Steve Stine Guitar Lessons Steve I’ll be signing up after the holidays. Have to get a gutter again. Gave it up years ago , but you hit on so many things that caused me to give up in the first place !! Can’t wait. Talk to ya soon. !!
Steve Stine Guitar Lessons - Wow....You just opened the door, to my next level of my quest. Been stuck for some time,on picking up the chord movements, and the transitions were explained very well, and simple. Lots of options to be explored easily.
Thanks bro!!
"If music made sense, we wouldn't have rock and roll."
That was beautiful
Franz Villafana I'm glad you posted that quote by Steve, it was a beautiful quote and how very true it is.
So true
I noticed it also. I completely and strongly disagree. Every group whose music is worth listening to - and which has survived the test of time - had a statement they wanted to make. The Clash, the best of the "punk" groups, were very serious about the significance of their compositions. That's why the band is memorable, and why I've listened to their albums many times.
Everyone knows The Rolling Stones catalogue. Few, if any, remember the catalogues of the many crap groups that have faded away. Why is Buddy Holly remembered and the ten thousand others who came after are not? A convincing argument can be made that "Rave On," made in '56, was the first punk song. It certainly had the attitude.
The Doors had a producer that made them make as many as a hundred takes - imagine Jim Morrison going along with that, but it's on tape. During the LA Woman sessions, Jim got annoyed at his bandmates and said, "You guys sound like bunch of a cripples trying to make it up a flight of stairs." That organ playing that makes "Light My Fire" instantly stand out is due to Ray Manzarek having studied Bach. It's right there. That is clearly ifluenced by Bach's music.
_Who's Next_ is the magnificent remnants of a failed project by Pete Townshend. He considered killing himself. Almost killed himself over it. I don't know why you can't hear it. It's there. Rock 'N' Roll has significant masterpieces in it, all by guys who worked their asses off - and some of whom didn't make it. Brian Wilson had a nervous breakdown he never recovered from after Paul McCartney played him an acetate of "A Day in the Life." Wilson's band, The Beach Boys, made a masterpiece called _Pet Sounds_ which they were quite proud of. But SPLHCB blew it out of the water.
My logo is of "The Dark Side of the Moon." A great masterpiece by any standards of music.
@Donald Miller Shees. Lighten up, Francis.

If this video helped you, then check this out. The nut at the end of your guitar serves as a bar chord(kinda). If you hold down all 6 strings anywhere on the neck of the guitar, you can make your favorite basic chords anywhere on the guitar. Just use the same relevance to where you are holding down all 6 strings to the original chord you like

This video has finally explained how you can apply a basic solo pattern to any chord you're playing in by finding the root note on the bottom E string and playing the pattern. It's the first time i've seen someone thoroughly explain that to me and why learning the root notes on E can be helpful and how to fit it in with solo practicing.

will it possible with acoustic?
It's harder to solo on acoustic because the strings are heavier, and it's harder to reach the higher frets, even if you have a cutaway guitar...
But yes, this technique will work on acoustic guitar. :-)

This guy is the best guitar teacher I have ever seen. His attitude and his insights are perfect. Also it's great that he doesn't use backing tracks so that we can clearly hear exactly what he's doing. He will make it so understandable you can be as good as you want to be w/lessons like his. I paid for those VHS tapes that taught me not much & DVD's Mags books… Steve is a master Teacher & worth being paid for his work but here it is for all to see for free it's like I want to send him some funds to bless em for what he has done for people who want to learn . many that are older & can play a little refuse to take lessons man they are missing out. How, you have been playing for 17 freaking years. This guy goes over basic lead techniques. Have you just been playing Kumbaya for 17 years.
@@FirstLast-vn4di I have also been playing for 15-20 years, and i find this lesson useful. And i don't know Kumbaya, but i know Five Years with Bowie, i know Sweet Virginia with Stones, Evening Over Rooftops with Edgar Brougthon Band, Fisherman Blues with Waterboys and a bunch of my own songs.
And they sounds great without Steve`s lesson, go figure! But you never stop learning and youtube is great for new inspiration. Thanks a lot Steve! You are a good teacher.
Kind regards from Norway
@@FirstLast-vn4di obviously I can play things that are far more advanced than this, but it's still a useful little trick none the less. You can critique others when you learn how to punctuate a sentence. Cheers.
I am totally going to practice this, I have been struggling for nearly 40 years , you just opened up a new world for me..Rock On
40 years?? Damn! I hope I don't get to that extreme!!
+Pyykola Todd A good place to go next is to learn the minor pentatonic scale.
well maybe you should just stop 😂
+Gonzalo Chairez maybe its destiny. says my uncle chen
that is no reason to stop...every reason to go forward. I have been playing for a long long time. this is explained really well.
EXCELLENT! Thank you Sir.
The best lesson I've ever seen to soloing. Awesome!!!!
This makes so much sense finally, I’m about to cry. 😭🤣 Thank you so much

Bro the fundamentals in this are amazing. Always been a rhythm player and always timid with learning solos. Thus has given me such a good base
Loved it thank you it was very helpful. I’m subscribed. Trying to get better. Thanks for being so helpful and thorough and positive!
Me: "But Steve l don't own a guitar can l air guitar it?"
Steve: "Don't worry about that."
lmao
Sure. I study on air guitar. It helps to map the chords, in my mind.
🤘 thx! I'm a 40yr old punk metal guy. Always messed with guitar. Never had a lesson. You're a great teacher.
great! I just learned to solo today!!! So happy! Thanks a lot!
Thank you so much for this - really opened my eyes
Since I've seen this video I wonder if everyone else makes it difficult to learn on purpose. You're awesome I learned a lot today
I learned more from this 15 minutes than I have from countless hours on other videos. Very cool way of explaining things. Thank you!
I would go beyond.learned more than with some guy I was paying 30$ bucks an hour many years ago, when I could afford to spend that much money.
Great lesson Steve! Thanks for your help and the emphasis on keeping things fun!
Thanks for watching, Kevin! :-)

It does!!
I've known the open chords for years, but that was it....this just opened my eyes and made it exciting....not feeling so depressed right now!
@@unclefreddieDied Ok but you must learn to play bar chords it makes things easier.
Music does heal...This is why I am learning to play guitar!!!
It does
Started learning guitar 4 months ago via youtube and your videos and I play better than my friend who's been playing for 3 years :D Thank you!! Awesome teacher!
thanks for this , really appreciate your help, can't wait to try this
Great Lesson... Simple and easy yet concrete foundation to improve your skills more and more..
The solo exercise works very well if you learn the major and pentatonic scales.
Really it’s pentatonic minor
started on perfect 4th
Steve you are a great teacher, because you explain things in such a way, and your enthusiasm is contagious and give confidance. This really helps me with trying to do chord fill-ins on my semi acoustic, and you just provided the keys for me to learn Blues. So many likes - I wonder why!!!!
It's clear Steve is doing what he loves. Genius!
That was a great explaination of how to start soloing. Thanks Steve.
Going through some videos on this topic but you re the best, thank you
Amazing lesson, this dude just makes it really interesting and easy to follow...
agreed
Best teacher on the tube, and it's not even close
I’ve been playing for about four months and it’s always blown me away how some people can solo. I never knew where to even begin. Thank you.
Really cracked the code with this lesson Steve. Bless Up!
