Remembering my Son. He loved Oasis. I played/sang this acoustic in church at his funeral. 10 yrs gone. X
RIP❤
Sorry to hear that mate, I knew a young fella who had Champaign supernova played at his Goodbye gathering

RIP❤ sorry for your loss 😢
Good on ya to play it yourself, RIP.

Noel: Writes great poetic song about not being afraid and taking your chances, realizing that whatever comes - it is all part of your life
Also Noel: *Off to the B-side you go*
Lmao
he mentioned in a recent interview that he was an idiot for doing that. he blamed it on being young and stupid but he knew he had a good song, a great song even, just didn't release it properly.
You can always judge a band on the strength of their b sides
Pretty shit that songs like round are way, acquiesce and masterplan don’t make it on to the album but boring, bland, predictable songs like hey now and shes electric make the final cut
@@joedinnie3079 in some ways the album should have had them songs on but that was Noel's genius, (plus many other bands) it was to make you buy the single so you could listen to the b side and not just the album.
I'll say it. One of the best songs ever written.
To some, the.

this is a shit b-sides?
Agreed. I have tickets to see him in two weeks and this is on the setlist.
deu a letra, o papo é reto e sem curva
Personally I think this is noels best ever song he's written both for structure melody etc and lyrically.. Just a fabulous track.
Agree!
Completamente d'accordo con te 👍👏👏👏👋🇮🇹
“Alright now” from his solo is a master piece too
A dear friend of mine passed away earlier this week and after two days now, this was the only song I could think of. Stay safe. Brighter days will come, hopefully.
Valeria f sorry to hear that. Stay safe and look after yourself.
Music can help us through the toughest of times. Play it often if it helps. Your friend wants you to be happy (what friend would not want that?). Your heart has found comfort in a song of profound ideas and emotions. "Say it loud and sing it proud today." Your friend will surely hear you from the other side. "It's up to us to make
the best of all the things that come our way." Brighter days WILL come to you. Believe it. Believe it.
God bless
Stay safe my friend.
Sorry to read that mate, your friend hasn't really gone they're gonna live forever.
Most other bands would build their whole career around a song like this.
For Noel, it was just one of the songs, a B-Side.
It just shows how incredibly prolific he was in 1993-1996.
Exactly this was iconic
why r you being so specific in terms of years😆i think hes still good
Yes, he said the same bout Wonderwall, it was a good one, not his favorite
Which is incredible
Just talent
STILL PROLIFIC!
@Joe Owen be here now is an absolute barnstormer of an album. Can name at least 4 tracks which could have been on the first 2
This song holds it's own with any of the best Beatle songs. Noel is a musical genius, so many classic songs under his belt. His songs will out last us all. What a legacy, and still largely underrated in my opinion.
Take the time to make some sense
Of what you want to say
And cast your words away upon the waves
Sail them home with Acquiesce
On a ship of hope today
And as they land upon the shore
Tell them not to fear no more
Say it loud and sing it proud today...
And then...
Dance if you want to dance
Please brother take a chance
You know they're gonna go
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don't know
How it's gonna be
Please brother let it be
Life on the other hand won't make us understand
We're all part of the masterplanSay it loud
Sing it proud today...I'm not saying right is wrong
It's up to us to make
The best of all things that come our way
'Cause everything that's been has past
The answer's in the looking glass
There's four and twenty million doors
On life's endless corridor
Say it loud and sing it proud today...
We'll dance if they want to dance
Please brother take a chance
You know they're gonna go
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don't know
How it's gonna be
Please brother let it be
Life on the other hand won't let you understand
We're all part of the masterplan

Liam's walk is hilarious in this cartoon. What makes it so funny is that it reminds you how real it is, how someone can actually walk this way on purpose, just for attitude.
I agree Liam's walk is ridiculous.
He has the archetypal dickhead walk.
The legend Liam Walk
It's a Beatles/Lowry bit of class.
The animators knew what they were doing.
I'm sure Liam had a laugh and loved it.
Liam got Manchester walk it's the cobbles walk of Manchester
Despite massive success, I still feel Oasis are hugely under appreciated.
Oh for real, people remember them for DLBIA, Wonderwall, Live Forever etc. but that's not even scratching the surface of their music, it'll stand the test of time however
Yeah if you walk into my school and ask any kid who are oasis they would say Theres a drink?

Under appreciated? Depends on where you are. Pretty sure Wonderwall is the biggest song ever still in the UK

One of Noels many Beatles type tracks that worked so well early on.
It was written for the people that can hear at that words and understand it.

Idk why but I find 4:21 onwards emotional with the guitar, strings and the band members walking back into their houses, also how Liam and Noel go into the same door knowing that they don’t get on anymore.

This song, written in a Japanese hotel room, is considered by Noel Gallagher and fans alike to be one of his best works. The lyrics were inspired by the hotel's long corridor and what Gallagher described as a "Good, relaxing smoke." When asked about what the song meant to him, Noel responded: "To me this sums up your journey through life. All we know is that we don't know."
At the end of this song you can hear in a high-pitch voice a vocal from The Beatles song "Octopus's Garden." The voice is Noel Gallagher.
This was originally a B-Side. It was the fourth track on the CD version of the "Wonderwall" single released in October 1995, three years before the The Masterplan album was released with the rest of Oasis best B-Sides.
Though many have speculated that the song's references to "Brother" ("Please, brother, let it be") were directed at Liam Gallagher, Noel denies this, saying: "We're all brothers and sisters."
Performing on this track are: Steve Sidwell, Derek Watkins and John Barclay on trumpets, Phil Todd and Dave Bishop on tenor sax, Gavyn Wright, Wilf Gibson, Perry Montague Mason and Vaughan Armon on violins, George Robertson and Bill Hawkes on viola, and Tony Pleeth and Paul Klegg on cello. The brass and strings were arranged by Nick Ingham and Noel Gallagher.
Bruno Herbert nice post
Worth reading, thanks Bruno
And Don't look back in anger was him being drunk in a hotel in Paris, right?

These two working class lads from Manchester changed an entire generation forever !
Hahahaha yes they changed Australia i tell you first answer
LiveForever greatest Irish band ever
Noel wrote Live Forever in a shed while he was on a construction job
Dave the Rave Nope Manchester
Pretty much all the first line up had Irish parents
No wonder Noel calls it "His Masterpiece". To me it is beyond that, I cannot think of a compliment that doeds it justice. It is sheer class, written & performed by a Genius.
Oasis = Nostalgia. I miss the old times :(
Don’t look back in anger 🤜🤛
For most bands this would be the greatest song they have ever done. For Oasis, it was just another great track on another great album.
Ryan Fernando it wasn't even, it was originally a throw away B-side. Just watched an interview where Noel said he was asked for a B-side track so went and wrote this. Everyone said he was mental giving it away as a B-side but he was too stubborn at the time to keep it for the next album which would have been Be Here Now.
Absolute Muppet This could have been one of their biggest hits. He thought the well would never run dry.
It is the greatest song that Oasis ever did though.
Just another rip off of, take your pick..beatles, faces, slade, t Rex. Etc. And it's never a single, singles are commercial...songs that even people with less taste than the average, er , oasis fan would buy. That's why live forever was a great single for example, it's catchy. It's to the point. A single in othe words.. The masterplan is an album track all day long. And one that would probably get on a slade one as filler.
I know best song ever

Few months ago i was miserable, i was sad all the time coz i always had doubts in mind it was a very low point. But then as i was binging oasis i came across thsi song. Throughout the next weeks, i listened to this over and over, it was almost like a person i could rely on when im feeling down. Now im feeling better and i come across this song. I know some of it on guitar so as i listened to it i began playing to it. Suddenly as i was playing the chorus i cried, i cried. I never cry to songs but i cried to this. This reminded me of a low point in my life and how i overcame it, and its thanks to this masterpiece. thanks, oasis.

@mrjo2thec People have been using that image for years, it's an old 4chan meme.
That's probably where Maximilianmus got the pic himself.
I don't think you should assume people using it are 12 year olds, especially on the videos of an old band like Oasis.
@mrjo2thec almost fitting that they would be Oasis fans considering Noel has often been heard to refer to himself as God, and that Liam believes himself to be John Lennon reincarnated

Noel: *writes greatest song ever to grace the Earth*
Noel: Yeah, I reckon that'll do fer a b-side.
Bradley Mitchell wouldn’t say it’s the greatest but I see your point.
Talk Tonight as well
He wrote it too late to put it on What’s the Story (Morning Glory). However, he should’ve held on to it (as well as most B sides of that era) and made a brilliant 3rd album. Can you imagine if Noel had done that? I think it would’ve been lauded as much as Definitely Maybe critically. Shame really!
Well there was the Masterplan
Roman Baranovichi. Yeah I know. The issue with the Masterplan was that we’d heard all of the tracks on it a million times during Definitely Maybe and What’s the Story. If Noel had held them back and released them as a 3rd album instead of using them as B sides the album would’ve been huge. Instead they released the overblown Be Here Now.
As I can't find many other comments on this..

No kidding, makes me so proud to be Mancunian in an almost religious kind of way, deep down you feel connected to the city and its culture and history, the football teams, the working class grit and soul; enjoying life despite the mither that may come our way, feeling as though we are part of something greater...a Masterplan perhaps?
Liam's walk just makes this video!!
I LOVE OASIS FOREVER ❤❤❤❤❤😊
