Republic
Does the free night have a point valve that you can use towards higher cat hotels, or is the only option to use on cat 1-4 hotels?
I've had it for 6 years. sadly the free night is only for cat 1-4
what jz said 👌🏽 thanks for watching Henry
3:42 the fine print is confusing. Do they mean you'll earn 2 points on "ONLY" categories that are normally 1 point? Meaning if you make a travel purchase normally earning 2 points, you got nothing extra because it's not a 1 point category or you still get an extra point?
Yes that is correct. You will receive 2x points ONLY for purchases that would otherwise be worth 1x point. So travel, etc. would still be 2x points. Good question 💡 and thank you for watching 🤙🏽
The thing I don’t like about the card is that you don’t get a free night until you’ve paid for TWO annual fees.
ahhh i see what you mean but after that, is it still worth it for you? 🤔
The TPG values Hyatt points at 2.7 cent per point wow. Is the anniversary free night redeemable at any date within a year or do you have to spend it on anniversary?
Mileage for sure varies on the points value. But you will receive it shortly after your anniversary date and will have 12 months to use it from that date 👌🏽
@@ChaseYokoyama Thx
Hello I need help deciding on which card to get next I have the Chase Sapphire preferred and the Wells Fargo 2% cashback what card should I add to my arsenal next.
Do I go with a Chase card like the unlimited or a AMEX or something else
I would say go with Chase. Perhaps the freedom flex for the 5% rotating categories 👍🏽 then finish off the trifecta with the unlimited. then you can move onto other brands!
@@ChaseYokoyama I actually just applied for unlimited and venture
@@ChaseYokoyama would u charge everyday expense on CSP, chase unlimited or venture?
Do you know how long it takes to get the physical card? I just got approved and i'm traveling next week, so wanted to get it before i go out of town.
7-10 business days. BUT try calling chase to see if they can expedite ship it to you! 📪 Thank you for watching Lisa 🙏🏽
@@ChaseYokoyama thank you! :)
might be going to a conference for work in October and the host hotel is a Hyatt. Sadly I am over 5/24 though so guess this card is not something I can grab quick to maximize that stay.
😢 And the Chase 5/24 rule ruins yet another person's plans
@@ChaseYokoyama between 5/24 and pop up jail...I am getting antsy sitting on the sidelines right now. But I guess I should be looking at others like Capital One, Citi, and credit unions. or learn some patience till I am back under 5/24 almost a year from now
I got my card approved 3 days ago but my Hyatt status is still not Discoverist. Do you know how long it takes to update? I thought it would be instant once it gets approved.
Hmmm ya, it should be instant. Have you tried contacting Chase first, then Hyatt? 🤔
Love the free night but it’s so hard to use the points. Most of the time I see no award availability. So it’s easier to transfer chase ur when I see available rooms rather than put spend on this card.
That makes sense. Using points does depend on award availability which isn't always available at the right times 🤷🏽♂️ thank you for watching Mrs. Chas 🙏🏽
Personally I do like this card! Even though the sign up bonus is a little weak it's at least a good card to keep in the long term. Wish the Hyatt business card came with a free night like the personal card!
Agreed. This card is great to have. But ya its pretty bogus to have that high of an annual fee and no free night 👎🏼
I’m torn between World of Hyatt or Hilton Surpass. Any tips and advice is appreciated.
First, if you never stay at Hyatt hotels I wouldn't consider the WOH. This is also true if there are no Hyatt properties where you travel frequently or plan to travel. So make sure that you stay at Hyatts or plan to stay at Hyatts in the future if you are considering the WOH.
Second, I think the WOH card is a better keeper card because you get an annual free night award that pays for the annual fee ever year (if you use it). The Surpass card does not give you an automatic free night stay (you have to spend $15,000 in a year before you earn one).
Basically if you stay at Hyatts & Hiltons I would get the WOH card. But if you only stay at Hiltons and plan to, I would get the Surpass. I hope that helps Ryan! 👏🏼
@@ChaseYokoyama thanks for the thorough answer. I appreciate it. I’m not really loyal to any hotel chain, but did stay at a few Hyatt places in the last 6 months and had great experiences. I live in Vegas and we do staycations and Hyatt is associated with a bunch of hotels on the strip, which would be beneficial. Obviously Hilton’s footprint is huge and have awesome hotels as well. Right now I’m thinking of getting the WOH card first to stay within the 5/24 rule and get the Hilton Surpass after I hit my bonus.
@@Ryan-iq2zd Vegas does make it easier to use that Hyatt card and status. 👏🏽 And u definitely can hit up both especially since the surpass has a nice SUB right now
Marriott and Hilton redemption value is not great.
Hyatt is only card that makes sence if you want hotel cc
ya Hyatt redemption is like no other! 🔥
Hey. I spend the $15k. But still didn’t get points on my Hyatt account. Most CC get points within days. My statement has closed too. Any knowledge on when they transfer over. im waiting on 60k points.
It should've hit your account by now. Try contacting Chase. Maybe there is a reason some of the $15k might not have been eligible or something.
Very popular card.
FACTS 👍🏽 I have yet to get it myself tho. Thanks for watching Jason 🙏🏽
I have a question, if I book a hotel through Hyatt's website, does it count as 5x points or just 2x for regular traveling, I compared the prices between the two and Chase is a little bit more expensive but it's a guaranteed 5x points. However, I'm leaning toward the Hyatt's website because it's cheaper. Does anyone know how many points do I gain if purchase a hotel through Hyatt's website?
If you book a stay through the Hyatt website with the World of Hyatt card you will receive 9x Hyatt points. 4x points from the World of Hyatt card and another 5x points for being a World of Hyatt Member.
@@ChaseYokoyama Unfortunately, I do not have Hyatt Card. Do you know how many X Points do i receive if I use Sapphire Preferred?
Would you ever use this for everyday spend for the 15k? You would get at least 15k points plus another night certificate
depends if you like to stay at Hyatts. personally, I do not stay at hotels often (when I do, its usually hilton or marriott) if you are a hardcore Hyatt loyalist then I could see it potentially being worth it. But at the same time, that 15k points in chase or amex points is way more flexible.
Category 8 in Hawaii seems like a waste. Should be going to Thailand or the Maldives.
Can't go wrong with either 🤷🏽♂️ All those places are beautiful AF! 🏝️
will the free night expire if we do not use it within the year?
Yes. It is a use it or lose it benefit
15K spend is easy in 2022 with inflation
hahahaha facts 😂 thats like 3 Nature Valley bars and a gallon of milk.
I like Hyatt but this card is a no for me
you're right Hyatt is solid

@@ChaseYokoyama great video 🤙🏻
Terrible card. they swicthout the points after you get the card and spend the money after 3 months,. soo not worth the hassle. Cancelling this card
what do you mean switch out the points?
@@ChaseYokoyama I signed up for the 30k and they gave me 10k claiming it was only 10k
