I remember listening to this song with headphones on an LP at our public library circa 1975. One of the greatest riffs of all time broken down by the kindest and most thorough teacher on UA-cam.

"Music is something you need to feel"...every player needs to understand that first. Especially with a riff like this.

That's right, and the more you get the opportunity to jam with others, always take it.

God, I love the sound of an old Strat. Then again, I love the sound of so many guitars. Each for their own unique tone.

You laid down the heart and soul of music! Most teachers skip over this part of musicianship. I'm an admirer now and will be looking out for more of your lessons.

This is an awesome lesson, and you are a talented, intelligent, and energetic teacher. One suggestion I would offer, from decades of teaching experience, is that you have a visual, i.e. insert a chord box or other such graphic illustration in the video while you are explaining each technique, in order to engage more learning styles or to engage simultaneously multiple parts of the learner's brain in tandem, thus making the learning experience more enjoyable, accessible, engaging, and lasting/durable.

There's not much more annoying than jamming with some musicians then suddenly they want to start telling you how to play it because you're not playing it the way they learned it from tab. 😳😋🎸. Excellent videos Steve! Thanks.

If you're moving this much all over the fretboard, you know its wrong. Sounds right and the notes are right, but you've got to be more compact in your playing so not wearing yourself out after one song

So, should I do that scratching stuff?
Seriously? Half the video devoted to the scratching?
    It's cool. You obviously think it's important.🤣
