    Warning!
A hydraulic ram pump is a water pump that has high pressure and can explode at any time.
Be careful when the pump is working, do not let your body rest on the tube
    Thank you for your participation
    Hope it is useful
    ______________________________________________
    Peringatan!
Pompa Hidram merupakan pompa air yang bertekanan tinggi dan sewaktu-waktu dapat meledak,
Berhati-hatilah saat pompa bekerja, jangan biarkan tubuh Anda bertumpu pada Tabung
    Terima kasih atas partisipasinya
    semoga bermanfaat

You my dear friend are a very intelligent human being.
I'm an engineer and fully understand your process, methods and fluid dynamics obviously as you do too.
Your video presentation is outstanding and the way in which you apply multiples in process is admirable because it is correct 👍
      *As a note to you*
If you are not already educating the younger generations, please do so ,and the "above header precautionary notice you've stipulated is very important also- yes it can explode and be dangerous 👍
Thankyou for your wonderful efforts in presenting this on this platform and other platforms aswell if you've not done already!
This is exactly why UA-cam was created.
It's YOU and who what you are without contrived nonsense!
You have a very good knowledge of fluid dynamics and mechanical principles that are your asset that is quite valuable to future generations and in saying so myself , please continue to inspire the future generations for they need you and people like you and I to show them in practice what is doable even when there is little at hand to achieve great feats.
Thankyou for posting a time piece of your talent ❤️👍

@@ggrthemostgodless8713 woah everything alright with you? why are you so pissed ist this guy one of your family or what? what he showed here is a simply ram pump that is known for ages and is not really what i would call high pressure thats all i said, when reading the title of the video one would think he came up with something new that could deliver like thousands of galons an hour, and i don´t envy him for "inventing" that, why would i? i can just set up a normal pump and plug it in the wall and use it, the only thing one could envy him is that he has such a nice property where he can do all those things.
but if i had the ambition to do so i could easily look some things up in the internet and build it on video and slap a clickbaity title on it but i have no intention of doing so , but i also don´t like people that do like they are leonardo da vinci who inveted something what has never been seen before but then pull something out there and instead of using of the shelf parts building the valves themselve and whatnot and do as if they invented the whole thing, wake up man

Only correction I can say is to use cleaner on the pipe for better glue penetration… can budget the money by applying the glue to the female side of the fittings half way into each. Will save glue and make a neater and stronger connection. 👍GREAT job. Absolutely love your ability to make your own relief valves ! Adjustable at that . Amazing work ! Un-Paralleled work ethic’s 👍

Very interesting design, I see that the 3 valves could not only help in long-term operation but also with the pressure, however, I think it'd be smarter to make the 3 valves have their gates(or whatever you'd call the part that actually helps with the switching) physically connected to each other for synchronization (even tho it's able to sync by itself), or just use one single huge valve.
Also, I'm pretty sure the vibration will eventually make the nuts move out of place which will require manual tuning again, a simple fix for that would just be adding another nut or using something like Locktite ig.

@@jduzivotem3985 Now that i think about it, sure one can put electric pump on the intake or just swapping it to output when he climbs up, pressurizing the system and turn it off an on again to create the pressure change, but faking it takes more effort in automation than building this and ram pumps do create considerably less flow compared to main stream but if you look the water reserve pipe, there is hefty amount coming to keep it empty. Fill the dam full and it probably could work least until dam is empty.
I would love to build one to test this but lack any flowing water most of the year, so there is no point in that regard.

I thought about this as a marine engineer. There should be 2 necessity. 1 is a running water. 2 is the vacuum. Water runs and fills that 3 pipes. When the amount passes critical amount the wacuum on the hollow kicks in and let 3 check valves to open, sucks a certain amount of water. Then the outside air pressure becomes higher than the vacuum, water starts running from 3 pipes to outside until the cycle repeats itself. The sucked in water should go up since the check valves do not let them go back down. Those 3 bolts and nuts adjusts the amount of water in the 3 pipe chamber.

Whenever using PVC pipe and couplings always glue both pieces even though it says cement, it is a welding chemical, that literally melts both pieces together , traditionally, not a glue.
And as we both know wet concrete does not stick to dry concrete.

The valve assembly with the slotted pipe in a pipe is excellent.
I've never had a pvc glue with that long of an open time. The glue here hardens in 6 or 8 months so I just buy this blue lava stuff that is always on clearance. It is about as fast as they get. Not sure any of it is open that long. I've used near all of the different kinds and the most longest not more than 30 seconds. Might need polyurethane glue to have enough time to assemble it.

What I like best about this video is not having all of the “don’t forget to wear your safety glasses,” and “wear you steel toed shoes” warnings. You can tell this is not in America because we can’t build anything anymore with having Uber safety shoved in our faces, even mandated by the government. This guy is just getting it done.

A practice that I have used when gluing PVC together to prevent leaks, is to twist the components being glued as you push them together before the glue sets up or dries.

This is a great idea. It is an energy and money saver as well. But as what you have said( as a caution) this pump can explode at high pressure. Then as a suggestion, there must be some kind of an emergency pressure releasing device to pop up when the pressure tank is about to exceed its pressure limit. Correct me if I'm wrong, similar to that of a pressure cooker. Anyway, thank you for sharing this idea.

    • @barryschaffer2825

The 3 pressure valves in the pipes where the water is coming out will keep it from building too much pressure.Because they will open when the pressure is high.
