Music can help us through the toughest of times. Play it often if it helps. Your friend wants you to be happy (what friend would not want that?). Your heart has found comfort in a song of profound ideas and emotions. "Say it loud and sing it proud today." Your friend will surely hear you from the other side. Liam's walk is hilarious in this cartoon. What makes it so funny is that it reminds you how real it is, how someone can actually walk this way on purpose, just for attitude.
Oh for real, people remember them for DLBIA, Wonderwall, Live Forever etc. but that's not even scratching the surface of their music, it'll stand the test of time however
Most other bands would build their whole career around a song like this. For Noel, it was just one of the songs, a B-Side. It just shows how incredibly prolific he was in 1993-1996.
This song means so much for me. I discovered it during summer after being rejected by people I thought were my friends and also after being fired. It is truly one of the greatest song Noel has written. This song has helped me so much
Noel: Writes great poetic song about not being afraid and taking your chances, realizing that whatever comes - it is all part of your life Also Noel: *Off to the B-side you go*
he mentioned in a recent interview that he was an idiot for doing that. he blamed it on being young and stupid but he knew he had a good song, a great song even, just didn't release it properly.
Pretty shit that songs like round are way, acquiesce and masterplan don’t make it on to the album but boring, bland, predictable songs like hey now and shes electric make the final cut
@@joedinnie3079 in some ways the album should have had them songs on but that was Noel's genius, (plus many other bands) it was to make you buy the single so you could listen to the b side and not just the album.

Just another rip off of, take your pick..beatles, faces, slade, t Rex. Etc. And it's never a single, singles are commercial...songs that even people with less taste than the average, er , oasis fan would buy. That's why live forever was a great single for example, it's catchy. It's to the point. A single in othe words.. The masterplan is an album track all day long. And one that would probably get on a slade one as filler.
Let's All Make Believe is also an awesome B-Side. From Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants. Shit, I wish I was alive in the nineties(born in '98, by ehh)!
This song, written in a Japanese hotel room, is considered by Noel Gallagher and fans alike to be one of his best works. The lyrics were inspired by the hotel's long corridor and what Gallagher described as a "Good, relaxing smoke." When asked about what the song meant to him, Noel responded: "To me this sums up your journey through life. All we know is that we don't know." At the end of this song you can hear in a high-pitch voice a vocal from The Beatles song "Octopus's Garden." The voice is Noel Gallagher. This was originally a B-Side. It was the fourth track on the CD version of the "Wonderwall" single released in October 1995, three years before the The Masterplan album was released with the rest of Oasis best B-Sides. Though many have speculated that the song's references to "Brother" ("Please, brother, let it be") were directed at Liam Gallagher, Noel denies this, saying: "We're all brothers and sisters." Performing on this track are: Steve Sidwell, Derek Watkins and John Barclay on trumpets, Phil Todd and Dave Bishop on tenor sax, Gavyn Wright, Wilf Gibson, Perry Montague Mason and Vaughan Armon on violins, George Robertson and Bill Hawkes on viola, and Tony Pleeth and Paul Klegg on cello. The brass and strings were arranged by Nick Ingham and Noel Gallagher.

Pure genius.he wrote this way back when he was a roadie for inspiral carpets.imagine bein this talented, writing a song like this on a whim and putting it away in your arsenal.one of the greatest musicians and band ever created, dying breed,I am glad I was brought up on oasis
He wrote it too late to put it on What’s the Story (Morning Glory). However, he should’ve held on to it (as well as most B sides of that era) and made a brilliant 3rd album. Can you imagine if Noel had done that? I think it would’ve been lauded as much as Definitely Maybe critically. Shame really!
Roman Baranovichi. Yeah I know. The issue with the Masterplan was that we’d heard all of the tracks on it a million times during Definitely Maybe and What’s the Story. If Noel had held them back and released them as a 3rd album instead of using them as B sides the album would’ve been huge. Instead they released the overblown Be Here Now.
THE MASTERPLAN 😌✨

Few months ago i was miserable, i was sad all the time coz i always had doubts in mind it was a very low point. But then as i was binging oasis i came across thsi song. Throughout the next weeks, i listened to this over and over, it was almost like a person i could rely on when im feeling down. Now im feeling better and i come across this song. I know some of it on guitar so as i listened to it i began playing to it. Suddenly as i was playing the chorus i cried, i cried. I never cry to songs but i cried to this. This reminded me of a low point in my life and how i overcame it, and its thanks to this masterpiece. thanks, oasis.
it is amazing how today's music does not have a say, nothing to add to people's lives like that music with a letter so brilliant with something important and that everyone can take the rest of life
Couldn't agree more today you listen to an album you feel that no effort has being put into them at all. Although I think that's the X factors fault to be honest. There's so many great bands that are practically unheard of now although still around writing songs.
+Lucas Borges Or maybe y'all just are too lazy to really look, because really meaningful music isn't mainstream anymore. There is still so much good music out there, and there always will be. Every single generation says the same thing: "oh there is no good music" and then the next generation talks about how good their music was. Do some research, there is so much new good music still out there, it just takes effort to find.
No wonder Noel calls it "His Masterpiece". To me it is beyond that, I cannot think of a compliment that doeds it justice. It is sheer class, written & performed by a Genius.

So many good memories of my younger days listening ti this. This song is still as fresh as was the day it was released. All I feel is love when I hear it
I've not seen this before and back in the day was more Blur than Oasis. I'll take that back now, a stunning song with an amazing video - love how Liam walks with a shoulders back strut. Amazing
but is it just Manchester? i live here, but as far as I know we don't have a sea or a pier? Always thought that part was Blackpool or Brighton? Otherwise I love recognizing Manchester in the video.
No kidding, makes me so proud to be Mancunian in an almost religious kind of way, deep down you feel connected to the city and its culture and history, the football teams, the working class grit and soul; enjoying life despite the mither that may come our way, feeling as though we are part of something greater...a Masterplan perhaps?
I am 68,seen and heard so many great bands, but truly believe this is one of the greatest pieces of music and song I have ever heard.Used to laugh(in a nice way)about my daughters love for Oasis, now I am a true convert!!
@mrjo2thec People have been using that image for years, it's an old 4chan meme. That's probably where Maximilianmus got the pic himself. I don't think you should assume people using it are 12 year olds, especially on the videos of an old band like Oasis.
@mrjo2thec almost fitting that they would be Oasis fans considering Noel has often been heard to refer to himself as God, and that Liam believes himself to be John Lennon reincarnated
my favorite, very nice story driven narrative throughout brings me comfort as i get that bit older, 35 on monday. could say i have oasis songs my whole life, nearly
I'm not lying when I say I get goosebumps from listening to this song, no matter how many times, after the brilliant climax 4:07 and 4:21. There are not any words that can describe this song
Used to feel the same before seeing the music video, but I remember seeing it on MTV just as is was released and being completely immersed, gives the songs meaning even more imagery, which is fucking powerful.

Take the time to make some sense
Of what you want to say
And cast your words away upon the waves
And sail them home with acquiesce
On a ship of hope today
And as they land upon the shore
Tell them not to fear no more
Say it loud, and sing it proud today
And then dance if you wanna dance
Please brother take a chance
You know they're gonna go
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don't
Know how it's gonna be
Please brother let it be
Life on the other hand
Won't make us understand
We're all part of the masterplan
Say it loud and sing it proud today
I'm not saying right is wrong
It's up to us to make
The best of all the things
That come our way
'cause everything that's been has passed
The answer's in the looking glass
There's four and twenty million doors
On life's endless corridor
Say it loud and sing it proud today
We'll dance if they wanna dance
Please brother take a chance
You know they're gonna go
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don't
Know how it's gonna be
Please brother let it be
Life on the other hand
Won't make you understand
We're all part of the masterplan

Alexis Abuin... when Liam says casually that Oasis is the greatest rock band to ever exist, that's no idle boast...

In my opinion, one of the best live version of oasis's MasterPlan was The 2009/08 Monumental River Plate Stadium

I know a lot of people who talk like that...it's a great accent!

its a Wigan accent, few miles from Manchester
I like that in the end both Liam and Noel go to the same room, same door
Done in the style of Lowry, pure genius, never see bands with this quality again, amazing
No shadows cast.
Yellow submarine film ... same style
Yeah, I remember searching for Lowry after watching this video.
크…. 어렷을땐 노래좋네 이러면서 들었는데 어른이 되고나서 가사가 와닿네… 노엘형님 ㅠㅠㅠ
Probably one the best B-side tracks of all time
If there is a competitor to that title I’d like to know what it is
This is probably one of the best songs ever written imo and its so underappreciated
Pure genius.he wrote this way back when he was a roadie for inspiral carpets.imagine bein this talented, writing a song like this on a whim and putting it away in your arsenal.one of the greatest musicians and band ever created, dying breed,I am glad I was brought up on oasis

Noel: *writes greatest song ever to grace the Earth*
Noel: Yeah, I reckon that'll do fer a b-side.
Bradley Mitchell wouldn’t say it’s the greatest but I see your point.
Talk Tonight as well
He wrote it too late to put it on What’s the Story (Morning Glory). However, he should’ve held on to it (as well as most B sides of that era) and made a brilliant 3rd album. Can you imagine if Noel had done that? I think it would’ve been lauded as much as Definitely Maybe critically. Shame really!
Well there was the Masterplan
Roman Baranovichi. Yeah I know. The issue with the Masterplan was that we’d heard all of the tracks on it a million times during Definitely Maybe and What’s the Story. If Noel had held them back and released them as a 3rd album instead of using them as B sides the album would’ve been huge. Instead they released the overblown Be Here Now.
THE MASTERPLAN 😌✨
I love the Lowry-esque aesthetic/look the animator gives to this music video - ties in nicely with the fact Oasis are from Manchester
It was all part of the masterplan, 15 years I've been waiting to hear the news!!! Oasis is back baby!! I want to cry happy tears ahhhh !!!
I bet Noel asked the animation guy to make Liam walk that way lol..
No, Liam asked him to do it.
I wish I walked like that

The interplay with the bass, lead, and rhythm guitars in the intro and outro are so great. The subtle tremolo on the guitar is also really sweet.
The song that every artist wished they had written.
The best b side track of all time.
Oasis = Nostalgia. I miss the old times :(

Tu claramente não está escutando as bandas certas então.
hahaha atualmente são poucas as bandas certas de se ouvir
+Lucas Borges Or maybe y'all just are too lazy to really look, because really meaningful music isn't mainstream anymore. There is still so much good music out there, and there always will be. Every single generation says the same thing: "oh there is no good music" and then the next generation talks about how good their music was. Do some research, there is so much new good music still out there, it just takes effort to find.
No wonder Noel calls it "His Masterpiece". To me it is beyond that, I cannot think of a compliment that doeds it justice. It is sheer class, written & performed by a Genius.
Man, he banged out a lot of great songs in that time period. Such a talent.
Noel : 'mum am gonna start a band'
Mum : 'okay, but take your little brother with you'.
but in fact, it was Liam who invited Noel to join his band 😁
@@mayank-ys8up shame on me...oasis has been my fav band since '94!thanks

Best of Oasis.
Meaningful and Powerful.
Love this video to death. The art style really captures the north of England.

LS Lowry . Check his art, pretty sure that's where they got their inspiration from for this vid
@@paulowen-browne5199
Lowry for sure
Lowry for definite and it even features some of his paintings eg Going to the Match and Man Lying on a Wall
They're brothers. I think they'll see that before the end. Not room enough for their egos in each others domain.
My day doesn't end without listening to a song by Noel Gallagher. What a genius!!!!! Thank you Gallagher Brothers for your music
More like thanks to noel
One of Noel’s best songs, including those he’s both written and sung.

I've not seen this before and back in the day was more Blur than Oasis. I'll take that back now, a stunning song with an amazing video - love how Liam walks with a shoulders back strut. Amazing

There's just something about seeing your hometown (Manchester) on a music video that makes you so happy
but is it just Manchester? i live here, but as far as I know we don't have a sea or a pier? Always thought that part was Blackpool or Brighton? Otherwise I love recognizing Manchester in the video.
jurajumala It's Blackpool
I hear ya buddy ;)
Whatever the city may be, I just love how it looks like a Lowry painting
No kidding, makes me so proud to be Mancunian in an almost religious kind of way, deep down you feel connected to the city and its culture and history, the football teams, the working class grit and soul; enjoying life despite the mither that may come our way, feeling as though we are part of something greater...a Masterplan perhaps?
Always come back to this song, the masterplan is a masterpiece end of. Timeless
It's absolutely glorious.
I can't take my eyes away from how Liam's walking here XD
so realistic even today !
Walking like Spongebob
I freaking love it
Always loved how Noel and Liam went in the same door at the end

I am 67 NOW and got into them in my 30s . Group for life 👍
Was my favourite song of the 90s and still my favourite now.
In my opinion the finest Oasis track. Shades of 'day in the life' by Beatles, how was this not a single!
still funny seeing Liam sitting on his own bashing a tambourine
@mrjo2thec >Maximilianmus
Literally who?
@mrjo2thec People have been using that image for years, it's an old 4chan meme.
That's probably where Maximilianmus got the pic himself.
I don't think you should assume people using it are 12 year olds, especially on the videos of an old band like Oasis.
@mrjo2thec almost fitting that they would be Oasis fans considering Noel has often been heard to refer to himself as God, and that Liam believes himself to be John Lennon reincarnated
... arguably one of his best performance
mrjo2thec didn’t know that was the reason people used that gay picture
This song is superb, from beginning to end just perfect. LONG LIVE OASIS.

Yes, this part really gets to me, too. Cheers.
Used to feel the same before seeing the music video, but I remember seeing it on MTV just as is was released and being completely immersed, gives the songs meaning even more imagery, which is fucking powerful.
