Beautiful performance. The guy of harmonica is a great talent.
Yeah is fuckng so great
Yes his names is mark farrow
@@osvaldojoseecheverriacolla2231 His name is Mark Feltham.
It is Mark Feltham. A true genius on the harp
Mark Feltham
I remember watching this live. I was in the military and there were three of us watching it in a barracks room…
The staccato of the violins at the end sent shivers up my spine!!!
Back when MTV and VH1 were AWESOME!!!!
Back when it was about music and not a kardashians father's vagina
And afterwards, you and yer muckers had a good old game of soggy biscuit. Or was it pass the chocolate?
@@snakedrivercrazyyy HAHAHAH
Ultimate version of The Masterplan. That harmonica is different class.
Absolutely SLAYED that harmonica intro.
+Kevin W. he used to play with rory gallgaher the telecaster god from Cork
This was a B-side…
… let that sink in.
So many early classics were just throwaway B-sides.
In that very moment I was outside the Royal Festival Hall, waiting for them to come out... I was in London on holiday and found out by sheer luck where the "secret mtv gig" was being played only at the very last minute. They took a lot of time to come out of the building, most people from the audience thought they were gone already, so when they did exit we were very few people. Kate Moss was with them, too. I still remember Noel looking and waving at me when I called his name... the following day my friends and I went to Noel's house (again I still can't believe the luck we had to find out where he lived just a couple of days earlier) and we patiently waited... there were some friends at his place, they obviously partied all night, but when Noel came out he was kind, took photos and signed autographs... then out of the blue Liam came out, too, I asked for his autograph and he said "yeah but quickly cause I have to go" and started walking. So I was walking by his side while looking for the felt tip to sign my cd, when somebody bumped into me from behind my back. I turned and to my surprise it was Patsy Kensit who was almost falling on the ground and said "Sorry". Then she hurried ahead of me and Liam went after her and I just stood there with no autograph... still a day to remember! I've just found some memories of that day and realised I've never seen the mtv unplugged, that's why I'm here
Mark Feltham told some of us harp players, It was born on stage, no rehearsal. Mark Feltham is a world class harmonica player. Godley and Creme album called ' Goodbye blue sky' . Mark, and Mit Gamon play on every track. Check it out. Anyhow, he shreds that Lee Oskar harp. Fine, performance. PS. Liam Gallagher didn't have a sore throat, the brothers had a bust up before the cameras were rolling. That's true.
Member of the phenomenal UK R and B band "Nine Below Zero" !
Take the time to make some sense
Of what you want to say
And cast your words away upon the waves
Sail them home with Acquiesce
On a ship of hope today
And as they land upon the shore
Tell them not to fear no more
Say it loud and sing it proud today
And then
Dance if you wanna dance
Please brother take a chance
You know they're gonna go
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don't know
How it's gonna be
Please brother let it be
Life on the other hand won't make us understand
We're all part of the masterplan
Say it loud and sing it proud today
I'm not saying right is wrong
It's up to us to make
The best of all things that come our way
'Cause everything that's been has passed
The answer's in the looking glass
There's four and twenty million doors
On life's endless corridor
Say it loud and sing it proud
And they
Will dance if they wanna dance
Please brother take a chance
You know they're gonna go
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don't know
How it's gonna be
Please brother let it be
Life on the other hand won't make us understand
We're all part of the masterplan
My favorite version of this song because of Mark Feltham
The greatest song ever written! Musically, humanity peaked here, cant imagine how he felt after he wrote this! this is the heart and soul of a beautiful human being!!
Noel didn't feel anything, he literally threw this song away as a B-side to the "Wonderwall" single
@@Paul-sl9zm he was so arrogant at the time he thought i'll just write another one like this for the next album
The guy of the harmonica is given everything
SI NENE MARK FELTHAM SE ROBÓ EL SHOW (AL MENOS EN THE MASTERPLAN). jajajaj
So much depth and versatility in Noel's voice...harmonica slaying in the background!!
"It's up to us to make the best of all the things that come our way."
Yeah man
The harmonica is immense. This beats the original studio version by a mile, and that was good
Cant believe this is 20 years ago already , man.
Still sounds fresh though
Almost 25 years now.
27 now
The man is just absolute magic.
1996 MTV Unplugged of Oasis and Alice in Chains. Wow... what a year
one of the most pure and sensitive version of this song
The best version of this song
I had this on VHS and DVd this yank gig. Pure class. Middle class audience. Harmonica player on point here, just great.
a masterpiece, every line of the lyrics has a meaning, music is superb too
Why I started playing the guitar all those years ago. No online lessons then I had to study this concert at the royal festival Hall on a vhs tape my dad recorded because “I’ll think you’ll like this, son”
Best live performance ever
When i was senior high school i saw this on mtv, I dunno why im sad now , Listen to diz beautiful song
That harmonica......I just creamed me knickers ;)
What "Let It Be" was to the Beatles, "The Masterplan" was to Oasis
It even has the lyric "Let it be" in the chorus
Good song but come on.....let's not get out of hand here....haha
@@natev1956 he wasn't saying they were as good as each other, I think he was implying the style of song was similar. Obviously 'let it be' is a far greater track although masterplan is still a great tune
@@robbo03 I hear ya! Remember when Oasis thought they were the greatest band on the planet, better than the Beatles! It was in a 1996 interview when at the height of their career, Noel claims he was "high" at the time he said it.
Those were the cocaine days which makes people cocky 😂😂..... I remember an interview with Noel many years later, they had really flattened out at this point in time, interviewer asked him about that and he admitted " Well....I guess we were wrong....."
Paul McCartney went on to say that it was the "kiss of death"....
@@lukes8719 👀🙄🤔🤦😆
Una genialidad
The 6 dislikes are Liam
Liam didn't like this
hahaha
The masterplan is the master plan
Fantastic and probably the best oasis song ever
If you want to hear an interview with mark the harmonica player & his time with the band check out the Oasis podcast!
This makes me so emotional! The harmonica is beautiful
It's what makes this version sooo special isn't it? :)
The best song 🎵 written by Noel. That's saying alot but that's just my opinion. It's a masterpiece.
Take a bow Mr Harmonica
A truly beautiful song.
we need to have an oasis reunion !!!
No leave Liam at home and just put Noel on. I want the one with talent not attitude.
Well now there defo will be 1
Harmonica class ......
What a song !! Unreal 🙌
A work of genius
One of the best 90’s songs. Much better than Wonderwall
Still amazing !!!!
Oasis que lo tiró!!!
Thank you for sharing! ^_^
Luv This Song 🧡
Goosebumps
Heard the original Oasis album version on the Jo Wiley programme on Radio 2 tonight. That version is good but this version absolutely "kicks its ass"... Brilliant ! BTW Is the harmonica player the same one who plays in "Nine Below Zero"?
Yes. He did studio work and steals the show here!
3 people are not included in the masterplan.
Please. Amo a oasis.
GOD!!!
A masterpiece
fuck that harmonica is sick!
Genius.
I love GOD 's masterplan.
Ese juampe
Anyone sure what takamine model he's using during this gig. I've wondered for some time now
Deus.
Fucking great
Does anyone know what guitar Noel is using?
What model of guitar is it exactly?
A Takamine? That looked like the name on the headstock? Not positive tho.
Mark Feltham was great for Oasis back then
What ever happened to him? I'd say he would sound great with the H.F.B's.. would love to see oasis back together ✌️
@@deanmurphy2265 Mark is still playing with his original band Nine Below Zero, and this year they celebrate the 40th Anniversary of their epic album Don't Point Your Finger. NBZ are possibly the greatest band never quite to hit the big time, and Mark is one of the most sought after harp players in the music business.
@@jempitt9974 Saw them in late 1981 at the "Coatham Bowl" in Redcar. Sweat ran down the walls... It was a phenomenal night !
Felt like The Master Plan was being sung to Liam.
Guigsy Plugged
Hi
Biblical
Who's this guy with the armonica?!?
Mark Feltham
When noel was a cool humble guy now he thinks he's God! Love Liam he one of the boys!
is this a joke or is your perspective just completely fucked?
He is god
Ran out of harmonica at 4.03
Love the song and the way the play it show how talented the musicians are, but the harmonic is too much for this one
too fast
harmonica is great but a delicate song like this with a instrument with a little bit designed more blues or hard rock and roll isn't really well suited for this particular song. in my opinion.
Couldn't agree less !!
What fucking planet are you on ..?
Shows how much you know. If Noel can make the best of it, it might as well have been forged by God himself. Oh wait it was.
Nahhh, lose that harp. This song sounds a lot better without it.
Pick a window ! You're leaving !
The harmonica ruined it imo. Way too intrusive and showy.
Beg to differ...
Are you still a wally or have the last two years been kind to you?
I prefer the quiet melancholy of the original single version without all the harmonica.
Nah.... The harp gives it both bite and soul... Its wonderful
You can lose the harmonica if you like.
omg that harmonica ruined this beautiful song
No sir... It adds so much !
Tbh that harmonica man ruin the song. Is that the same person that make Liam refuse to continue song 'Whatever' at Maine Road??
This would be amazing without that annoying harp.
That's the best bit
The harmonica is unbearable
You're joking. I hope.
