There is huge difference between an electrician and solar installer. Always let professionals to install your inverter with recommended wires and breakers. An electrician can burn your house down.

And clearly knows the difference between AC and DC conductors, voltage drop etc. A solar company almost always has undertrained technicians who have absolutely no business doing electrical wiring. That may be but there are tech warning out about using the cheap disconnects and fuses.. Seems that if you try to open the connection by flipping the breaker or switch under load you cause an arc that cannot be extinguished thus melting and setting on fire the cheap switch.. Quality switches have ceramic arc stopping/extinguishing channels..
Very low chance of the inverter actually burning here because of all the safety features has but everything still possible especially if the protection circuit is toasted and the it somehow still allows pass through 😂
we really don't have any information to determine why there's a fire, we can only guess it's the incompetence of the installer not using the correctly sized and rated materials. All I can see are flames. I don't see what size or type of wire used. I would suspect it's a home owner install with no knowledge of power distribution.
It's due to bad wiring. And every inverter has a DC switch on the bottom turn it off. And even better turn the breaker off to. And make sure to call a licensed electrician. And only us copper wire and make sure the disconnect is overrated. Because if it is right up to the limit it will get hot. The disconnect is meant for temporary not consistent load. and by over size the disconnect will make it run cooler. Also never use aluminum wire especially with big loads. In this case it's common for the screw terminals on the disconnect to get loose if it's not torqued to the right torque. And there was no electric grease used to keep it from crowding wire.
Always have some sand in bucket at your Home 🏡. turns off grid supply and solar panels supply then put some sand on Fire electrical Fire call Proper technician for electrical shortage
This fire probably started when molten material from blown MOSFETs sprayed from the vents on the side of this cheap Chinese made high frequency, transformerless inverter. If you want to avoid this type of scenario, then buy a low frequency, transformer based inverter instead.
