Also worth mentioning that the Free Night after $15000 spend will be on a calendar year and not card member year going forward. The former Hyatt card will also be product changed to the new one automatically by Chase this year.
I'm surprised no-one covering this card really dives into the partnership opportunities. Good example is the American Airlines partnership. By having this card and getting the Discoverist status, every dollar you spend on American, you also get a hyatt point. Given most credit card gamers are business travelers, likely flying American a good bit, this is a pretty huge benefit. I'd argue it locks this up as an even more solid keeper card if you're on the fence.

Look into the Chase Sapphire Preferred (CSP) and the Chase Sapphire Reserve (CSR). The CSP will earn 2X at Airbnb. The CSR will earn 3X at Airbnb. Currently, Airbnb is a redemption option with the Chase Pay Yourself Back feature thru 6.30.2022 unless extended further. This makes points worth 25% more to cover Airbnb charges (example: 10,000 points = $125. So this makes 1 point = 1.25¢). If / when the Pay Yourself Back categories change, then you can still redeem Chase points for Airbnb gift cards, normally at a rate of 1 point = 1.0¢ (example: 10,000 points = $100).

Thanks for this review! The sign up bonus looks a little different right now on chase’s website, how does the new one compare to the original 50k bonus offer? It looks a little more complicated to get to the equivalent 50k now I think?
You’ll have to spend 15k in the first 6 months on non 4x/2x categories in order to get just 15k extra points than you would have without this offer
Yep the spend requirement is much higher at the moment. Personally, I'd wait for a different offer that provides 50K - 60K with a $3K - $5K spend requirement 👍
Should I get this before I get my Sapphire reserve? Right now I have the freedom and unlimited but not preferred or reserve. I plan to travel quite often starting next year when I finnish school. Thanks
Hey Ramon! I recommend getting a Sapphire-branded card first because it'll compliment your Freedom card really well 😃👍 My suggestion is to get the CSP's 80K offer now while it lasts, then you can upgrade to the CSR after a year if you like. At the moment, the CSR's offer is only 60K 😬
@@MarkReese if you upgrade from preferred to reserve, are they going to do the hard inquiry and rule 5/24 applies? Also, after a year if you decided to downgrade again from reserve to preferred is chase going to allow it? Thank you.
@@ritacristobal1285 - (1) No hard inquiry for product changes (2) 5/24 Rule does not apply to product changes (3) I can't guarantee it, but most likely yes, you should be able to product change again.
@@MarkReese thank you very much. You are the best😊😊😊

Just helped me realize this is not the card for me! Thanks!
On to the next!
Is there a limit on how many points you can accumulate in a year? like a max. cap or smthg like that?
Nope ✌️
@@MarkReese thank you! you are the best out there!
3k in the first 3 months
6k in the first six months
Total 9k? Or total 6k?
Good question.
$6K total 👍

Hey Mark! I had a question, I wish you answer? Um, so I'm planning on getting this World of Hyatt card as my next credit card. And I see that I would receive a free hotel night on every anniversary year of the card holding. Do they have any time period on using that free night or can that be able to stack up towards next year or so on?
Hi Jisung! The anniversary night certificate expires 1 year after it's issued 👍
Another great video Mark, great information. Whats your take on the IHG Premier Rewards Card with the 140k + $50 statement credit? Any chances of a review or a comparison with this card? Thanks again!
The IHG Premier card is a good one to get w/ that 140K offer as long as there are IHG properties you'd like to stay at 😃👊
@@MarkReese 👊A Mark Reese endorsement is good enough for me! Appreciate your engagement with your viewership, you are running a great channel. Thanks again!
@@treznich - You got it! Glad you’re enjoying the channel 😃🎬
Can you stack free hotel night every year?????
No, the annual night certificate expires 1 year after it's issued 😁

I came here wondering if the card was metal, he answered my question in the first few seconds of the vid 😂
😁👍
OK so if you’re at a hotel when you say redeem you have to do it on the computer or they take the points automatically? That was always on my mind
The points will be used at the time of booking. So if you book a night that costs 12,000 WoH points, then those points will be used up that same day 👍
It's 2021....time for these companies to scrap the plastic lol
Year of the Metal 😁✈️
@@MarkReese I agree
Lol “In case you were wondering”😂😂
😄✌️
Would you spend $15K to get 3 nights each year? 😃
3 nights? How? U get anniversary night and additional night for $15k....that’s 2 each year....this year it’s possible to earn another free night for another 15k in spend depending on when your anniversary date is because they boing to calendar year programming
@@I3CuBeD - If you put $15K spend on the card, you'll earn at least 15,000 points too (enough for another Cat. 4 night) 😃👍
@@MarkReese ahh tru....yea I did this in 2020...worked out well.....I’m contemplating doing it again in 2021 and I can do another 15k from Oct-Dec I think so I can earn 2 certificate nights this year
@@I3CuBeD - That'd be AWESOME. $15K is the sweet spot for this card for sure 🏆
What's a good credit card to have if you stay at Airbnb's? I feel like this is a solid card to have in case we want to do Hotel stays instead...
@@MarkReese Awesome!! CSP is definitely one of the next cards on my list once I'm under 5/24 and I didn't even think/know about that benefit. Thanks again Mark!! 🙏🏾
It comes with Priority Pass too, right?
Nope ✌
Bro what’s your credit score or does hard inquiry don’t exist in your world lol
Just checked Credit Karma and I'm at an estimated 813 right now 😃👍 For the past few years, inquiries didn't matter to me because they'd drop my score a few points, but then my score would rebound and go even higher after an approval. However, now that I'm focused on Chase cards again, I'm going without any new applications for awhile ✌️

I literally almost closed the video because the card is plastic. #WelcomeTo2021
