I was on acutane, and my dermatologist told me: do NOTHING but cleanse, MOISTURIZE WITH THICK MOISTURIZER BC U WILL PEEL, and SUNSCREENNN. And that is IT. No makeup if possible! Like my dermatologist was very adamant about not even using treatments, especially salicylic acid!!! I cringed the whole time bc of my personal experience with acutane.
Exactly my dermatologist gave me a whole skincare routine with a gentle cleanser and a thick moisturizer that made all of that dryness go away. Oh and ofc sunscreen and almost no makeup on the skin. Thanks to her I had one of the smoothest journey with accutane! Seeing her routine made me cringe soooo hard poor girl
My dermatologist put me on accutane and thats all rip , but i just used to cerave hydrating cleanser, maybe the ordinary niacinimide serum a few times a week, and then the cerave moisturizer, and sunscreen for the rare times i go outside in quarantine
Phùng Linh Anh depends on your skin type I guess. And also depends on the type of serum but I suggest listening to your skin, if you feel like your skin needs a particular serum to target a problem then use it, for me personally I don’t always use serum two times a day but when I feel like I need it i do. Hope this helps 🤗
Y’all are saying he is sorta like James Charles...but honestly he’s more like brad mondo in my opinion 😂 , just the skin care rather than hair care lmao
Stop comparing him to other LGBTQ UA-camrs he’s on his own wave not doing anything even having to do with makeup! Oh and not to mention he hassss wayyyyyy more experience than James Charles. He’s been working with skin care and as a skin specialist way longer than James Charles has probably been playing around with makeup.
Do a tik tok of your skincare routine and wait for him to announce he will be reacting to his subscribers/tik tok followers and tag him in it. He reacts to his subscribers/followers routine quite a bit
@@michellemontas5756 Im not warrior Banshee, but I think I need help with my skin, Im actually struggling with acne scars/dark spots and mild acne only around the cheeks,so I dont really know what Im doing wrong, Im currently using Castor oil for the first step And I then use Cetaphil Oily skin cleanser ( I have combination to oily skin) I cleanse for about 60 sec and then move onto AHA BHA of the Ordinary, Aztec clay mask Thayers Rose petal witch Hazel TO Niacinamide Cerave Daily Moisturizing lotion and then I use the castor oil again as my last step. I dont know what Im doing wrong here, There Is improvement on my skin after using TO and Cerave, also sorry for my English I speak Eng as my second language :)
EllipticSky is Gay ok I gotchu, I would skip the aztec clay unless you aren’t letting it completely dry out. Sometimes it can be way too drying on skin. Personally I’ve found either water+natural matcha green tea (no sugar please) as a mask can bring down inflammation and heal even the hard under the skin pimples. Also I love Khiel’s Tumeric and Cranberry mask, that’s been my go to. I don’t scrub it off, just rinse. Also I would tone before using any serum. Tone right after washing it after you mask. I’m ok with witch hazel (shoot me 💁🏼♀️) but when it’s formulated in a gentle toner I think it’s fine. I like everything else you’re doing. For Castor oil I find it’s a little stiff to double cleanse with, if you do try grapeseed oil. As a last step at night I think castor oil is great, you can try only using it a few times a week if you want to see if your skin calms down. You could use it on your lashes and around your eyes every night tho. Castor oil promotes collagen and can help with anti aging. It is anti inflammatory as well so I would hope that it’s helping your acne. One last thing, try only masking a couple times a week. It’s a lot of your skin to do it every night if you are.
GOD it's so weird seeing that this was uploaded in 2020. I feel like the year doesn't even exist lol. It's just idk how to explain. Great video by the way lol.
She's on Accutane!!! Not sure if this was for everyone, but when I was on Accutane, my dermatologist gave me the products I needed for my face, and there was plenty of moisturizers, no exfoliation, no sun exposure, no waxing, no creams with vitamin A or salicylic acid...there are so many rules she broke! She needs to get in contact with who prescribed the Accutane and get some skin care routine. You don't mess with your skin, especially when on Accutane.
Miha Cozmei This is what I’m thinking too! I didn’t end up buying anything from my derm but he did give me a ton of information on gentle cleansers, moisturizers, occlusives- it should’ve been said upfront not to use any type of exfoliants or actives bc accutane is already doing that for you. And to not moisturize her face at all? Her moisture barrier has to be nonexistent which is probably the worst thing that you could do to your skin on accutane or really in general.
exactly my thoughts.. i was cringing this entire video. hyram should maybe educate himself about accutane so he could better give tips using his platform.
My derm told me the same. I had to stop using my salicylic acid toner. In fact she said keeping it simple with a skincate routine on accutane is better because it's such an intense treatment. My skin hurts just watching her not apply moisturiser aha
everything you use should be geared toward hydration and moisture to protect your skin barrier and keep your skin comfortable and supple. cream or oil cleansers to not over strip your skin of the little hydration it has left, natural oils like jojoba or rosehip, heavy moisturizer advertised as ‘sleeping masks’, no toner, no actives, and NO RUBBING. especially with wash cloths or even makeup remover wipes. your skin becomes so delicate and sensitive, your goal should be to keep it safe and simple with your ingredients and your skin care steps.
They told me to buy a moisturizer with spf for when i go in the sun and not to use any other products i would use for acne because the medicine is doing that already. My skin is totally clear now. Its totally worth it.
Coming from an esthetician: The fact that a derm put her on accutane and clearly didn’t ask anything about this 100% problematic routine = the bane of my existence
Acutane changed my 14 year old son’s life. I was scared putting him on it, and researched the hell out of it, but in the end I’m thankful we did. A year later and no cystic acne and nice clear skin. He had no issues on it either.
It's true. When I was on Accutane my derm gave me a huge bag of Cetaphil and CeraVe and told me I should be just using a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and a lot of sunscreen. Her skin is already going through the wringer, she should not be using any actives right now.
100%!!! I was on accutane when I was a teen and I remember that while I was on it, my skin became extremely sensitive. I had to be careful with products and use lots of sunscreen. I am so concerned for this poor lady's skin!
Hyram: NO FRAGRANCE Brad mondo: BLEACH DOESNT LATHER Yes they are now classified as the same person thank you Edit: TYSM FOR 2.6k likes I’ve never gotten that much before oml
well...thats kinda what happens when you have acne...and you touch it. Literally if you do anything to cystic acne it will become red. It will become irritated. Like theres nothing you can do to avoid that lol
Me!!! Im an esthetician and I feel he has more knowledge in topical application of products compared to dermalogists (not bagging on derms, but they are supposed to understand the dermis of the skin)

@@johanawilson1889 serum is to target the problem of your skin. After using cleanser, use serum. Then after the serum sink into your skin, use moisturiser.
@@johanawilson1889 To make things easier, you can apply your skincare products by consistency order (thin texture to thick texture) ex: serum is thinner than moisturizer but is thicker than toner so it should be applied in between
Brenda Depasupil my dermatologist wanted to help me with my acne although that wasnt what I came to him for. I decided to give it a chance. The creme would be really drying, so he said use cleanser before it and moisturizer after. I used it like this for 3 weeks and got a burn like feeling, so I just quit using it. When I saw him 3 weeks after that and told him I quit using it he got really upset and I explained it to him and he went “then. dont. use. cleanser or moisturizer. at all” and my brain was like ?!?!?!!?! All I thought was; listen my skin is not all acne, in fact my acne is not even half as bad as it used to be. But I didnt tell him that because I felt kinda forced to trying it again without cleanser/moisturizer - 3 days and I had a really severe reaction 😂
I definitely think you’re selling you self short when you say you don’t know a ton! You are very well educated & I personally really appreciate your tips & suggestions!
Even though I agree to some extent I think what he is trying to get across is not to rely on his judgement ad there are some bases and topics he is unsure about and is still learning new facts like everyone else
Kendall Jenner’s “dermatologist” is not actually a dermatologist! He is a general practitioner with some training in laser, fillers, etc. It is legal in the U.S. for someone with an M.D. to perform these and other more invasive procedures, but he does not have derm training, he is not board certified in anything, let alone dermatology, and he has had his license revoked and suspended more than once for negligence. He is not an aesthetician or a dermatologist either, and I think it’s safe to say Hyram DOES know more than him.
I used both and have stuck with cerave! Cerave for the win! It was gentle and more effective for me. Cetaphil just left a film over my fave and the wash actually left me feeling really tight. I didn’t think it was at all gentle
Everyone saying he is like James Charles. Shut the front door. HE IS LIKE BRAD MONDO. Except, the skincare version. 💎✨ Hyram is so underrated!! He is amazing!
Temmy E ..from my past experience, i’ve figured that rubbing your face with a rough texture cloth can actually “scrape” your face and leave scars! But like he said, if you’re rubbing your face with a product, that shouldn’t be a problem but just make sure not to rub too hard ❣️
Temmy E personally I like to use a facial brush but a wash cloth will work fine too! Maybe not everyday because exfoliating too much can irritate and dry your skin. (Just a tip, try dabbing your face when you dry it) 😊
I love how not only do you explain the science and the reasoning behind your opinions, but you also make sure to give recommendations and suggestions for people to follow instead of just saying what’s going wrong 😊
@@fabi3597 use a cleansing oil to remove makeup and then follow up with a cleansing wash to remove the dirt. I'd follow up with a salicylic acid and then a basic moisturizer. Makeup wipes are the WORST especially for acne
Fabiana cleansing oil or balm!! And I use a microfiber cloth to remove before going in with my regular cleanser. Always double cleanse! (Specifically in the evening.)
Fabiana idk your skin type but i have super sensitive and oily skin. make up wipes would make my skin so red and inflamed and sometimes even rip open active breakouts (ew i know). i’ve had great luck using micellular water as a remover instead by gently massaging it on my skin to break up the make up and then rinsing with water. then i just use a basic cleanser. i would def recommend trying one to basically anyone who wares makeup
@@fabi3597 yes big time. It causes irritation, inflammation, scarring etc you name it. Stop using the wipes. Theyre full of bad shit that makes your acne and skin overrall worst. Switch to micellar water for now. Saturate the cotton pads well with it so its not causing much friction on your skin. It takes off makeup a whole lot better and 10 times easier. The bioderma micellar water he mentioned is good. A cheaper alternative that I personally use is the "Nivea o2 micellar water fragarance free" the senstive version just as good imo. They have one for each skin type make sure its the fragarance free ones. The best would be a cleasing balm or cleasing oil. But personally my eyes cant tolerate oils and I just have no time to be using two different forms of makeup removes for eyes and face. Micellar water works perfectly fine and gets everything off before I use my cleanser. I also think its easier to switch from wipes to micellar water rather than from wipes to cleasing oils or balms. Stick to everything fragarance free is my biggest tip. Fragarance makes everything worse including acne. Btw if youre looking for a new cleanser to try the "cerave SA cleanser" its a great cleanser for breakouts. Cheap, effective and fragarance free.
Samee..i have very oily skin and i used to think that moisturizing would make me breakout even more. And i avoided moisturizer or any type of oil-based product on my face. The acne was still getting worse. I changed my mind and started using moisturizers but not too oily as my skin is already so oily. My skin is so much better! I don't usually have breakouts anymore, just a pimple here and there. MOISTURIZE PEOPLE!
I totally get that! When I thought moisture was the enemy, I also thought I had weird combination skin. Now I know it’s very straightforward: If I don’t use good products, my skin gets dry. Then I get pimples when I finally moisturize it. If I consistently use good products, my skin adjusts and improves.
I love how you genuinely want to educate and help others better their skin care routines w soft humor; instead of belittling or ‘making fun of’ others. I love watching your videos!
I know that you don’t claim to be a dermatologist but you’ve helped me more with my skin than my dermatologist did within 5 appointments so thank you for that :)
Yeah... my dermatologist looked at my face for half a second and immediately prescribed me medication and left the room :/ didn’t give me advice on anything or answer any of my questions 💀
I died when one of my exes told me no one in his family uses face wash, sisters, brother, mom, no one. They all just used one soap and I think the women used some shampoo/conditioner. He had terrible skin too of course lol
Lmao my mom told me since I was little that water is enough and it really has always been, there hasn’t always been cleansers and face wash around and girls had beautiful skin back in the day w jus water :)
Here’s my story with skincare that no one ever asked about: Ever since I was young, I had pretty decent skin. The only type of “skin care” I ever started was around age 15. I used neutrogenas pink grapefruit SCRUB as a DAILY face wash. Yes we all know which one I’m talking about. I would follow up with only moisturizer (actually a decent from from neutrogena that is hyram approved and fragrance free, but it was just a coincidence at the time!) NO SPF, and occasionally would use makeup wipes!! Ugh I STILL HAD CLEAR SKIN despite all these things I was using! Well that’s up until I turned 20. Imagine never having acne during your teen years and thinking you’re just gonna have good skin forever? Hahahaha Out of no where I began breaking out like crazy on my upper back and entire face. It was so stressful and the dark marks (hyperpigmentation) I was experiencing would not go away for 3-5 business MONTHS. Yes that’s obviously because I was obliterating the newfound sensitivity to my skin. I was using a SALICYLIC ACID SCRUB. It was wayyyy too abrasive. I literally remember exiting the shower on multiple occasions with a red BURNING HOT face. I was definitely ruining it more. Of course my skin only got worse and worse, and all the UA-cam DIY skincare was making it worse as well....until I ran into hyram early 2020. He still hadn’t hit 1M, but I felt like I was actually receiving knowledge about products on the market not being advertised an expensive brand or taught a “DIY” honey face scrub... At first I didn’t actually take his advice, it felt like too much to absorb at once. But after like a month of binge watching his videos I decided to just go for it and ordered Niacinimide retinol and a new cleanser / moisturizer & started using SPF. My skin has not only COMPLETELY TRANSFORMED since then, I’ve also managed to stop the breakouts on my upper back and the hyperpigmentation is almost completely faded! I also learned how to properly incorporate other great serums like vit c and azaleic acid. Literally thanks to hyram I have my old skin back, I even had a recent pregnancy which triggered an insane hormonal response which broke out my entire forehead. I KID YOU NOT, I followed my skin care to the T for 3 days, and EVERYTHING WAS GONE, I’m talking about like at least 25 individual pimples all across my forehead were shriveled and faded away, the marks were barely visible... less than a week of following my skincare did that... I literally love you hyram for making skincare a thing and transforming my skin for the better along with thousands of others I’m sure.... when I saw him finally blow up it was so nice to see! He deserves all of this.
When I was on Accutane, my dermatologist recommended using only cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer. And sunscreen. Was expressly forbidden to use anything "anti-acne" on top of the Accutane.
Same!!! I threw out a bunch of products that i had with salicylic acid and alcohol! I used to struggle so much with acne and had the longest skin care routine. After accutane and consulting with my dermatologist I learned that it’s best to keep it simple and gentle on the face! LESS IS MORE
god I'm on accutane too, I can't even imagine using salicylic acid on it. gentle cleanser and thick moisturizer is all my skin can handle at the moment edit: I also use sunscreen don't drag me

I love how positive he is, with every correction he tries to find something positive or isnt too harsh about his comments. He seems like a super nice guy!
I actually started using it after I heard it... my face has NEVER been better. Since like high school. It’s transformed my skin. It’s so weird too because I used to have the MOST sensitive skin. So I was so nervous to try it. But it actually has helped my face so so much. I barely break out at all. I do make sure to completely take it off when I’m done though which I’m sure helps!
I experimented with baby oil and vaseline one night and I woke up with the softest skin ever Didn't keep doing it tho cause idk if it'd damage my skin in the long term
Yeah, it's like a mineral oil with some hint of perfume. I'm terrified even to think about what would happen to my sensitive acne prone skin if I'd use it lol.
You have honestly really helped me improve my skin. I was looking at pictures of me a year ago and I never realized how bad it was, but you helped me improve my skin so much! ❤️❤️❤️
I was on accutane and my derm told me : gentle cleanser ~cetaphil~ lots of moisturizer ~also recommended cetaphil~ and sunscreen. WHY IS SHE EXFOLIATING LIKE THAT. Accutane not only dries you up but you skin layer thins out and becomes so sensitive HENCE why the moisturizer and sunscreen is super important. This chick is literally murdering her skin. She needs to pay attention to her dermatologist
marriedtomakeup exactly!! That’s why I was confused on why she went to go see another dermatologist when she’s already on accutane?? Like that’s already the last step when dealing with acne
that’s what i was thinking! i’ve been off accutane for about 3 or 4 years now so i don’t remember exactly, but I thought I was told specifically NOT to exfoliate bc the med makes the skin so dry and irritated. I remember i couldn’t wax my eyebrows bc my skin was so so sensitive. idk how her skin is handling it.
Right? I was on Acccutane THREE times in my teens (do not recommend that though...) and I needed a thick moisturizer while on it, because Accutane stops your oil production.... Even my arms got extremely dry, my lips got chapped like crazy etc. She needs to douse herself in lotion 😂
ava lauren Because Accutane IS exactly that :p. It worked amazingly well with me, but! I had to go back on it twice after, because the acne always came back (although not as much as before Accutane). I hope people understand the risks of the medication and that it might not always work, depending on the cause of your acne! If someone ís on it though: follow your doctors advice, which is probably MOISTURIZE! :-)
Curious to see what her face would’ve looked like before accutane if she had washed it (I know just washing your face doesn’t fix acne. Been on accutane twice)

Brittany Morton yup! i’m still in the beginning of my course so i don’t have too much dead skin buildup but my derm said to just use a washcloth after a warm shower to gently rub everything off
Cee Riece everyone needs to wear sunscreen on accutane because it makes your skin more sensitive in all aspects.(to sun, products, etc) the best thing for anyone on accutane (regardless of the dose) is a gentle routine with a lot of moisturizing and a very high spf!

@@golddigger5981 maybe change moisturizers?? I have super oily skin but still use a light, water based, gel moisterizer. @@lumiscince our skin is different so what works for me might not for you. I have sensitive skin that tends to be dry but is also very dependant my menstrual cycle - oily on my period, fairly normal (but dry) a week or two after my period, and uber dry a week or two before my period. In my experience, skincare that is geared specificaly toward acne tends to have a lot of drying alcohols, benzoil peroxide, and their moisturizers are never moisturizing enough. Since it's important to keep your skin hydrated, even with oily skin, I find these products make my skin unhappy, which leads to more acne. Hyram has mentioned that he has oily skin, and he tends to suggest products that are good for sensitive skin, so his other videos might be a good resource for you. For me, I've found three things help keep my acne under control: 1) take care of my skin without worrying about acne. Make sure it's hydrated, use gentle cleansers. When it is oily, use ingredients like niacinamide to control the oil without drying it out. Limit fragrance 2) chemical exfoliants like AHAs (preventative) and salicylic acid (treatment). Salicilic acid is used in a lot of acne treatments but I only use it as a spot treatment 3) Retinol. Make sure to look up a *lot* of videos and blog posts about how to get started on 2 and 3 since it's not something you just want to jump into, especially with sensitive skin. I think Lab Muffin Beauty Science has a video on it. These also have anti aging benefits so you're getting a two for one deal :)
I don’t drink milk or eat meat. I also am on birth control so my hormones are balanced (used to get hormonal acne). I no longer wear foundation (just some concealer). And I use a natural bar of soap that is for dry skin or has charcoal in it (my skin reacts really well to charcoal) Also I moisturize a lot because my skin is dry (Burts Bees or Pacifica moisturize). Drink a lot of water. I have an acne ointment to apply to any pimples or bumps that I got from the dermatologist.
Cetaphil gentle cleanser actually did wonder to my acne. I could say, it opened my eyes to skincare more. And now, I pumped my routine because of Hyram. But I still use it occasionally 😊
She really needed you as a cleansing balm, it would have helped soothe her skin a lot more and not cause of the dry out as much I have learned that from experience my self
maria.elena Hm I see. I’m more particular about cleanliness than most people so I think about that stuff lol. Also I have struggled with super bad acne in the past so I’m really aware about dirt on my face and keeping clean. Like with the pillowcase for example, sleeping on dirty pillow cases gives you acne because the dirt seeps into your skin over night, so you’re meant to change your pillowcases out regularly.
ZLink0692 ZLink0692 i’ve also had horrible acne in the past, and so i’ve done plenty of research about it and i know about the pillow case thing. i just haven’t really thought about trying to prevent my pillowcase from getting dirty, only thought about washing it regularly
In my early teenage years I had HORRIBLE acne. Thinking back, no wonder it was so bad, I used detergent-like cleansers and scrubbed my poor over-exfoliated face raw. No moisturizer or sunscreen. And to think I used to wonder why my breakouts were so bad and my skin was so oily. So glad I started researching skincare, finally got all those scars to go away!
Hyram, you should start a show, were you have guests come on the show who have skin issues, and want a routine, and you recommend them the best skin care routine for them, and then months down the line you get them back on to see how they're getting on. Just a thought
having been on accutane, everything she did in this video is a HUGE no no. while on accutane you aren’t supposed to exfoliate hardly ever or use any kind of other acne treatment like salicylic acid or anything like that. idk if her dermatologist just neglected to tell her that or if she ignored the doctor or what but this is a huge big no no
im so glad i did my own research before going on to accutane since my dermatologist literally just gave me the medication not saying anything about skincare or side affects
@@tiamitar184 i’m just glad i had a good dermatologist who took the time to educate not only me, but my mother as well so we were both aware of the side effect and potential reactions it could have.

I think she has the assumption that since her skin breaks out and she has acne that she needs to stay away from moisture and oils and dry her skin out more, which isn’t true at all.

She’s on accutane!! Accutane stops all oil production so she really really needs a moisturiser. When I was on accutane I was told not to use anything abrasive on my skin because it becomes to delicate and sensitive, I had to use E45 body lotion as my moisturiser because there was nothing else that delivered the level of moisture I needed. My dermatologist put me on accutane and thats all rip , but i just used to cerave hydrating cleanser, maybe the ordinary niacinimide serum a few times a week, and then the cerave moisturizer, and sunscreen for the rare times i go outside in quarantine
I literally screamed when I heard salicylic acid when she is on accutane. Like how?? Why???
Can i ask, can i use serum everyday, morning and night??
Phùng Linh Anh depends on your skin type I guess. And also depends on the type of serum but I suggest listening to your skin, if you feel like your skin needs a particular serum to target a problem then use it, for me personally I don’t always use serum two times a day but when I feel like I need it i do. Hope this helps 🤗

I cleanse for about 60 sec and then move onto
AHA BHA of the Ordinary,
Aztec clay mask
Thayers Rose petal witch Hazel
TO Niacinamide
Cerave Daily Moisturizing lotion
and then I use the castor oil again as my last step.

Hahahah oh nooo 😬😭
I am so concerned for this poor lady's skin!
misteeirene I’m 15 and just got off accutane and it changed my skin as well 🥰

Dermatologists are not perfect. My sister went to one who prescribed her a ton of chemical peels and probibited her from using moisturizer. 😬

He is not an aesthetician or a dermatologist either, and I think it’s safe to say Hyram DOES know more than him.

i GASPED when she started RUBBING her face with a WASH CLOTH
camille me too!! 😱
Is that bad to use because I use it everyday??!
Temmy E rubbing is bad im not sure if a washing cloth is bad but rubbing your face is
Temmy E ..from my past experience, i’ve figured that rubbing your face with a rough texture cloth can actually “scrape” your face and leave scars!
It hurts my soul when people use makeup wipes over active breakouts. The daaaaamage. 🙁
Fabiana Oil cleanse , then go in with your face wash. what I do is oil cleanse and then follow up with Cerave hydrating cleanser
Im acne prone and it took me yearssss to finally understand that moisture and hydration are my friend, not my enemy!
I realised that in 2019 😣😣😣
But now I'm doing a lot better.
Anjuman Prova 2020 is all about learning and growing!!

@@GlobaL0ve me and my whole family just wash our face with water. Last year I started watching skin care routines and cringed at what I had been doing
Here’s my story with skincare that no one ever asked about:
Ever since I was young, I had pretty decent skin.
Ugh
I STILL HAD CLEAR SKIN despite all these things I was using! Well that’s up until I turned 20. Imagine never having acne during your teen years and thinking you’re just gonna have good skin forever? Hahahaha
Out of no where I began breaking out like crazy on my upper back and entire face.
He deserves all of this.

when she didn’t even wash her face...
*a part of me died*
lauren elizabeth SAME I COULDNT EVEN WATCH I WAS IN SHOCK
Curious to see what her face would’ve looked like before accutane if she had washed it (I know just washing your face doesn’t fix acne. Been on accutane twice)
S H O O K i was talking about in that specific video, don’t get me wrong i love summer, but you should wash your face every day
IKRRR
@@sodapoprincess i am here
Sitting
In shock that u are saying that u supposed to wash ur face everyday
For example i can't
I just have allergy for something in shampoo, gels for face, soap for hands, face etc and i can't soo i don't do that
Soo i was while watching
Like yeah okay
She kinda scrub soo much but yeah
i’m on accutane.. i was told to avoid all active ingredients like salicylic acid. i cant even use the aztec indian clay mask because accutane thins out your skin.. i wish she did more research
euna same!! I was told not to really exfoliate unless I had to
I’m on roaccutane which is basically just accutane in the UK, but the only thing I was told to do was to wear sunscreen, but it might depend on the dosage you take.
Brittany Morton yup! i’m still in the beginning of my course so i don’t have too much dead skin buildup but my derm said to just use a washcloth after a warm shower to gently rub everything off
Cee Riece everyone needs to wear sunscreen on accutane because it makes your skin more sensitive in all aspects.(to sun, products, etc) the best thing for anyone on accutane (regardless of the dose) is a gentle routine with a lot of moisturizing and a very high spf!
i used the most basic cleansers and products on accutane! anything with those active ingredients would’ve irritated my skin so much
She didn’t even wash her face she just took off her makeup😬
Mya Shithead she used a washcloth and washed her face ¿
carly that won’t get deep into the pore that only gets the surface of the skin
carly she just wet her face....
i made it 1k likes😎
Look at Hyrams comment, she said she did use a cleanser but apparently didn't show it in the video.
hyram makes makeup wipes sound like they’re sand paper lmao
It's sandpaper trying to be moist 😟
they feel like sandpaper on my sensitive skin
I’m going to get famous only so this guy can rate my skincare routine
I support this statement
Hell yes
you’re like brad mondo but the skincare edition and i mean that in a good way 😭💕
Priscilla Murillo yes! i love brad 😆
So true
Totally
I LOVE BRAD! 💎✨
Summer: Uses one moisturizer on only on part of her face.
Me: slaps on 3 different moisturizers all over my face and neck because it’s winter and my skin needs it.
Raeanna Williams I basically have to bathe in moisturiser. I can relate.
Essence, serum, moisturizer, oil
The winter 4
The summer 4
The all time 4 tbh
Raeanna Williams literally. my skin is so dry.
she probably does that bc when i moisturize in certain places i break out more
@@golddigger5981 maybe change moisturizers?? I have super oily skin but still use a light, water based, gel moisterizer. Its important to not make ur skin dry by not moisterizing, because if its too dry, you'll only get more oil in the future. At the very least, use a softener or serum or smth after cleansing
You were one of my main inspirations to start a skin care routine and I LOVE it. It's not only beneficial for my skin, but as a person with anxiety and sleeping issues, I also think it's a wonderful ritual and self care.
I don’t know who this girl is but she seems to be avoiding actually washing her face with real flowing liquid water.... which is kinda.... no
Lmao liquid water ajahhaa
Bibbi DaSilva 🤦♀️😐
I didn’t know she had a bunch of acne honestly.
Kennedy Heald it happened to her recently because she did an acne laser which went bad for her and caused her terrible face irritation
Kennedy Heald tbh
@@rania8256 is that real?
Susan Glz. yes
its recent, apparently shes like allergic to lazers and had a lazer treatment which gave her a cystic acne reaction.
I've learned when treating my acne, to avoid anything that claims it's good for acne.
M. G. Yesss👏🏻 I swear it’s like it’s actually making it worse.
M. G. :0 aa what do u mean? do u have any products that arent necessarily aimed toward acne but have worked for u that youd recommend ... im trying to find better acne products for my oily & sensitive skin :(
@@lumiscince our skin is different so what works for me might not for you. These also have anti aging benefits so you're getting a two for one deal :)
yessss
I don’t drink milk or eat meat. I also am on birth control so my hormones are balanced (used to get hormonal acne). I no longer wear foundation (just some concealer). And I use a natural bar of soap that is for dry skin or has charcoal in it (my skin reacts really well to charcoal)
Also I moisturize a lot because my skin is dry (Burts Bees or Pacifica moisturize).
I couldn’t believe how red her face got while wiping it down. Like she could have definitely used a better technique
She really needed you as a cleansing balm, it would have helped soothe her skin a lot more and not cause of the dry out as much I have learned that from experience my self
maybe that’s just her skin.. if i touch my skin a little bit, it starts get red, but you’re right! she should be a lot more careful with her skin;)
Sydney Lim My face gets red when I first take my makeup off. It might just be her skin type.
It’s weird to me when people don’t clean their face. Wouldn’t you be grossed out laying your face on your pillow with out cleansing your skin?
ZLink0692 EXACTLY
ZLink0692 they probably don’t think about it... i wash my face but i’ve never thought about that
maria.elena Hm I see.
ZLink0692 ZLink0692 i’ve also had horrible acne in the past, and so i’ve done plenty of research about it and i know about the pillow case thing. i just haven’t really thought about trying to prevent my pillowcase from getting dirty, only thought about washing it regularly
maria.elena That makes sense
I’m sorry this is off topic but YOUR EYES ARE STUNNING.
RIGHT?! i was thinking the same thing!
So glad I started researching skincare, finally got all those scars to go away!
she didn’t even wash her face i-
read the pinned top comment. she does haha
Right...
idk who she is but.... if hyram is dragging bad skin habits im HERE FOR ITTT

Hyram: Double Cleanse

Also South Korea
Stop.
Lil Napkin lol
He ain’t wrong tho.
that ain't wrong tho, you should check it out
Hyram, you should start a show, were you have guests come on the show who have skin issues, and want a routine, and you recommend them the best skin care routine for them, and then months down the line you get them back on to see how they're getting on. Just a thought
**Doesn’t know who Summer Mckeen is**

Omg no moisturizer?!? My dry skin screamed in agony just watching that happen.
Christiana Bowles me too 💀
Christiana Bowles watching that stridex wipe made me itchy lol
Dang even my oily skin did
having been on accutane, everything she did in this video is a HUGE no no. while on accutane you aren’t supposed to exfoliate hardly ever or use any kind of other acne treatment like salicylic acid or anything like that. idk if her dermatologist just neglected to tell her that or if she ignored the doctor or what but this is a huge big no no
I know that this is an old comment, but I watched Summer's vlog where she visited the dematologist, and he recommended some of this to her.
@@BrieCheese well her dermatologist is going to cause permanent damage to her skin💀 this is why you always always get a second opinion
im so glad i did my own research before going on to accutane since my dermatologist literally just gave me the medication not saying anything about skincare or side affects
@@tiamitar184 i’m just glad i had a good dermatologist who took the time to educate not only me, but my mother as well so we were both aware of the side effect and potential reactions it could have.
I'm so happy about how nice and gentle you were with her. That speaks good about you as a person. And I'm also very pleased she reached out to. I hope she follows some of your recommendations to see improvements. 🥰🥰💟💟
I think she has the assumption that since her skin breaks out and she has acne that she needs to stay away from moisture and oils and dry her skin out more, which isn’t true at all.
Haven't we all been there... If I think about what I did to my skin when I was younger. OMG
She honestly needs to see this
Saying he didn’t start skincare until he was 19....I’m over here finding out about face moisturizer a year ago...at 27....😭
Alyssa None #metoo !
Girl! I know! I only got my act together in my mid 20s. Now I'm almost 32 and the regrets are real! Lol
Aight,I started doing skin care at the age of 16 is that bad?
I started skincare at 19... But only acne skincare... Didn't start using sunscreen until 28 and eyecream only a year ago... I cringe at the amount of damage I did stripping my skin and not using sunscreen,i could've been over here with baby smooth skin😭😭😭
mstarburst I was really late to starting sunscreen too. I cringe thinking of the amount of sunburns I’ve gone through. I have too much anxiety for that nowadays.
This how many times ive heard him talk about makeup wipes

Love that Hyram keeps the environment in mind with products
You should react to the 38-step madelaine petchs skincare routine, you'll hallucinate with that video.
grecia vera he actually did a video on that already😂
@@chynnarodriguez928 whats the title of that??
Paulina Heine. Actually I jus checked and it wasn’t him that did a video on her routine, I think it was a different person that I was thinking of..lol sorry😕
There’s a woman whose an esthetician who did a review on it.
Cassandra Bankson did a reaction video to that!
She needs to talk to whoever prescribed her that accutane!!
Yes same I use E45 Body and Face lotion as a Moisturiser it is soo good glad to find someone else uses it too 😂
OMFG thank you for this, E45 is the only thing that is hydrating enough for the desert that is my skin
Can you tell me how the bottle look or give me a link, I want to try it and buy the correct one
ale j There’s a white version and there’s a blue version. Personally I feel like the blue version which is a night cream is sooo moisturising. I use it on my elbows and knees and my skin is GLOWINg. It’s soo good on the face but I think it has fragrance
What about using serum??? I'm using tea tree oil and vitamin e serum. I'm on differin adapalene and my skin is really dry.
“Brava”. Bravo. I love you Hyram. Big classical fan here and knowing your Bravo/Brava/Bravi tutti is a skill that should not be lost
And I had no skincare routine until I found you. I had a good cleanse/moisturize routine but I’m 57. It's time. I’ve avoided the sun but now I’m a Vit c/retinol/HA/Niacinamide/copper peptides/acids/sunscreen junkie.
Doesn’t sound so good when I write it down. And I just spent $30 on a lip balm this morning. But my wrinkles are shrinking and my pores look smaller and I have zero blackheads. So thank you Hyram
When she rubbed with that washcloth man my anxietyevel went 📈
I feel like her makeup removing process is like mine when im on vacation and don’t have enough time or products
Yes! Or when you stay over at someone's house and don't have your whole mess of products and wash cloths
Or when I’m drunk 🙃

I’ve never heard of any of these two, Hyram just popped up in my feed!
okay but i want you to judge my skin care routine and tell me what i’m doing wrong
